I had the same issue and approached the service centre. They replaced the screen free of cost even though I didn't have apple care or warranty. If there is physical damage or water spillage they will reject the repair request and you have to pay for the repair.

it happened to me on 13 pro max, paid 1/3 of phone cost to get it worked within 14 month of purchase, No drop or hard handling of the expensive intelligent phone, so much protection front and back. After update of 16 ios some hardware's firmware might not be compatible, in screen wake-up interaction. This is ridiculously expensive for an "i"Phone. APPLE NEED TO REVIEW THIS SERIOUSLY

வணக்கம் ஜீ , கடந்த 17 ஏப்ரல் 24 அன்று யூடியூப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கும் போது எனது I phone 13 screen முழுவதும் கருப்பாக மாறிவிட்டது, warranty முடிந்து கிட்டத்தட்ட 4 மாதங்களுக்கும் மேல் ஆகிவிட்டது charge போட்டாலும் charge ஆவதில்லை இது நடக்கும் ஒரு வாரத்திற்கு முன்புதான் 17.4.1 version ஐ மொபைலில் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்தேன் அது மட்டுமன்றி இது வரையிலும் ஒரு முறை கூட மொபைல் கிழே விழுந்ததும் இல்லை ஒரு துளி அளவும் தண்ணீர் கூட பட்டது இல்லை ஆனால் சர்வீஸ் center செல்லும் போது அவர்கள் hardwere issues உள்ளது 38 ஆயிரம் கட்டுங்கள் 48 ஆயிரம் கட்டுங்கள் என்று அங்கு வேலை செய்யும் ஊழியர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர் ஆகையால் இதில் பாதிக்கப்பபோவது i phone ஐ கனவாக நினைத்து வாங்கும் பலரும் ஏமாற்றம் அடைவார்கள். இதை சரி செய்ய உங்களுக்கு தெரிந்ததை பதில் அளிக்க கேட்டுக்கொள்கின்றேன்.
Worst experience happened to us as a green screen problem. Best way to avoid further expenses is throw away this nasty iphone. Any phone you buy, it may works nicely only for 3 years. So, buy phone in moderate price.
This not iPhone bug Many manufactures affected with green line issue.
