  • Watch and see how this school lunch center cooks for over 3000 students from 4 different schools in Tokyo! This is all food for just 1 day! It is a very big operation that involves a huge number of people and very sanitary and clean conditions. You can see the lengths these workers go to to maintain high sanitary standards and deliver the safest food possible for the students.

      Because this is pre made for 4 schools in Tokyo at this factory, and shipped across town, the actual schools don't prepare the food on site like in the US, a completely different system. The dense population makes this possible

      @TheLostBear78 2 месяца назад +2

      @@shable1436Are you sure? I grew up in a small town in the Midwest, this video said 3000 students. My High school alone had 1500 students. Unless their schools are all a lot smaller then a rural Midwest town's school's. I can't imagine that this serves more than a couple schools max.

    • @sharmai
      @sharmai 2 месяца назад +3

      @@TheLostBear78 Not putting this video down because it IS amazing but their dense population makes this kind of handling an almost necessity. A simple cold could outbreak into hundreds of students and end up as 1000's of people becoming infected in turn. In the USA our lack of density ends up in our food handling being subpar. Nevermind trying to imagine the insane costs involved in the transportation and connection of so many organic producers.

    "Children cannot choose their food themselves, so us adults have to choose responsibly. We base the food selection on what we would want our own kids to eat."
    That's just the complete opposite of America. And it extends to everything we eat too, how fast food companies don't care about the food at all. Japanese fast food is so much better too.

      yea i think one issue the usa has compared to japan, is the way infrastructure is setup in general.
      i am personally from the netherlands. but when i look at the usa i tend to see 3 big factors, the concept of a stroad(neither a street or road but a mix of both), and just how much there is of it.
      and the lack of being able to intermingle certain infrastructure. as they love to divide suburbia, from anything commercially/public usage and heavier industry.
      japan density in some spots has made them very efficient whit how thing are setup, from a planning perspective but also being several times more flexible to usa rules.
      so yea one location can easily service a fairly large area.
      here in the netherlands some of the larger schools just have this aspect build in to a far lesser degree.
      though while some do locally source ingredients, i don't think we even match some of these Japanese cooking stations.
      since jus the scale makes it so much easier to become reliable market share locally.

      they will do anything to keep the white population as the dominant one (even though it should be the natives) by messing up all the food, and mostly putting those unhealthy foods that have all the toxins in lower class neighborhoods which also happen to be dominated by racial minorities, if they can supply crack and drugs into those neighborhoods, what makes you think they won't supply unhealthy foods to those neighborhoods?

    Wow, all literally farm to table as well. Lucky kiddos that the parents and staff care so much about getting them fresh delicious food for lunch everyday.

    I work for a worldwide baking company… the biggest commercial baking company in the world. My plant is just east of Vancouver Canada. I’ve been there 32 years.
    People would be disgusted by how filthy our plant is and that there is next to no sanitation with the workers!
    The Japanese are light years ahead of us in North America when it comes to pride in food processing and sanitation 😢
    Thank you for this quality video ❤

    Wow! Such dedication to the health of their children. Culture is much different than where I live; hence the desire to take care of their community is so strong. I used to live in Japan awhile back. I do miss the food culture there

    I work in a kitchen but nothing of this calibre. Absolutely amazing, awe-inspiring and inspirational! I could only dream to work in a professional environment like this. Lots to learn as well. I am proud to see such great work and effort coming from the team to cook children quality, nutritious meals. Absolute respect!

    They prepare school lunches just like how it would be in hospital setting. Very clean and organised, definitely HACCP compliant.

    給食食べてた時は何とも思わなかったけど、改めて考えてみると数百人の子どもたちが同じ料理を大体同じ量食べてるのにほとんどの人が美味しいと思って食べきれてるのすごいな
