Congratulations on the video. I'm looking for these milling cutters to carry out this type of work. But I haven't found those cutters yet. Could you tell me what model these cutters are?
Great video. Just received my SS and am getting it rolling. Any chance of sharing the bits and speeds and feed rates. I’m looking at doing the same for my boat. Thanks
How did you get a outline of the floor? Can you use a 3d scanner? Or did you do the initial tracing on mylar and plot it on the cnc table with a probe? Thanks
There is a number of ways to accomplish this -- they make laser scanning devices for high volume needs but for many they use cardboard or tracing paper and then outline the shape and use the digitizing / tracing feature our controller offers standard to recreate the shape in CAD
This video features our IS-EVA model found here: www.shopsabre.com/cnc-routers/is-eva-series/ Please give our team a call or fill out a quote request form to get started. Now's the best time of the year to get a new ShopSabre.
Great video. I know you say you use VCarve Pro for scanning the template, but how is this done? What am I looking for in the program? Thanks in advance.
Hi Stefano, we ran these at 400 IPM and 24000 RPM. The key is to run each tool in both a climb and conventional cut. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Yes, on the screen our system will display RPM & IPM - both are adjustable on the fly with the appropriate machine options. In this video, we ran 400IPM & 24K
The process we show is the way to achieve the best results. Some companies will cut out processes and steps but ultimately cutting corners rarely produces the same results.
I have a 1325 ATC Blue Elephant CNC. I cut Ausdek EVA flooring for a business. My machine runs at 18,000 rpm. I would like to buy the tool bits you're using. Is my top RPM speed too slow for a clean/best cut.?
We do recommend vacuum for this application and best performance as screws do not provide even holding force and can lead to accuracy concerns. You likely will want to consider using Tape on the backside to help if you are going to do this without vacuum.
@@shopsabre Cheers Mate, double sided tape was on my mind to use also . Issue to would be that i only have a drag knife capability therefor risk movement of medium with that also. I'll have a crack at it one way or another .
That "golf ball" shaped bit was interesting. Leaves such a clean finish! Beautiful end result. Boy sure would love that ATC on my SS23 :)
Yeah, we thought so too. It was satisfying when it cleaned up the rough spots. Thanks for watching!
Well done gentlemen!
Thanks for watching, Michael!

Absolutely, we appreciate the comment if you call our parts department they can help you get the right tooling needed. 952-461-4570
Jacques and Kimi did not want to share info, thanks for the videos
You are welcome, thanks for watching
Great video.

Awesome!! Thanks for watching Ian. Make sure to watch part one.
what is the difference in cut depth for the decking bit and the carbide ball bit?
Can you post links of the bits, so we can buy
How did you hold the material while machining? I have a Busch Vacuum system and it doesn't want to hold it.
We used the ShopSabre Vacuum hold down technology
looks great! what brand of marine flooring did you use?
We are specifically using the brand Seadek in this video

Our tech support team can help you with any software questions, you can reach out to them through our phone line.
What do you charge to route a 4x8 sheet of EVA foam for boats?
We build the machines, we don't price out jobs for customer work so we do not have a good recommendation
Is it possible to know how fast the spindle is turning and the speed of the machine?

Could i use just the eva bit? Or does it make it that much more cleaner using the burr bit? Alot of xompanies are using 1 bit.

Hey, thank u for your video, I have a questions, where can I buy Eva foam ???

@shopsabre is the ecocam available to add to the ISM?
Drop our parts team an email (parts@shopsabre.com) and they'll get back to you real fast with an answer and quote.
No, the ISM currently is not compatible with the Ecocam
any recommendations for cutting on a non-vacuum bed? Using mdf sacrificial so able to add screws

how did you keep flat the material in the table?
The vacuum system works to hold it in place
how is the eva foam held down please?
Vacuum
hello friend what software do you use to copy the markup and scan!
