JohnHicks ? Now you see why you should have a DJI mini 3 pro drone ? it's for situations like that.
That bike is ridiculous I would of loved this as a kid.
Man bro I would love to win this bike
I’ll sent you what we use in California and around the contry
can you send a dirt jump with this or would it break lol
10:14 reason being is that on the west coast they have wet hydrants compared to the north east coast which they have dry hydrants, the difference is the wet hydrants store water up to the hydrant itself, whilst dry hydrants have the water stored underground and then a valve gets released to flow the water. Only reason is due to the cold weather, and water freezing, I’m a retired firefighter and we got training on both types

28:54 A second of pleasure 😂
That's just... disappointing
I only saw censored
Guess that's why he can't return there. The You Tube censorship gang is not one to f**k with.😅
Womp womp
So, it is in the video.
Your videos helped me when I was in the ER yesterday. Love watching your videos. Keep up the amazing work. You're awesome & love your laugh. 😊
I love how he greets everyone he rides past as he's trying to see what's happening its so heartwarming 😊✨

🤝🤝🤝
Same reason u clicked
Same
Honestly I'm not surprised
We need a clone of you in every major city across the USA. That’d be ideal. With your conversation skills, and humor. 👍
I would love too see a John hicks cross country trip stopping at every city for sur Ron adventures!!
@@bwjvlogsok! Even better!
That'd be sick
That would definitely be sick
😶
Water park with no entrance fee.😊 This series is getting better and better by the episode. Very entertaining and fun, as always. Thank you for the adventure. I look in their rearview mirror as well when I do lane splitting. Alley cruising at its finest. A lot of girls are "working" today. 19:17, 24:57 & 31:11📞Take care, stay safe! Peace!
I lived in south central when I was young back in the 90s it was wild west back then the streets look horrible now haven't been back going on 20 something years now don't miss Cali or LA at all, thanks for the ride good to remember those streets I use to ride my bike on them streets.
The sheer amount of fun you`re having with your electric bike is just mindboggling to me.
My husband and I love driving out ebikes behind business buildings like alleys. Its so interesting whats behind them. We drove a few times in ghetto areas and in bad parts of flint MI filled with gang looking graffiti and run down areas but with fancy cars. We try to stay out of those areas. It was mostly because we did not know better but still love the riding the bikes behind strip malls and in industrial areas just to see whats there. Places we would not take our cars. Love your channel. So awesome
You ever run into RMC or Krispyylife?
@@MikkelPerksettu funny asl😂
the hydrant has it's own valve down below it(or should). If there isn't a valve directly to the hydrant, next recouse is to find the closest valve to the hydrant to shutdown that segment of water line.
Dead on,my friend!!!
Would that cut water supply to peoples homes or is that two separate systems?
@@FADWC if it’s directly at the hydrant it would only be the feed to the hydrant.
@8:07 the fact that homie acknowledged the rent a cops bŕocha (mustache) makes him a G, 😂😂😂 he's the real mvp, I take my hat off for yu sir haha
Child of the 80s here. If you glue a playing card to the front frame so it's just above the wheel, you will never again be sprayed by water from below on your bike.
This works well with the front tire. The back tire is less of a problem.
Love the freedom you guys have to ride around on your sur ron. Seems like you always have a blast
28:54
You’re welcome.
This the reason why I love John is because he literally showing me around cali without having me being there physically but it’s best to be there physically to feel their air
Thanks for taking one one for the team hicks, good content appreciate ya bro...
"we're in a Drout. Don't collect rain water"
Every 2 weeks in LA:
Big John, as always another great ride with you, thanks for letting us tag along, till next time, peace ✌ out my friend
your approach to content is incredibly refreshing!
The prince of psi visits post apocalyptic water world.
Nice.
3:07 raging water 😂😂😂😂 city boy
What protection do you have for your tires from not getting a flat?
Thanks in advance for the answer.
I love it when motorized vehicles ignore traffic laws.
Theres a valve in the street somewhere that they can turn it off. The hydrants have a break off area that makes them easy to replace.
they just go down the street. usually 20 ft from the corner. theres either a lil access man hole in the street or beside the curb. the just turn the gate valve off going to that big ol 8" main pipe. i think its over 300 psi. not sure tho. never had to close one. long time fan hixfam!!
That water looked disgusting!!!! Who knew you could actually make a Scion look decent by converting it to a pickup truck? Always great to wake up to a new video to watch with my morning coffee, thanks John!
I put pedals on mine yesterday..i didn't realize the holes had threads. Lol.. so much more comfortable
When your tires still have little hairs and deep tread, they aren't bald.
Love this, Inspired me to upload my ride outs
your videos give me hope, life has been shit all my life, you give me hope and inspiration, have been watching you for a while
You isolate the line first. Most likely some valves downstream that can be closed. Or maybe also some upstream and redirect flow. If that isn’t possible I would assume they would create a temporary bypass line by hot tap stopple method. So that they can work on the broken hydrant (while it’s not spraying). Most likely parts just need to be replaced and maybe some welding. Utility lines are easy to fix though.
You are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge!
I grew up in that area, there's always traffic in that area. To go 15 miles takes 40 minutes. You always have to leave early for traffic.
Number one Crash Test Dummy on a Surron.....thanx for sharing brother.....Stay Up, Hard, and Free.......✨️🔥❤️💯👍🏽
You're braver than I. You wouldn't catch me anywhere near that dank ass LA poop street, runoff water..
