  • A video of mine exploring the life and career of Edward John Smith, known for captaining ships, including the Olympic and the Titanic. Heavily inspired by ‪@JamesFoxTimeTravelArtist‬ and ‪@craigl0902‬, check them both out!

Very tempted to make a descendant video of John Smith however I couldn't get very far back with his ancestors sadly.

@JamesFoxTimeTravelArtist I took a look into his family tree, and as far as I can remember, I could only go back to his great grandparents. You might have more luck than me if you know where to look.

Tragically, as his wife grew older, she became blind and hard of hearing. Whilst stepping out of her home in 1931, she was hit by a taxi and succumbed to her injuries.
Her daughter lived a fulfilling life, outliving all of her children (who passed away in the 1940s due to polio), and she lived until the 1970s as Smith's last living descendant. She even provided consultation for and visited the set of the film 'A Night to Remember' between 1957 and 1958.
