@@veraware5869he was right to get frustrated, esp if he's tried to talk up Olave in private w/o success. On the play Carr got angry on, Olave didn't run full speed, so there was still a defender in the area Carr was throwing to. Had Carr thrown it on time, that defender could very well have jumped the route for an easy pick 6. That's what's not being mentioned. A WR who's clearing out defenders HAS to do it on time, or he's setting the QB up for a possible pick. So Olave absolutely needs to fix that. Carr will see these big misses on tape and correct it, of that I have no doubt. Question is, will Olave step up and stop half assing his routes?
@jessegardner134 you don't know what happen behind close doors, but you can see how indecisive Carr has been, on the field. there has been no problem with Olave until Carr. How is Carr going to correct anything, he couldn't correct it with the Raiders, and then we pay him 150 million, and he let's a rookie QB out play him. I respect T J Osullivan break down, it's unprejudice with merit. Another thing Carr definitely has a certain type player he feels he can yell at, but not the one.. who dropped pass that he did connect with...hmmmm! But until he corrects his poor execution, he needs to concentrate on doing his job better as a leader, limit the theatrics, so the ball don't end up in the stand, and fans aren't booing because his lack of production. MT ,Rasheed, and others were wide open, jumping up and down, waving hands for ball, but Carr is the check down king..Nah the receivers are frustrated with his over throws, under throws and plain out no throws. I like Carr, I just think he's an overpaid, underperforming QB..A real leader doesn't point out others, to make himself good. If Brees, Brady, Mahomes acted this way I'd probably be able to accept it better, because they are doing there part. Carr isn't the only one frustrated., the receivers, and fans...check out some of podcast chats. Okay!!!I digress ..lol
@@veraware5869he actually did correct it with the raiders until McDaniels showed up, each time the raiders made the playoffs the head coach got fired, they just don’t know how to run a team in that organization anymore😂
He's not tho, at all. He didn't make 4 pro bowls (proving it wasn't an anomaly, and actually won the accuracy competition vs all the other pro bowl QB's, proving he belonged there) by being garbage. Any time he's been in a system longer then a year, he's graded as a top 10 QB. Fact is, Jags were running a variation of Tampa 2, a cover 2. That formation is used specifically to stop the pass. They weren't worried about the run game at all, they sold out to stop Carr. This is nothing new, defenses have been selling out to stop Carr for years now. That's bc he's capable of destroying defenses through the air. The counter to this is a lot of check downs. Fans don't like it, but that's the best play a lot of the time vs Tampa 2. If the run game could have contributed with a couple TDS in the RZ, Saints win and nobodys breaking down Carrs film. Unfortunately the run game is worse then the passing game in he RZ. THAT'S a problem. The issue with Carr this season is that 1, he's in a new system with all new WR's. 2, Saints OL is one of the worst in the NFL. Running game can't get going even tho defenses are selling out to stop the pass. That's tell #1 that the OL is holding the offense back. Take out QB rushing yards, and saints have the worst run game in the NFL. That leads to a ton of long 2nd and 3rd downs. The system is bad. Some of the plays called have nearly zero chance of working. WR's running the wrong routes, which is a coaching issue. There's a ton of problems, all adding up to an offense that struggles on most downs. Thursday night games are terrible for most offenses. That bc they get 1 day of rest from their last game, and only get 48 hours to game plan and practice before playing. Bc of that, offenses usually look sloppy on Thursdays, even vet teams. Carr will break down his own film, and keep improving. I have no doubt about that. The success of the offense as a whole tho depends on if Pete learns to stop calling low percentage plays on vital downs. Stop the fades, work in more slants, and the offense will eventually click.

No, no, no, it's all Carr. Nobody will hear that other stuff. People treat JT like some kind of guru because he talks above their head and was in the league. There's a reason he has a channel on here and is not coaching somewhere. Take the very 1st play. Yes, Thomas is clapping his hands and is absolutely open. Why did he throw to Hill instead? Maybe he liked Hill's chances against the linebacker in that situation. Hill breaks free and is a good read, too. Yet JT acts like there is something wrong with throwing that route. Even condescendingly calls Hill the "hybrid guy." Hpwwever, Carr didn't get rid of it in time. It took a split second too long. If he does complete it, it's a 1st down. JT does this in a lot of his videos. He "conveniently" overlooks or skims over obvious stuff that would refute his opinion quite often. @EducatedGuess Chase Daniels does a better, albeit brief, breakdown of this game. Carr isn't without fault, but he's still acclimating to the offense, and that 2nd half looked far better. Carr has ALWAYS been a slow starter innmew offenses, of which he's had plenty. Even Brady struggled in a new offense when he went to the Bucs. Too many instant gratification fans.
