Man, it seems extremely impossible to find ANY kind of maintenance videos or info for a Sony PS-212, and mine needs a little work.
can you make a video disassembling the sony ps -4300
a good one, it looks solid
buying a serviced one with new belt for 120 Canadian , near 90 US. Good deal? Its the wooden model which will match the wood on my Sony aMP. stoked.
Saving this as a reference for possible future issues. Cheers.
Nice video! Do folks send you their gear for repair? Wondering how to enquire about your services! Thanks!
I have a bunch of buddies who find me pieces. I give them a little extra plus cost. So, everything I film, I own. Some of it I sell on Ebay. It's honestly just a hobby... I love audio equipment.
Andy, what is your Ebay storefront? Also do you have any spare parts available for this turntable? Thanks!
Hey! I have one of these turntables. Can you tell me if it has a built-in pre-amp? I'm trying to figure out whether or not I need to hook it up to a stand-alone preamps. Thanks!
Nope, most vintage turntables are lacking a built in preamp. An external preamp can help if you already have a stereo and it does not have a phono setting.
Hey Andy. I have this same model and it's running a bit fast. Like 34.6 or so and around 46.5. I've tried a few different belts but no difference. There isn't a speed control on these motors is there? Is it a matter of adjusting the pulley height on the motor?
I have the exact same issue , were you able to fix it?
