And...this beauty is still alive, as of today, Nov, 4th, 2020. Long live the gorgeous, genuine, classy, Barbara Eden. ☀️❤☀️
Still here in August 2022, a gem of a lady whose performance as Jeannine still brings light and laughter.
One of the 3 blonde bombshells of the 60's.
I love Barbara Eden she was my role model growing up and my favorite actress even today. She has an ageless personality and beauty that stays young. I wish there were more actresses like her but you know the saying people like her come only once in a lifetime. There will never be an actress that will come close to anything like her. Prayers always for you Barbra and thank you
Wow, Barbara Eden is simply beautiful and very talented actress, I remember in my childhood, I used to watch "I dream of Jeannie" in the 80's.
Barbara's positive and loving spirit is part of my life. I was eight years old when the Jeannie show started, and I saw the show on a new color TV a friend of my mother had. I was hooked on her angelic beauty inside and out. Her positive attitude became part of my character forever. Thank you Barbara. I will always love you.
A lovely tribute to an extremely talented actress. We need more people like Barbara Eden who do what they do because it brings joy into the world. 🙏🏼
One of the most beautiful women to ever come out of Hollywood.
The most beautiful woman to ever come out of a bottle!!!
Possibly the most beautiful woman ever. Not only on the outside. An admirable person.
Happy 90th Birthday Barbara!! And many more in return!! Love you always..........
One night in Reno my dad, a hardworking but struggling provider, took my brother and I to Trader Joe’s for dinner. Barbara was there and apparently saw us sharing a sandwich. She sent a big flaming cake to our table. We still remember the delightful gift and attention.
Thank you for such a wonderful documentary on one of my favorite actresses, Barbara Eden. I love this lady, who has been a good role model, to me. When I saw her picture of her as a baby, it made me smile, she look like such a happy child. Never would have thought here family then went through The Depression, and fell on such hard times. Thanks to the vision of her mother who groomed her for singing, and acting that was her destiny. My heart is sad for her for the loss of her beautiful son, Matthew, but she did all she could, to prevent this, still God has sustained this woman to carry on. If there ever was a person who blossomed after her early school years of ridicule, this woman did, and blossomed into a full vibrant rose. She just seem like she is a genuinely happy person with a contagious laugh, that's natural, that makes others smile and laugh. I just saw a video where she's 86 and still looks great, so at least I can give my roses to her now. Thank you Mrs. Eden, for all the films you've given us, where you always 100%. You are one terrific lady.
I have a nice memory, although at the same time my parents separated. My father moved to Hollywood [1973] and i visited him. He lived in the same tall bldg. Barbara did and I , at a mere age of 12 got to meet her. I had grown up watching her in the 60's so for me as a pre teen it was very exciting. She is a very down to earth, sweet & beautiful lady.
Sure she is, you can tell by her interviews. Nothing phony about her.
I can say the same-she was sweet and down to earth back in the late 80's
She was the perfect actress for a perfect role for the times. The series has aged so well because of Eden but also Larry Hagman, Bill Daly and Hayden Rourke. A priceless cast for an immortal series.
Everything you say here is what we all feel, so very true, except for one thing.
You said, 'The series has aged so well".
Not to dismiss or belittle you or your statement, but, to say, aged well', would seem to imply a past tense, surely, not your intent.
Might your intent have been to say, 'The series is ageless'.
twinstu50, I teach English. The series is not ageless. I'm not sure if today's young would love it as much as we did, especially the black and white episodes. The series HAS aged so well. That is in the present tense. I loved "The Addams family," but it has NOT aged well.
.
Always got a kick out of Dr. Bellows befuddlement at Tony's behavior and Roger backing Tony up as best he could!.
I STILL... Dream of Genie. .. And always will.
What a CLASSY Lady.
You bet. I once cooked a great meal for this lucky lady.
Since so many of you enjoyed this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUQQ4..., I was wondering if you guys would enjoy more opening videos?
Classy lady!

Thank you!!
I came across this video by accident, and I feel my prayers have been answered!
I have had my own sad story and heartache too and watching this amazing, beautiful and strong lady today was like a wake-up call. You have to carry on and live your life which I've been finding difficult to do.
I have a lot of respect for Barbra Eden
very true...
