- Today on the show, we're talking about Klarion The Witch-Boy, in his story Seven Soldiers: Klarion. In this story we see Klarion rebel against everything he was brought up with, the very foundation of every puritanical Witch-Person, and their worship of Croatoan, and we see him step into the unknown, and we also talk about the Kabbalistic and occultistic influences in this story!
"Klarion the Witch Boy is a fictional character, a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Klarion the Witch Boy first appeared in The Demon #7 (March 1973) and was created by Jack Kirby.
In 2005, a new version of Klarion starred in his own mini-series as one of the seven main characters in Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers of Victory. Morrison described this character as a return to the original Kirby version with some updates, including the return of Klarion's original overall look, and a move away from the Peter David version.[1] The new version of Klarion is an inhabitant of an underground community known as Limbo Town, inhabited by the Puritan witch descendants of the lost population of Roanoke. Limbo Town is actually located beneath New York City's subway system. Being a rebellious sort, Klarion clashes with the controlling and pious Submissionary Judah, the religious leader and defender of the town. Klarion attempts to leave, but in doing so attracts the attention of a terrifying entity known as the Horigal." - Wiki

So, this is kind of a backstory for klarion the witch boy. So, when dose he run into Batman and Etrigan the demon?(the person he first fought against) would love to know how this story fits into his History. Great video. Looking foward to more Seven Soldiers videos.

This was incredibly helpful. I'm legally blind, so reading comics is already kind of diffucult for me. But finding comics with Klarion in them is a task in and of itself. I read a lot of bios on him, as well as saw him in things like Young Justice, Justice League Action, and I'm pretty sure they sort of borrowed him for Justice League under the name Mordrid. Which, I guess he could be a separate character and Morgan Le Fae's son, but his character design and strangely familiar ginger cat lead me to believe they just filed off his serial number.
But again, thank you so much for going through this comic bit by bit.

This is by far one of my favorite stories. The art style is so dark and bleak. Klation should revert back to this look.
I’m later than usual but I’m glad I got to this video. This was amazing, not just the story and you talking about klarion as a character but you talking about Kabbalah too. I really like how I learned something I didn’t expect or know with this video. Like i said in my last comment. It’s also extremely interesting when you talk about mysticism and the occult and your past with it. It’s nice to see the couple times we get to. Your content is getting better and better. It feels like your history videos got a magical upgrade.

I honestly thought Klarion being on a team had some potential because he could either add some comedy with his antics other heroes would consider annoying or he would just do some very messed up stuff that would worry others. But I feel like there was a lot of potential wasted in Raven: Daughter of Darkness. In fact, there was a lot of potential wasted in that comic book series. I think the only thing I kinda found adorable is when Klarion developed a crush on Raven which was a bit odd but I thought it was fun to read. Sadly, it went nowhere.

Zattana's fatal flaw is guilt and Klarions' is curiosity. Zattana's guilt kept her from using her magic for weeks but once she overcame that guilt she became more powerful than ever. Klarion..I dont really no much about him yet😂😂 But he has A LOT of curiosity
