In my heart I know he did not do drugs of any kind and the media lie's. They took own betcha by golly wow because on the back of his white coat it had 3121 on it... Something to think about.
you always have to go away to get your home town to respect you and your music. They will love you more when they find out your from there when you made it instead of trying to come up with in your home town. Trust me, being from Hartford CT and only doing shows in Hartford font get you any where because you're just a local rapper/singer. When other people from other places show love, that's when your home town steps up says "yeah that's our home town hero". I bet it was the same when prince first started.
Especially when he still lived right in his hometown. People were so used to him being their neighbor, that whenever he came home from tour, they welcomed him with open arms. That city will be forever changed.
It's the only place Prince didn't sell out a show. It was so weird. I flew there from NY to go to a party at Paisley Park and the ppl in the airport, stores and restaurants didn't even know he was still there! When we said we were there to see Prince, they said "where?" We said "Paisley Park" and they said "Is that still there?" Whenever he threw a dance party with one days notice, only locals could come and sometimes there would be less than 100 ppl there. Parties almost every weekend in the summer and they didn't go! He let us in for $20 and he jammed like he was in an arena for 40 ppl. Apparently they didn't follow him on Twitter or IG because that's where he'd announce them. Here we were WISHING we could get there and the folks there could care less. It drove me crazy. They all came out of the woodwork when he died tho.
IKR? So many things he said...and his last performance of "Purple Rain" at his very last performance sounded like he was saying goodbye...The way he sang it...sadly...softly...slow...like never before. Gave me chills!! Did he know something no one else did? Subconsciously or in premonition....At least in a premonition a person can take caution...and prevent the actual event...OMG!! Our minds and hearts cannot rest. We are tortured by warning signals that were there. How the chain of events occurred which should have sent up flashing red lights!!! This restlessness of ours, trying to undo his loss in our minds and disbelief is killing us!
+ANGELA FALSETTA I believe it has done it to us all will forever be reminded and haunted by that the what ifs how why when where questions that we ask ourselves why
allure searles It will never end. We are not at rest...no peace can be found... because we lost this man...and the way that we will never know. Forever haunted!! Love to you!
Prince had a gift, of vision: he was aware enough to know that he may not live a long life yet he was a peace with knowing. He new that 4 - 5 hours a night with pain even then may not being sustainable. He was built different.
Who else grew up in the Twin Cities in the 00's and LOVES Robyne Robinson?!?! She was THE newswoman to come home to as a kid after playing outside! Also had the BEST hairstyles!
There was nothing wrong with Prince. He was no doubt traumatized and entitled to cope with his music, plus he was gifted with mutual brilliance. I think all we can say is thank you.
Not true. Please please please. Prince was all about love and peace. We weren't there and don't know the circumstances or reasons for that time in his life. I do know he chose her and loved her and for that, I respect his choice. It was never about us any way or our opinions. RIP Prince
Prince alludes to a major change in 1987 in this interview, in light of what other certain official studio channels are discussing, you can certainly now, today, paint a clearer picture. This in my estimation as a 30, no nearly 40 year Prince 'super fan' is one of Prince's most important interviews. And it's interesting because he was kind of far detached creatively stylistically and thematically from the SOTT-BA-LS eras by the late 90s. Prince faced adversity and discrimination, exploitation, and fought it expertly. Role model, a kind of different teacher.
It just makes sense. He did all the work. Writing, playing, singing, etc. I know the company gets a cut, but come on now. He stood up for what he believed in, tall and proud. The industry is still wrong. 360 deal and setting up artists to fail. Bae, I kinda disagree with the criticizing thing. You've criticized music before. And you know you have. I think because you played all the instruments you felt like nobody could tell you anything. I get it, but you had a few albums that people didn't like which lead to criticism.
He's the only one ever to take total control of his own career and survive in that business ,looking back now it's an incredible thing he did ,
It sure is amazing. I hope that new artists who come into the business will be able to follow in his footsteps. I know I would like to have control over my own work.

In my heart I know he did not do drugs of any kind and the media lie's. They took own betcha by golly wow because on the back of his white coat it had 3121 on it... Something to think about.
Jenn he was psychic, he was into a lot of spiritual stuff before he became a Jehovah witness. His symbol is a type of sigil magic.
Grampa P is about 2 turn 60 in 2 Months!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!! 😄😄😄😄😄
But still whoop dat behind tho if ya act up!! 😂😂😂💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Wow I didn't kno we those cuff earrings were in style in the late 90s I thought it was a 200s thing.

I love his interviews.
God willing I will make it to 60😢
That broke my heart when he said that ugh
Me too! So heartbreaking! :(
I believe he is playing for God himself now. God felt we had more time than we deserve with his creation.

I wish he would just take off his shades😎😋😘. SO BEAUTIFUL
you always have to go away to get your home town to respect you and your music.
They all came out of the woodwork when he died tho.
another premonition of his, seems to know he wont last til 60yrs.old.
Sad...he didn't make it :(. Love him
Yeah he knew it all sure
"God willing I make it to 60" :(
Who else grew up in the Twin Cities in the 00's and LOVES Robyne Robinson?!?! She was THE newswoman to come home to as a kid after playing outside! Also had the BEST hairstyles!
The reporter sure didn't do her homework cuz I just found out that New Power Soul album made #22 on billboard's 200 when it came out....
i love him so much
Miss him. Every. Damn. Day.

putting real insight notationally concerning everything
Man, I hate that I lost those two original copies of GCS2000 CD.....
There was nothing wrong with Prince. He was no doubt traumatized and entitled to cope with his music, plus he was gifted with mutual brilliance. I think all we can say is thank you.
I didn't like hearing how he didn't like playing cities that give him bad reviews. Who cares about reviews, no need to stick it to the fans.
see that half moon earring on his ear? That is selling for 7 thousand dollars. It's part of his first wife's collection that she is selling.
It hurt my soul when he said "god willing I'll make it to 60"
Long live PRN #legacy!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
