Sleeping Sun is basically Britannic’s anthem song. Even if it’s been put on other ship wrecks it’s definitely Britannic’s either way. Change my mind. Wait, you can’t.
Uh, yeah, I can. Sleeping Sun was a tribute to the solar eclipse that occurred in Europe's sky in 1999. The song even gives you clused it's associated with solar eclipses, etc; "The sun is sleeping quietly" Do your research before assuming, you idiot.
@22 00 chill out, they mean that the song is often associated with maritime tragedies because of it’s calm and sad feeling. How about you think before you speak? Also, why so aggressive?
The lost of HMHS Britannic destroyed White Star's final hope of getting ahead of Cunard as the foremost company of the North Atlantic route. I love this Movie, It gave Britannic the recognition she long deserved.
It is amazing, and truly sad about all these ships, britannic is one of the many sunken ships, and this song perfectly fits it. The lusitania, titanic, empress of ireland, concordia, britannic, and the andrea doria were all truly horrible. RIP
This Finally got over 1M views! Congrats! The Britannic is finally getting the recognition she deserves. Maybe she'll become as famous as the Titanic. I know that the Olympic trio are sailing the pure waters of heaven, but they'll always be in our hearts...

A fanciful tale. The RMHS was not sunk by a torpedo but by striking a mine. Fortunately, the death toll was low. I was on a Mediterranean cruise on the Queen Victoria and I knew we would be in the Aegean if not close to the site of her grave. I asked at the purser's desk if we would be near her; the assistant purser was amazed by the question and said she would contact an officer who would get back to me. Later, I got a call from the Captain who said he never heard from someone who knew about this venerable ship and told me when (an early hour in the morning) we would be passing over. So the next morning I got up early, was the only on deck. When I went back to my stateroom the phone rang and it was the Captain. "Were you there?" he asked. He thanked me for remembering and that night I was invited to his cocktail party.
Did they really have green lights on Britannic's B Deck for most of the ship's length back in 1916? Now, I can understand the starboard side being lit this way, but it gets confusing when the port side is green instead of it's customary red lighting! I see that they did indeed have the required side and bow lighting as well as the white all around lights on the masts, but if they had that widespread colored lighting 99 years ago, that really was something? Maybe, what they intended was for that green stripe to be able to be seen at night as it indicated a hospital ship? If so, why not have the red crosses light up in the same way? Then, there would have been no excuse for it to be torpedoed (which she wasn't, for there were mines positioned in the Kea Channel, and Britannic hit at least one of them)!
Zach LaFleur They did indeed have the line green lights along the underside of the promenade deck on the port and starboard sides of the ship. In addition they also had red crosses along the boat deck lit up at night. And as you have surmised; the green line of lights on both sides of the ship were indeed meant to indicate she was a hospital ship, taking the place of the green stripe the ran the length of the hull which of course wouldn't be clearly visible at night.
Herobrine3400 True, she sank in the Aegean Sea during World War I, but false, there was a mine field recently laid down in the Kea Channel and she hit one of these!
Ah, you must be confused between the Lusitania (sank by torpedo on May 7, 1915), that's right, Friday will be 100 years of that one on the bottom, and Carpathia (sank by three torpedoes towards the end of July in 1918), the last year of World War I and also a time of a pandemic of influenza!
Sleeping Sun is pretty much associated with every Ship Tragedy....including lusitania,Empress of Ireland,Battle of Jutland...Cause its calm and somewhat fitting for remembering those who died at sea

Great sequence. Britannic was attacked and sunk by a WW1 German U boat, her wreak on it's side in only 350 feet of water. Photograph from my Titanic book, showing Britannic's wreak on its side and in tact, showing a massive breach, impact with the seabed?