First example was 3 sec and the ball was going outside to hill. Thomas and place were decoys. Thomas could of been read 2 but not enough time and back was turned to him. Cmon y’all played ball before right? Saints need to bring in some new receivers to compete not give up like Olave.
I gotta wonder how a veteran QB such as himself can watch this tape and not learn from it. Because he's been like this for years. Missing open guys because he just takes the checkdown etc. How in the hell does he watch film of himself every week and not even make an attempt to change?
The blitz on that first play was being shown from the side carr adjusted too and Hill was busting open towards the sideline. Of course a dude with less than 250 meaningful passes thinks that wasnt right lol. Whats wrong with the Saints is redzone rushing. Period. We got the a dude who averages 3 YPC in that area on a career averaging under a yard and a half there this year. The leading rusher is Hill. The leading scorer is Tony Jones Jr.... Man aint even on the roster anymore! Blaming olave, or carr, or the pass blocking is easy. Its juvenile. Its down right ignorant. Why tf arent we running as efficiently down there anymore? Especially when your run block win rate is literally twice as good (by ranking) as your pass block win rate Someone show me a QB that can step into a DT bearing down on him and keep full power on a 30 yard throw. Seriously. Id like to see the highlight cause i been looking at one to backup some no name qbs claim Dude's telling him to throw to a dude who's got a CB and a Safety on him like in a zone defenders dont see the QB throwing and adjust accordingly lmfao. Man is 45 and STILL doesnt understand a basic zone defense. How'd he get thru college?

Carr has ALWAYS been a slow starter innmew offenses, of which he's had plenty. Even Brady struggled in a new offense when he went to the Bucs. Too many instant gratification fans.
@@dl9232 where is this video of Chase Daniels’ take?

First example was 3 sec and the ball was going outside to hill. Thomas and place were decoys. Thomas could of been read 2 but not enough time and back was turned to him. Cmon y’all played ball before right? Saints need to bring in some new receivers to compete not give up like Olave.
Infuriating to watch…🤬🤬😭😭
Jayden Daniels welcome to Nola
I gotta wonder how a veteran QB such as himself can watch this tape and not learn from it. Because he's been like this for years. Missing open guys because he just takes the checkdown etc. How in the hell does he watch film of himself every week and not even make an attempt to change?
CAN J T OSULLIVAN COME OUT OF RETIREMENT TO PLAY FOR US😂😂😂
It's not DC as much as how he is being coached to read the field.
Offensive line is still bad. Seeing ghosts!!!!!!
Those of you who like to talk shit about Drew Brees, who would trade quarterback intelligence for Arm strength now
Man let's get all of the losing coaches and players from the raiders...that will make the Saints a winning team 😅
CARR'S Scared!!!😰
Maybe,was he hurt?
Especially when your run block win rate is literally twice as good (by ranking) as your pass block win rate
Someone show me a QB that can step into a DT bearing down on him and keep full power on a 30 yard throw. Seriously. Id like to see the highlight cause i been looking at one to backup some no name qbs claim
Dude's telling him to throw to a dude who's got a CB and a Safety on him like in a zone defenders dont see the QB throwing and adjust accordingly lmfao. Man is 45 and STILL doesnt understand a basic zone defense. How'd he get thru college?
It takes time to reset to throw
redzone rushing will remain an issue as long as teams have no reason for concern about Derek Carr's consistent inability to make plays in the redzone. There's little reason to commit to anything else.
@@worldwide_basketball_fan yeah, that's why it was an issue last year too
@@ShrexyGuy i mean, andy dalton was there--not any better (just cheaper, which is important from an asset management perspective). They were great in the redzone of game 1 that year before jameis got injured though.
@@worldwide_basketball_fan before that was Sean not Pete. Wonder why they were good 🤔. And no, they weren't great. They had one possession down there where Hill was (again) the most effective player. Then Jameis ran hurry up offense and pulled off a comeback cause even 30 for 30 is a better reader of defenses and manager of offenses than Lil Petey
Congratulations James. I’ve been saying this stuff for 6 weeks. You can’t blame Pete for this poor quarterback play.
