@@Jacob-mg1yh Tony Hawk invented the fingerflip on vert after seeing Rodney Mullen doing fingerflips on flat popped off the ground like 0:00 , then invented airwalk on transition first as he had to take his feet off in a nosegrab for fingerflips so it's a natural progression of a fingerflip. Then Rodney took the airwalk to flatground with ollie airwalks, then the streetstyle skaters like Natas took it to street. One of the first but not the few, like kickflips but freestyle > street > vert. Interesting evolution really, late 70's to early 90's was a special time in skateboarding, & I think we're experiencing the next step with skaters like Andy Anderson, Ellis Frost & more pushing the limits of the contemporary trick selection which is really most of skateboarding tricks nowadays with freestyle being more heavily incorporated (besides ollies) & skaters skating transition as good as the do street. Thinking of it like this really shows how much Rodney Mullen, Tony Hawk & Daewon were ahead of their time...
I really feel this one is easier towards kickflip side, which is kind of weird. Also, definitely want to wait with the finger flip turning until you've actually jumped. Otherwise it feels like ripping your shoulder out lol.
What's more to see. Stupid people do stupid shit. And stupid drunks doing stupid shit is a disaster waiting to happen. I'm sure Alis life is ruined too. Just look at his eyes in any interview since. Hes dead inside.
My first actual fingerflip was with an ollie, with my fingers on the grip and thumb underneath the way mike v does his. I was never good at flipping it heelside with my thumb on the grip. The last time I tried it this way, I bent my thumb backwards and messed it up so that scared me to try this again.
This guy deserves way more subs then he gets!
Man's got 70k now 😭😁
Airwalk fingerflip! Kind of a fusion between street and freestyle.
More a vert and freestyle combo
Guys guys air walks and finger flips are the only universal trick they are street freestyle AND vert

In freestyle we try to keep our hand in the same location through the trick. Helps keep it from spinning
Nice video!
