I am a musician too who prefers to play at home, in private. However, I have been a church organist for many years, as well as playing in a band for a very long time. I can assure that I do things differently and sound differently in each case. Whilst the public out there got used to Tina shredding, doing covers, performing alone as it were, people must now get used to the idea of her playing in a band where she has to consider fellow musicians playing along with her. In time, hopefully, the majority out there will come to accept and make peace with it all.
Finally, for now, I feel I need to say it...that Tina is still and will remain the best until such time that someone come along IF EVER! Go Tina. I will forever salute you.
Nobody knew what her musical taste was at that time. That she covered these songs does not mean that it was her music. These were songs where you could learn to play an electric guitar and show it to many.

Couldn't agree more Lester. Love the feel and vibe of her bands song. Yes we ALL know she's capable of technical virtuosity but it doesn't mean that she wants to be defined by it. KUDOS to Tina for following her own north star. Like you I'm looking forward to ANYTHING she choses to post. Screw the haters!!! You can't fix Stupid!!

I'll admit, on my first listen I wasn't to sure about this song, but it's layered. You need to give it a few listens to take it in.
I am not a hater. I am a fan. How much longer do I have to wait to get wowed. If this song was that great, it would have blown up on RUclips. It hasn’t blown up. The numbers do not lie. I sent the video to my son who is a death metal bassist. He said - That’s what’s up but nothing stands out. I agreed. Mediocre at best.
Good for Tina. Great song writing chops as well as immaculate shred chops, most fail at mastering just one area.

Unpopular Opinion: Any of 1000 generic Boy Bands could do this. Entirely un-special, uninspired... What indeed has gone wrong?
@MountainMetal Nothing has gone wrong. She wrote some songs during her studies and recorded them with her band. Easy as that. Not your cup of tea? Well there are so many bands and songs to choose from or you could just go and do it yourself.
It's her creative output and as long as it's bringing her joy, she accomplished her mission. I don't think she's in it for the money. She ended her studies and could work in that field and probably does so.
I don't get that negativity. Some hated her because they felt she was not showing enough emotions while playing...
Good tight band, good song, nice to have her back. I'm looking forward to see her/their development.

But only glowing ones? Who wants to live in a world like that? If this strikes me not substantially different than what 1000 other generic, mass-market-formula boy bands could do, then I'm not alone, and why should she be held sheltered from any opinions not drooling with praise? That's really the world you want? Where nobody you like ever hears a counterpoint and no words ever get to sting even a little? That's how boys never become men and girls never become women, just as we're seeing today, right? Maybe she let the wrong producer package her, and maybe college wasn't entirely good for her, and given the typical spiritually destructive college environment here today, that might be part of the problem. In any case, I think her talent deserves better than this.

I remember what Herman Lee said about her playin “ trough fire and flame “ did he praised her? Not at all. She is not the American style artist whom with one hit introduced to the Rock and Roll hall of fame for the fifth time. And yes, there are negative comments about this only song to. All the experts have something to say. I’m not that kind, and not an expert music professor, but a listener. What I heard in this song, that they are tighter than any other band I ever heard in their first song. It’s not our job to decide which direction they going but we all can have our opinion cheesy or not it just our opinion. You right about criticism without it the world would go in a very wrong way. But it’s a limit how we criticize an artist because just one bad critic could break a person mentally. I was called everything but a honest critic because of my radical critic of some artist in the US. You right, we have to keep the balance by criticizing those who need to be criticized and the US is on my list is the first which I do. All those unintelligent candy pop artists whom lip singing on life concerts and think that nobody noticed. Music should have melody, lyrics and rythm sound. That’s it!

She could not possibly try to compete with her old videos. It is irrelevant If you or I like this. What counts is that she enjoys this. Show some respect and understanding not only for her musical skills but also for her growing up from her teenage self

There's only one guitarist that can do what Tina S does with her guitar in this song...and everyone has been listening to this dude's 'licks' for decades and that 'dude' is U2's Edge. This song is so layered, a sign of great production. I don't care what the haters say, Tina s is back with her band and, if this song is any indication, great music to come!