She is so beautiful and a classy lady her and Elizabeth Montgomery.
Definitely both cut from the same cloth or era (so to speak),
And Eva Gabor from Green Acres was very beautiful
To my knowledge Liz had no plastic surgery.
I agree with your duet list but it's really trio: Mary T. Moore, an absolute beauty.
@@user-EmontE70 MTM also had her nose made smaller when young.
Man, I had a huge crush on Barbara Eden as a kid!
+StormLaker1975 You and every red-blooded male since the '60s.
Hell, all I have to hear is that damn theme song......it's like Pavlov ringing the bell for his dogs, haha.
+ StormLaker1975 she was a babe lol huba huba
+StormLaker1975 I still do.
+StormLaker1975 Yeah same here! In fact, as a naive young boy, I figured if I married her then not only would I be with that beautiful woman, but she could blink me up anything I wished! Barbara Eden is only a few months younger than my own mother but THAT would never have stopped me from dating her!
I must admit though, that as I got older and expanded my horizons (among all the other expansions, wink wink), I retained my desire for her but also found Raquel Welch, Leslie Parrish, Yvonne Craig, Yveitte Mimieux, Ann-Margret, Lee Remick, Stephanie Powers, Nichelle Nichols, Martha Vickers, Pat Priest, Dawn Wells, Tina Louise, Loni Anderson, Jan Smithers, Marcia Strassman, and of course, Carrie Fischer in the scenes with Jabba the Hut in "Return of the Jedi" ---but I'm sure I got my idea across. Then of course, there were a number of teachers I had back in junior high (make that, a number of teachers that I WISHED I'D HAD...)
Makes me feel sorry for the younger generation that never grew up with them. In fact, not too many years ago I was showing some pictures of these classy actresses to a younger guy who was very impressed. When his girlfriend walks by and asks what we were looking at on You Tube, he told her that I was turning him on to "the hot old ladies!"
The most beautiful, genuine, gorgeous, and classy actress, to ever hit Hollywood. It is a shame, her talents were not better used on the Silver Screen. Hollywood typecast her...and it doomed her career. Hollywood...can be brutal...even for someone with the talent of Barbara Huffman. I will always love her...and her work. She was amazing. Such a genuine soul.
So uplifting, fun and classy. Perfect Jeannie.
Happy birthday my dear Barbara! Welcome to 90 years
They just don’t get anymore beautiful than this lady I have loved her for many years Barry Warren
I never knew she not only lost her second child; she carried the child for two months as a stillborn.... She never let it show.... Always flashing that winning smile.... 🌹
This was so moving and touching found myself grabbing tissues. She’s such a beautiful woman. I’m so sorry about the sorrow with the children. She’s such a strong, remarkable and selfless person.
She's perfect. Like the man said..."The most beautiful woman in the history of television. IMHO."
Agreed.
Thank you, Barbara Eden, for each and every sharing of your self and talents, over the decades!! ! We truly do love you!
She has aged better than any actress I have ever seen.
Now little Robbie boy, don't be rude. Its impolite. How late does your mommy let you stay up anyway?
+Green Genes Lilli Palmer is a contender.
O.K. Basker, who is Lilli Palmer? Never heard of her.
Actress (1914-86) born Germany and had a long career in movies in the UK. Married to Rex Harrison for a time. Looked gorgeous even into her 70s. Google her & look at IMAGES.
Green Genes PS. I've been keen on Barbara since my teens also.
I used to deliver her groceries from Jurgensen's market in Beverly Hills back in the 70's. She was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet!
She's had that cute smile since she was a baby. Oh Barbara. My type of woman. Talented with a great body and great heart.
Accidently found myself at a polo match in Rancho Mirage about 1996. Inside the tent was Barbara Eden, along with Hot Lips Hoolihan (from Mash) If you think they're beautiful on screen, you should see them in person! Flawless.
They can afford the really good make up that doesn't melt away in an hr...
PK and the big dollar plastic surgery and Botox, fillers...
@@lizajane1878 Loretta Swit must've gotten a botched touchup procedure because the last time I saw her she was barely recognizable.
Loretta Swit.....are you serious.?.....not even in the same league as Barbara Eden.....not even close........