4:38 green shorts latina is thiccccc
nah frrr
I'm not the only one who noticed XD.
She's a 3.5
Hydrants are secured with or should be secured with hollow bolts and very easy to break off. There's a failsafe. valves down the line that can be turned off. It's just getting the people out to do it.
That's right, dead on,my friend!!
The water dept has to shutoff the flow of water in that area. Then, they plug that hole up. We had that happen several weeks back.
God bless you John! I enjoy your videos!
Love the bike 🏍️ ❤ first time here and subscribed
“Nasty stagnant water” literally just leaked out of the hydrant.
The heartbeat sound effect in the intro is kinda hard with headphones on..
What are you waiting to put a fender ?
Hey John how do attach said bmx peddles onto your surron?
That water is blessed from the fountain of life
You might be on to something with the pedals. Having them staggered could make a big difference, plus the wider platform….
I would have to put pegs on my e-bike….or get a Suron kind of thing.
Sick you got a surron bro! I’ve been watching your videos for ages! Way before I got my own surron about a year and and a half ago.. if you ever want someone to ride in the hood with I’m way down!! I live in Hollywood and know a few jump spots in the area if that’s up your alley too. Lmk bro! I’m always on my surron lol actually I’m kinda surprised we haven’t crossed paths yet haha. Have a good weekend my dude..
Love your videos bro take care!
15:09 shout out abuelita 👵🏽🤝🏽
Always have to maintain situational awareness in L.A. Worked enough years in EMS on the streets :)
Absolutely love the Surron cruise videos!! What happened to your 2022 Surron? Did I miss a video? I have one identical to the new one you’re riding now! They’re so much fun!
where did you get the bike im in the marked for one
Surrons look fun, and it looks like they have no rules in some cities. Re stopping the rogue fire hydrant they simply cut thread into the pipe that is broken and than screw a cap over it...I THINK thats how it goes. Then a new hydrant can be screwed to the new pipe whenever it gets there. Gross yea, Imagine all the stuff floating in L.A back streets?
😅There's a big fountain there LOL😂😂
Close the gate valve to that part of the water main. Hydrants are designed to break off if hit.
Now make the same video . Same route and streets but on a friday or Saturday midnight to about 3am
About getting the door opened on you there is a new rule in england about it. if you open the right side of door dont use the right hand use your left and same if on left side use your right. the reason is if you use the closest arm example right hand opened right door your going to be opening it at a reasonable force, but if open it with left hand on right side door it wont be as forceful as your using the opposite hand. you could do a video of you delivering the Suron (Sir Ron lol) to the person who won if they are in USA. You could ride it to their home.
Gotta love the waving people that just want to give you a handshake with a knife
Need to say, riding around on that bike do looks really cool!
It's called the main and it's underground they take a long pole and stick it down in the hole and twist it and that turns the water off I learned this from the water company in Indianapolis
What watch band do you have on your ultra?
23:05
S14 spotted
also looks like an e60 right next to it
w
John, don't suppose your out and about on your bike next couple of days, I am in LA at the moment from the UK, would be cool to see you about while I'm here
Speaking on summer nearly arriving, all the snow where I live melted and the streets got dry, then yesterday it started snowing again and today there's like two inches of snow again. Sucks because I finally got my offroad scooter fixed. Just gotta be patient, I guess.
Me and my boys would rush thru that fire hydrant fountain real quick lol
Destroyed fire hydrant probably threw a few hundred thousand gallons of water onto the road. While the state is in a multi-year drought. How sad.
Lov yor videos! You should ride through venice onetime
Just ordered the Bikelife hoodie! cant wait for that. And who knows i might win the bike
@16:35 Yes, now that you say that ..I notice that I do that at times..Look in they're rear view mirror 🙏
🤙
Aye at least your streets gonna get cleaned for once lmao
i love your vids s much keep up the good work
How long does the battery last you
LA-OC showed a fire hydrant being shut off via a valve in the road by two firefighters last month.
Haha I used to live above that iglesia de dios and over on main st later on crazy I’ll have to ask my friends if they shut off the hydrant yet
Anybody know what bike (make & model) he’s riding in the vid?
Yup, always Check your 6. You got to have situational awareness while ripping around, especially in densely populated areas. Good on you
You should go ride through East Lancaster, lots of action there always
Yu just rode past Craig crib nice never would think I pull catch that thru GoPro
My Nieghborhood! Whats up "G" is the correct salutation lol!
I think they need to close off the feeds(lines) to that area. It takes time. Then bring in the new hydrant
Dude, you're a prime example how not to act on a bike like that.
The thumbnail was in the video 💀💀
Hopefully your shots are update to date after this ride.
Next time ride around watts by firestone and alameda going west. Currently watts has been more active than compton
Your fire trucks are wicked.
I’ve seen that quite a few times in my life, just in that area.
High power lines were touching the water from the hydrant, be careful.
Was his bike taken ?
What about doing this with one of those 50mph+ scooters?
I wonna be on my surron xbee so bad but the weather be bipolar up here in Maine
OXNARD! Hit Oxnard at some point
Send out the search party, John is lost daily now.
10:14
Sweet shett Hicks👌🤙
It’s called a KO’ed Fire hydrant. Water utility workers
Is your bike stock ?
what baicke is you raiding?
Nothing like a geyser in the hood
