    Speaker Biography: Simran Saini received a PhD in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014. From 2015-2021, she performed R&D for next generation oncology and non-invasive prenatal testing projects within Roche Sequencing Solutions in Santa Clara, CA, which included the development of digital PCR assays on the Roche Digital LightCycler® System. Recently, Dr. Saini joined the Research Department at Roche Molecular Diagnostics in Pleasanton, CA to explore novel sequencing workflows, applications and technologies.

    Webinar Abstract: We will discuss the Digital LightCycler System, a digital PCR (dPCR) system for DNA and RNA with 6-color capability for flexible, multiplexed biomarker detection. With advances in sensitivity, precision, flexibility, and integration, the Digital LightCycler System is a powerful digital PCR system that aims to help laboratories push the boundaries of clinical research forward. Three configurations of consumables are available to meet varied application needs, including high sample volume for cfDNA screening or greater number of partitions for high-resolution CNV analysis. We will present data that demonstrates the sensitive performance of the Digital LightCycler System as the powerful new addition to the Roche PCR ecosystem.
