Thanks so much :D I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I screwed the 25mm MDF top directly onto the Kallaxes, leaving the tops off, to save 4cm in height, what with the Topper adding some again. Works perfectly. I posted some pictures on my Facebook page if you want to see how I made it.
@@BoardgameHeaven yes I do want to see for sure, ah that such a good idea to just leave the tops off the Kallax and “fuse” them all together with a larger topper! The Game Topper products are incredible, I love mine too!
Do you have any issues with the black coated rail? I am not sure about fingerprints and sweaty underarms... Do they feel comfy while playing? Would you choose the black again or go for one of the wooden alternatives?
The rail is coated in a thick black powder coating, and the surface is textured. It doesn't feel like a cold smooth metal beam. In a room at normal room temperature it feels fine. You won't see any fingerprints. I feel comfortable at the table.
This idea of using the Kallax as the base of the table is genius! Well done!
