    So you did this the hardest way possible... next time just use a wet sandmold use the candle lantern holder its self as the form and you'll get the perfect length and shape. you can also grease the sides of those pipes to prevent sticking but you really don't want your wax to be boiling hot when you pour it you want it just melted. the benefit to this is the cold water instantly hardens the outer layer of wax and you have the perfect shape. The draw backs are it can loss some wax if the sand isnt saturated enough and there will be sand on the outside of your candle.
    you also have the option to do dip candles for the UCO candles witch is how they most likely make them all you do is dip the candle into melted wax then dip wax coated witch into water this lets you make more than one candle at a time and has a far shorter drying time. The benefit to this is you get better candles and can transfer that skill to making more high quality candles. The down side is it might take longer idk I've never made a dipped candle that thick. you could just make a massively long candle and cut it but that seems impractical.
