Ok, this video shows the notch which is on the hose nut. In your other video, I thought you were saying the notch was on the swivel connector. Thanks! This and your other Polaris videos have been really helpful.
My Polaris 360 doesn't stay on the bottom. The back end kind of floats. It also floats while not in use. Backup valve is fine as is the float. Any ideas. Its only 2 years old ! Im so frustrated!
Sounds like there is air getting into the suction line and effecting the return line. Any air in the system will make the 360 float since it gets the water from the existing system and not a separate booster pump. Check the pump lid o-ring and look for any water leaks around the pump.
Technically in most cases the Polaris runs better - gets better coverage of the pool if it is 6" from the furthest point of the pool. So take your Polaris and stretch it across the pool to see if you have extra hose or not. I believe you have a Polaris 280 if I remember correctly. Been awhile. Dino i have the same problem. My inlet valve is directly in the middle of my pool. Maybe that is why my polaris 360 just makes circles. How did you cut yours? Im wondering if my house is way to long then.
yea give a foot or two. Since it has to get to the furthest point of each side. The furthest point on the other side of the pool. The side without an Inlet.

I learn something new today! Thanks
Great job. Thank you for the information.
Thank you, very informative.
Sure!
No matter what I do everytime I tighten the nut it leaked. What is the best way to cut the hose so it doesn't leak?
I find cutting it at a sharper angle may help.

I have a 40 Ft. long Pool. The Inlet where the Polaris is attached to is at the middle 20 Ft mark. So does that mean my house should be 20 Feet?

When you say Furthest Point, do you mean the length of the pool or across the pool? Since my inlet & Polaris hose is installed at the 20' Mark.