Instead of yelling how about grabbing the tablet to see what happened first 😒
I think car is playing scared for some reason.
I saw this videos couple days before, and even though it is about QB and naturally show his mistakes it also show some goods too. But more important, show mistakes on other places as well. Multiple layers as said more than once, for me the analysis show me some true reasons for some bad situations and end up giving me some hope for showing and emphasize also that our time as power to fight back. So for me is totally different from you showed here James, I'm not looking for a reason to blame DC, he is not the problem, he is part of it, so is Olave and so on. Not sure if it is disappointment or you are becoming a hater. Any thanks the video, good to know that more people are checking out those kind of materials as well.
Saints need to find some way to fake then back with the 🏀 for a big W I N !!?
I sure hope everyone on the team
is watching this with Carr unintelligent football playing butt...Jesus help!!!!
Let’s speed cause being rich cab get me. Out ….Snake …..
Damn🤦🏾♂️ this is bad. I tried to give Carr the benefit of the doubt. Embarrassing. 9 years in the league.
Car is horrible at looking at his options. Like it's more than 1 or 2 ppl on the field
Watch the whole video from JT. James just cherry picking the plays DC is criticized. Then he has the nerve to pretend that he was going to say what JT says… does it every video that he goes over someone else’s critique of the Saints. Sounds like a damn parrot. Give it time. It’s going to come together if wrs and qb can get on the same page. DC and Moreau been working together for years… watch how well they typically execute when the pass goes to Moreau. Patience you fools.
I've been a fan of JT's stuff for a while...he doesn't mince words...a no BS type of guy. Another interesting video of his is Trevor Lawrence's game against the Saints. This is how you draft and develop a young talent...the Saints organization can learn a lot from the Jags handling of Lawrence.
Trevor was regarded as a generational talent that the jags had busted as a rookie lol
@@ShrexyGuy He looks pretty good now doesn't he? He was "busted" because he had a bad team around him. He was a very good prospect - definitely no generational talent. LOL.
@@johnmule9419 you don't pay attention to the draft or don't remember the article cause it was a daily thing about him coming out cause his insane college career and physical attributes
@@ShrexyGuy Never said he wasn't talented...he is...I saw the guy play in college and was impressed...just never thought he was "generational"...
@@johnmule9419 ohhh you thought he wasn't. So the ESPN, bleacher report, NFL analysts and RUclipsrs who are paid to do this were all who said it. LMFAO
Draft Spencer Rattler
For all you new fans....if there is no change the Superdome will be empty 2025. We will have a medicore team by 2027 maybe right now we suck big time
O line!!!!!!
I wonder if Carolina would trade us Dalton for Carr straight up
Ain’t nobody gonna pick up Carrs current contract with the Saints.
We’re stuck brother.
Carr is looking like dodo water in this game.
Draft kj Jefferson from Arkansas🤙🏿
Super strong arm
Sabotage from within at its finest
We can’t trade Carr ain’t nobody dumb enough to pick up that contract, he’s gun shy , time to throw in Jamies ( you only live once ) Winston.
We haven’t tried the Winston/ Taysom combo yet . It’s Time.
They can restructure his contract and live with the dead cap money
@@ellsworthconstructionllc
150 million
100 million guaranteed.
We can cut him , eat the cap.
@@brucelee5576 and restructure his incentives where thats all he gets
Jamies would have made those throws with this pocket….. anybody but Carr would make that throw
Winston is trash. Just stop you Winston Fangirl Cult member!
And you wonder why Olave and all the WR are frustrated...damn
Maybe carr is high on pain meds 😩😂
is Carr a NFL MOLE?
Hey SAINTS!! Hire this guy as your OC
Some of the route combinations are crazy but these videos are slowly saving Pete his job which is all I wanted to see because majority of this is on Carr this dude is horrendous 😁🤭🤭🤭… Pete probably be looking poking at these videos with his wife like “see honey I told you, it’s not me it’s this guy”😭😭😭😂😂😂
JT was former Saints QB drafted and was backup for 3 yrs. Dude has good offensive mind knows what he is talking about. He played 13 years as QB for various coaches & multiple systems. I've been watching his channel for a while excellent job of breaking down offenses & QB's.
😂😂😂😂 yeah let's listen to the third stringer
