This video is part 02 of cutting up a white ash log on the Woodland Mills HM126 sawmill. My wife and I finish getting the cant to 10" X 10" X 10' 6" long. The next step is to start cutting off 1" thick boards to be used for window casing and trim plus some shelving, after it dries of course. There was some pitch building up on the bandsaw blade so you'll see in the video I keep increasing the water flow, which took care of the problem. I've been using windshield washer fluid and Dawn dish soap, mixing about (2) table spoons of Dawn dish soap to each gallon of windshield washer fluid. Every log we cut we're learning more and more.
