- A video to coincide with the launch of the album 'Sundark and Riverlight', directed by Patrick and the amazing photographer Saga Sig, Wardrobe and Art direction from David Motta and filmed at Hilles House in Gloucester and soundtracked by the 2012 version of 'Overture'.
'Sundark and Riverlight' is a collection of songs from Patrick's 2002 - 2012 catalogue rearranged and re-recorded acoustically.

This album still means so much to me, after all this time.

I don't know why I love Patrick Wolf's music so much.... it's magical. He is so underrated...
Saw him perform the Sundark and Riverlight style tracks in a church. The acoustics for the violin and harp were just breath taking. He was absolulty brilliant interspersing his songs with poetry and a little chat. He was so shy and nervous when he first came on and apologised whenever he was tweaking instruments saying we would never come back again. So rare to find someone with so much talent so humble. He was just brilliant and this track, this version is my favourite. It's gorgeous and gives me shivers.
Lois Sadler I saw him at Union Chapel in Islington, back in December '13 for his "A Night of Winter" concert - definitely the best live music performance I've ever been to. He was a complete extrovert at that concert though, making jokes about everything from faulty computers to tea towels! Must depend what day you catch him on.
Oh i agree with every word you wrote. I also saw him on this sundark and riverlight tour back then and it was beautiful. The instruments..the voice...

I adore Patrick Wolf and his lovely crew. I wish someday he would come to Kansas City *hint hint*. I have been listening to his music for years, and all of it is like ecstasy. Never stop making music!
The original "Overture" was the first song I heard by him, and I love it with all my heart, but this version has something different and beautiful.

I absolutely cannot wait for this. I never thought he could transform something already so beautiful into something so new. I love it. Even Overture feels like it has an entirely new meaning.
what he did in darksun&riverlight is just ..... i can't even tell how much i love it. it's the best thing he could do after ten years of being the best, the most close to my heart, artist on the earth.
