I have a survivalist mentality to a degree, and I love the outdoors too. Having off grid power is very liberating, if you like to have modern toys at your campsite. The ability to do some remote woodworking is also very appealing to me. Imagination is the limit.
What I like: Though it's over 25 pounds, it's small in size and very portable. It packs a large 1200W with an ability to ramp up power to 2500W if needed! It has a very handy App. It has a large variety of power outlets and is capable of running multiple items at once. It's quiet and has multiple power modes. It has a long life and a 5 year warranty to back it up.
What I don't like: I'm struggling to find something that would deter me from spending my own money on one of these, or recommending that you don't... but I can't.
So, with the current economy and world in mind, I can recommend this product with confidence, as long as it fits your budget. Going in debt for anything these days is a bad idea, if it can be prevented. That is my opinion. That being said, this is a great sale and an opportunity to acquire this power unit at a much lower cost than usual. No pressure, just food for thought.

Be prepared is good, also the Boy Scout motto. You prepared an excellent demonstration for us. It is as handy as a pocket in a shirt. The 4th of July and hot dogs go together very well, especially when grilled on a Traeger grill. 🇺🇲

Can use it to jump start a car battery?
You might be able to charge a 12v battery over time... but jump starting is a whole other amperage issue. To the best of my knowledge, this unit isn't designed for the 200-600 amps (roughly) output required to start a car.