Loretta who?... SALLY KELLERMAN is the only "Hot Lips Hoolihan" I'll ever know. While she only played her in a 2 hour movie, she absolutely OWNED that role! Smokin'!!
I, have been in love with Barbara Eden since I, was 10 ,and I still in love with her,she is so beautiful!
I was raised in Cocoa Beach from the late 50's thru the 60's...I remember when I was a little kid asking my Mom and Dad if we could drive to the house where Jeannie lived...I was so disappointed when they explained the show wasn't real and wasn't even filmed in Cocoa Beach as was portrayed on TV.
OMG I would lose my shite.
"where is Jeannie mom?"
As long as you "dream of Jeannie" that's all that matters. ;)
But there IS a street named "I Dream of Jeannie" in Cocoa Beach, Florida!! I had my picture taken standing under the sign 2 years ago. 😊
That’s like the time I was 7 when Shirley Temple had a Storybook hour show on TV in the 1950s, and she was all grown up! I expected her to still be young. However, I thought as a grown lady in her late 20s, she was still pretty and was glad she still had her dimples.
I love Barbara Eden!! Such a fantastic actress!! Still alive to this day and will be turning 90 next August!!!! Still looks great even now :)
Strong and Beautiful Barbara, after all she is today January 8th, 2021 88 years young and still gorgeous 💕 God bless you Barbara 🙏
Barbara Eden, smart, beautiful and classy ! ❤❤
very very beautiful in side and outside. stunning! and ageless inside and outside.
Barbara is stunning in I Dream of Jeannie even to this day. What beauty, physical and inner. She believed in herself when others told her she would never be a Hollywood Star. Goes to show what the "people in power at the time really know" NOT MUCH actually. Watching these documentaries prove "Believe in yourself" because it YOU don't who else will? Barbara Eden is one STRONG woman who has had both Fame, Fortune along with heartache and heartbreak. She and Elizabeth Montgomery were/are my favorite woman from my childhood. I was born in 1959 so they were full grown women when I was a kid but I had a kid crush on both. Still to this day can't decide which one was prettier? Todays woman stars lack the inner beauty both of these gorgeous woman have!
Another beauty, Elizabeth Montgomery!
Barbara Eden = Incredible Beauty (Inside and Out) and Talent
She always reminded me of the true living Barbie doll (:
Was the greatest esp in i dream of Jeannie...no one can ever play that role like her...but must be paired with larry hagman ..another great actor... love their show always
I've always loved I Dream Of Jeanine! She's so gorgeous!
I saw right from looking at Barbara Eden's baby picture that her pretty smile she wore as an adult was a real smile. She looked very happy as a child, and even as an adult, like bubbly happy. She always seemed like a great person, and a great person to have as a friend. Thanks✌❤🙏🎵🌷🌲💃
The outside is a true reflection of who and what we really are inside..
She is without a doubt a magically beautiful soul. She has endured pain and. Struggles with faith and a beautiful smile in her life. She has so much to be proud of. .. We all love you Genie.. ❤✌😎
Barbara Eden is one of the best and respected woman in the world I watched classic reruns of I Dream Of Jeannie!!!! I loved her acting and singing too!!! I loved her life story!!!! I Loved her Jeannie costume!!!!! Thanks for posting this video!!!! I love it!!!!!!
I'll always love "Jeanie"!! Barbara is the definition of true beauty and class!!! If I had to compare her with another actress, I feel like she and Doris Day are cut from the same cloth! Truly two classy, extremely talented ladies who are both blessed with the inner and outer beauty of a stunning Greek goddess!!
Bless you Ms. Eden for sharing so much of your remarkable talent with so many adoring fans!!! We will always love you!
yes . For me is Jean y. Is a roll full of light and grace ! I have seen That tv program since I was a little Girl . And I Still do it by youtube !
the
Doe Eyes I've always thought she was more like Roseanne Barr than Doris Day.
When someone's that beautiful and has a heart of gold you feel sorry for the pain she has gone through.awm
That was a very good documentary- interesting, moving, and touching. Great to hear so much in it from Barbara herself. For me the 60's was a decade that holds special meaning and fond memories of childhood- it is defined in part by Jennie and Major Nelson. Thanks Barbara.
She's beyond beautiful ❤️..
I hope for the best for her.🙏
Just wow. Certainly a legend. Still enjoy watching her, timeless.
