Thank you, Patrick, for your comeback. Your were my teenage emotional patron and your music shaped my soul and becomes a foundation for my adult sensitivity. I even traveled all way from Poland to Birmingham on my 18th birthday to celebrate it on your live concert. Now your return makes me feel like my teenage years are back again. The same intensive emotions are back. Thank you for that.
Old comment, I know, but I feel this. Patrick has helped me with a lot of my.. less than better parts. Also lovely to see a queer artist that isn't all "un-tis"
Yours is the first comment I've ever read on one of his videos here and I relate so much! I didn't know many male artists with his demeanor or energy, something about his music made me feel understood as a teenager. Very happy to see something recent. It's just as beautiful as the music I remember daydreaming and making plans for the future to.
Patrick Wolf has the power of making me feel immersed into another world. A world of dream, beauty and infinte depth. Thanks Patrick for sharing your marvellous art with us, giving us the chance to feel and live all these emotions. Over the last ten years I have asked myself many times what happened to you and if you would come back. Luckily here you are, never banal and always sublime.
PW is not simply releasing music and vids. PW is giving birth to art & beauty, including all the blood, sweat & tears and anticipation that comes along with it. ❤ thank you for this breathtaking masterpiece, watching it was almost a meditative experience.
I burst into tears with the lyrics , “ when I was a boy I used to worship the thunder “. My heart is so heavy and full . Seeing an homage to his mother and the laundry on washing line.thank you Patrick love you so much for sharing this
This is so raw and beautiful… I almost feel as if I just read the pages of someone’s journal. I feel lucky to see these pages and nuances of your journey. Having just unexpectedly lost my mother on March 20, I feel absolutely brittle emotionally and I feel myself going on a journey I never planned for. I have the feeling that this EP will serve as medicine as well as a healing balm for my heartache. You’ve been in my heart and headphones for over 12 years now and there is always some eerie synchronicity with your music and my life’s experiences. I’m so grateful for that. Thank you for being you and being brave and for keeping your feet planted in the ground when the loneliness and sadness devoured you. You are so precious and we are lucky to have you along side us on this planet. 🖤✨
Love from South Korea! ♥ I've been listening to your music since 2011 and I am still following. I'm glad I accidentally found you and your music. Thank you, Patrick!
I had longed for him to release new music for years now… so happy to know he is back, even happier to be able to close my eyes and realise time has made him evolve yet remain pure and loyal to his unique sound
Feels like such a long journey back to yourself, but like Nietzsche said "He, who has a why to live for, can bear with almost any how" beautiful art beautiful work and once it's out it's everyones and part of the cosmos too.
Oh, I will have to rewatch this a million times - such a wonderful work of art. Such depths in music and imagery. It's such a blessing to have him back.
The EP is a place where you can find peace at darkness and it becomes happiness where your soul is back to you. Thank you for making me feel this way. I'm so grateful 🖤
Your music is mystery and dream and longing and darkness. It takes me on a journey and at the end I feel transformed. All I can say is thank you for moving me this deeply. So happy to have you back.
Beloved Patrick, I don’t have words except those to express gratitude and love for the art you bring into this world and for the humanity contained within you. You are able to access something divine and you choose to share it with all of us. Thank you, I love you.
It's Andy with the big guns (arms) from your Brisbane 2012 gig that would have requested you play 'Thickets', Patrick. So glad you're finally back! Keep the music coming as it's so above the crowd's heads, it will one day be revered forever. And thank you to Joseph Wilson: a brilliant realisation!
Watching this again and again into 2024 🖤 Does anyone else see what might be allusions to his Magic Position era in the night safari video? Maybe he has discussed the imagery on his Patreon (I’m a member but haven’t properly kept up with it! Btw all the fans here should join it if you haven’t.) But anyway, the outfit with the hair that’s muddy reminds me of his hair in that era (looks red under the mud) and the outfit too. Plus the figure who is probably his mom is lining very sparkly shirts to dry on the clothesline. So interesting given how loud, visible, and joyful-presenting that era was, in contrast with the isolated and dark time he’s been in before releasing this album. I love him so much and I’m so glad he’s come back with art like this 🖤🖤🖤
My favorite song of yours has been "Bitten" but this EP is definitely giving that song a run for its money. This is such a beautiful release, thanks for coming back Patrick!
Not only am I extremely happy that Patrick is releasing this beautiful new music, I'm happy to see how so many other fans have also been touched by his work.
I have spent years hoping Patrick would return to creating his music, I discovered your music by chance, became a fan, have fantastic memories of your gig at Manchester Pride and happy to find you again. Congratulations on your EP
stunning video to go with amazing songs! congratulations Patrick and Joseph for a wonderful collaboration. sadly, the chat froze and kicked us all out after all... 😀
This gives me Lana del ray vibes. My mom used to stay up late every night. It's when she connected with herself and the universe. It was also a curse she couldn't sleep. There have been nights when the only comfort I had during my night safaris were when the birds started chirping at around 5 am. A final cig then I could finally sleep.

Yessss. Me too. Absolutely floored. How personal and poetic…my heart feels ripped open yet somehow soothed. Alchemy. 🖤
