Acrylic does not stick to metals. Baking soda will rust ferrous metal.
You are not right!
Acrylic paint does not adhere well to metal only in the first layer (primer) and if the metal is not treated in any way.
We treated the tin cans with sandpaper and then nail polish remover, we just didn't show it in the video.
And such tin cans will not suffer from the effects of baking soda; they are made of a stainless steel alloy and can only be damaged by very long exposure to a humid environment.