One of the most Beautiful Woman inside & out to Grace our TV Screen
Yes, she is the most beautiful girl ever!!! Loved watching her and always will...
Yes, she is absolutely breathtaking.
This is so random, but I have seen Barbara Eden twice, once at the chicken restaurant at Knotts Berry Farm and then again In Tahoe. The first time I was sitting there eating dinner and she and a few other folks just sat down at the table across from us. The second time I was not doing well at the craps table in Harris Casino and she just walked up and stood next to me. I'm not the type of person to get star struck, but I'm telling you, both times I could not function as a grown human being. She was intimidatingly beautiful, and when she spoke, it was with the voice of an angle, absolute beauty, inside and out.
The most beautiful woman in the history of television. IMHO.
she was married to a guy who worked at the SunTimes ! I worked there too ! At noon she would come in to meet her hubby ! I would run up to the top of the press's to see her ! She was more beautiful in person than on TV ! HARD TO BELIEVE , but true ! She was stunning !
dave lesney was the husband Micheal Ansara? i used to rush home from school every day to watch I dream of Jeannie. I was just in love with her. she is with no doubt, the most beautiful woman in the world and such a good person in real life too. Wanna hear something funny. I watched her show faithfully as kid, and when she came on a talk show in the 70s, my parents let me stay up to watch it cause I was so in love her. but when the talk show host introduced her real life husband, and Micheal Ansara came on the stage, I said "It's the blue Djinn!!!, Mommy, She's married to the Blue Djinn!!. LOL,
*****
Still is.
with the exception of Agnes Moorehead.
Happy Birthday 91st Birthday, Barbra Eden.
I first saw Barbara in the 1962 film, "Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm" when I was 21. Her image has remained indelible to me over the years though I didn't really follow her career much afterward. Such a gifted beauty, inside and out.
among my top five in hollywood back in my day. Loved this woman.
Amazing wonderful person! Beautiful in many ways.
This is an amazing documentary of Barbara Eden's life, including family and a productive and busy career. This video popped up and I was going to watch it for a few minutes; however, I could not stop until the entire 45 minutes and 44 seconds. I am glad that she is still with us.
Classy… And intoxicatingly beautiful.
Ageless.
I've been in love with this woman since the first time I saw her on TV as a kid in the '90s on Deja Vu (Canadian station) that played the show all the time. Truly an underrated gem.
Barbara Eden was always beautiful now and forever
So very special to all of us! Thank you! and all of those who surrounded you.
The lady just exudes class.
I've never liked an actress more that seeing Barbara in films and TV. Even the older black and white films. She always seems to make the character her own
What a class act! Such a beautiful and strong feminine energy. Hardworking, honest and multi-talented actress, wife, mother, sister and daughter.
Is the most beautiful Actress ever. Glad I grew up watching her and now I know more about her. Thanks for all the good TV memories.
Oh its so tragic about her son passing away. i never knew that. How she remained so young and vibrant throughout is just amazing.
"Not Hollywood pretty" means she wouldn't sleep with someone who considers themselves a Hollywood big shot. Too many careers crushed by such people who I now learn were also blind.
and many more made from it.
Unfortunately Elizabeth Montgomery did with her producer.
She is a joyful part of my childhood 💘
In the late 80's I drove a limo for a company in LA. We had a large celebrity clientele. Barbara was one of my clients. I have a chapter in my memoirs about driving her. One of the best celeb clients I had the pleasure of "knowing."
Age 81. Still gorgeous.
Too bad she never got another TV series like Larry Hagman.
@@m.e.d.7997 I guess you forgot about “The Good Life.” Barbara was far more talented than the alcoholic, misogynist Hagman.
In your job as an actor, I have the greatest respect for you. Throughout your career you carried yourself with aplomb and dignity. No major drug scandals, infidelities or tantrums in public places. We, baby boomers take our hats
off to you, for a job well done.
A classing, amazing and beautiful Lady.
Thank you for sharing this archive treasure of one of the world's greatest personality talents. I enjoyed from start to finish. Barbara Eden what an awesome energy for the world. She Barbara Eden was at the right place right time to help make life enjoyable. I'm an older viewer and got to enjoy Barbara's work in I Dream of Jeannie before I even started grade 1 school. This documentary filled me in on her work before and after her roll as Jeannie. I gladly learned she is such a beautiful person too who was able to stand with the toughest of them, for she did just that, she cut in to cheer us all up and make us laugh and in turn we feel her pain when she was in hurt at the sad lose of her son. She didn't let this stop her from who she is, and to me that an angel sent to put smiles and laughter into people's lives. I like her rolls she did before Jeannie and her work after, even if I haven't seen them all. She's a great person, like a gift to the world.
What a Beautiful Spirit, Voice, Genie!! 😘😎👍🎵
How can you not watch this and be fully in love with this human being. Just WOW!
She was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women ever to grace our t.v. screens . Even in her older years she is still astounding .
Barber was never stuck on herself. She has always been a true personality. I was a "I Dream of Genie" fan, and I still am.
I never new she could sing like that! If I ever did in went in one ear and out the other. She has a great voice!
Beautiful and a perfect voice, flawless combination of a strong woman with a equally strong will to be her best...
Barbra was the first of her kind! I was born in 1962,''I dream of Jeannie'' did it for me. A young black boy,in love.............I wanna be held now. The flashbacks are too deep!!!
When I was a young (24) photographer, I was sent to Lincolnshire (IL), where Barbara Eden was starring in Blythe Spirit in a hotel playhouse production. I was supposed to do some pictures of her on the set. They gave the the room number where I could talk with her publicist and set up the shoot. I knocked, and Barbara Eden opened the door. Forget the star power; there stood the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, two feet away from me!
I stood there, totally transfixed and paralyzed. (Apparently this was not an unusual occurrence, and) she immediately appraised my condition. "Just breathe," she said, in that calm, sweet, silky voice.
It's still a highlight of my life.
Those enchanting eyes. goodness me!
Lovely lady. I loved the show as a kid, and her!
Genie, Agent 99, Julie Newmar, Rachel, Hammer girls. What a fantastic era of hotness with talent.
Absolute Angel!!!! Theme song was my first drum solos 30 years ago
Barbara Eden is beautiful. ❤️
A strong mother and a willingness to work hard. It's odd how often success and strong parents go together.
Genetics gave her her beauty but the rest of it was all her.....
I had no idea she was such a gifted singer.
Truly a beautiful person.........
Most beautiful and best actress in the world .
I remember this when I was a child I adored it
This woman is an inspiration to all woman her look show her heart , Good 1 Barbara you left a memory to all of us
I was born in 57. grew up watching and loved this show. Funny thing is I was interested in space stuff. Ended up getting a BS in engineering, a MS in math. I was an Air Force Captain and did work in the space and missile business. Have not gotten my beautiful Genie yet, but I got a few years left.
She's in a top tier category all by her self.
She is just so beautiful and cheerful.
Love Barbara Eden, my neice looks like her , she doesn't know who she was but I am going to send her this bio of Mrs. Eden. A true ageless beauty.🤗💕💐😍😘
Your niece must be a stunner!
What an uplifting person...and with a voice. I love her positive attitude.
It's so sad about the death of her son. As a recovering alcoholic, I get addiction. I'm greatful I survived. I am 56 years old, and I remember watching the show. Have great day!
55 here, 16 years clean ... keep on going Frank ! Very sad indeed, I’ve lost many friends to both drug and alcohol od...
58/25th year .....good job guys!
I do still watch I Dream Of Jeannie T V Series and still enjoy them very much. Yes I did also watch the original
T V Series in B And W and in color.
I do think Barbara Eden could still rock the stage with her singing carer . She is a very iconic amazing and beautiful woman
She has a very nice voice.
An ageless beautiful human being from inside out!! And foremost a strong person who has inspired so many others across the world! A fan and an admirer from Pakistan!!
Long Live Barbara Eden!!! You are the Perfect woman. Body, mind and soul. i grew up watching you in the 60's and I hoped one day i would marry a girl like you, Beautiful, smart, funny and most of all selfless, I couldn't have asked for more, I'm truly blessed, it took two tries but I finally found her and in a few weeks we will be celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary, Thank you, Thank you Barbara Eden!
I see by the responses that a lot had a crush on this beautiful classy lady. Heck, I still do and I’m 76+ years old!
