Been watching these tutorials for a while. I'm no producer yet but I am a musician who has enjoyed many genres of EDM for 10+ years, and I just recently invested in FL studio. I'm excited to learn the daw and get to try the things I've heard about through this series in practice! Thank you Moonboy for the tips and tricks! 🐐
So glad I can help, excited for your musical journey!! can’t wait to hear your music 🎉
agree!
for dnb tutorials and stuff check stranjah
Been rockin DnB since the 90s. Glad the world is finally waking up to this great sound
i second this motion!
Me to
And i am not glad. 😢
Look what happened to hiphop when it becomes the mainstrem.
Disaster.
@@kubadojakuba no worries, when "dnb" cats dilute it, Real "DNB" cats come in and stand at guard! dnb is more than just a 2 minute tune-i cant believe that's a thing-, double drops (although i feel they have their place), etc! remember that DNB survived a neo-mainstream attempt during the 90's during Goldie's "Timeless" and Roni Size's "New Forms" both ground breaking work. You had cats like Marcus Intalex and Calibre holding the line as well as Dilinja Paving the way for us and Ed Rush and Optical pushing the boundaries! going mainstream, nah, DNB has got a solid underground base!
it was more fun when it was underground xD
@@ravendnb94 i def feel ya on that.
People just haven't caught on yet, but this tutorial is hands down one of the best out there. It's a blueprint, a reference and an inspiration. It's laid out so well and offers everyone from beginner to expert a foundation to produce amazing drum and bass music. Moonboy you have some great tutorials on your channel, but this one is simply incredible. I've referenced it about a dozen times. You are inspiring countless new producers. This should be at a million views by now.
Hi. May i know which music maker you using? Noobie here.
@@darkfane1456 there are different options and it just boils down to preferennce when it comes to daws
just download some demos and try them out
@@darkfane1456 Hi, you can try the Ableton DAW for free for 30 days. This might be a good starting point.
this guy is his own hype man. i need this kind of energy.
Great tutorial as always! Btw, for anyone wondering, you need voicing set to "note latch" to control volume with noise in Serum FX :) You can see he has it on in the bottom right.
Bruh thank you
@@xohsox4697 I LOVE U
I’m love drum n bass
Me too😃
12:16 those vocals were just like Skrillex's "A Street I Know".
Moonboy gonna be the rising star in DnB scene.
You’re so good man, your talent is crazy. You’ve been one of my main inspirations as electronic music goes
Yo the drop on this one is sick dude! Heat as always 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
we all gotta appreciate how hard moonboy works. dropping production suite right after production suite with gigabites of highest quality samples, tutorials and producer contents...im really impressed bro, keep going, we love you
agree he works really hard for this!
I really appreciate this! I do my very best to provide the best tools for producers to succeed in their musical journey. ❤
@@MOONBOY thank u so much for answering(:
You killed this one. I was never too into dnb but i think that's about to change! Your sample track sounds amazing.
I really appreciate you stating what the commands are (like CMD+G to make a group). I sure it could get repetitive and take more work to edit those in, but it really helps someone new to ableton like myself as I don’t know many of the work flow shortcuts.
Gotta say MOONBOY I’ve been watching everything you have put out since dubstep for dummies. Or even earlier. You have grown so much and come so far, this video is very professional and easy to follow. Older videos were more fun and memey but you really hitting your strides these days man!! Much love! Keep up the good work. You are one of my biggest inspirations man!! No joke. GOAT
Ive been trying to learn this. and your actually teaching it so simple instead of just talking and barley explaining
of all the producers i follow u r my favorite.. i love ur tutorials and i would watch more of them 1000%
just want to say thank you for explaining some of the workflow things you do in these videos. it really helps.
DnB is life baby!
This is one of the best tutorial vids I’ve seen on RUclips
helps so much! Thank You! I try to produce a dnb song for a while, and always got stucked. This is new good input, that motivates me again!
I need this song in my spotify playlist bro
dnb is one of the best edm genres ever! this video was a perfect tuorial! ❤
Its not edm, the creator's and connoisseurs will tell you this, our scene started as hardcore and jungle which was an evolution of the jamaican aound system culture and the early hip hop culture, thats why we have mcs and reloads and no edm genres do that, theres tracks that are just funk breakbeats and 808 basses and thats the same formula as early rap music(which isnt edm either)
its edm, cry more@@dj_adam_g_uk
@@dj_adam_g_uk you dont think DnB is "electronic dance music"?
@@arqelf9505 mate, is trap edm? Is rnb edm? They're all made on electronic equipment! People are trying to turn dnb into edm but its not classed as that in uk and uk is where dnb is from, are you from uk?
@@dj_adam_g_uk I see EDM more as a collective term for every electronic genre fitting into the rave scene. Trap can be EDM but I dont see RnB as EDM, more like HipHop or Soul. Im from Germany.
I love all your tutorials man thanks for these really
i'm excited for the full pack
I have been on the front lines of dnb since 97. I have made music the entire time since then. THINGS HAVE EVOLVED since FruityLoops 1.5 ,Sony acid ,Cubase , logic and reason( matched on purpose this was what top tier was dnb was made with back then and the dnb content for reason was second to none). FruityLoops eventually grew up to FL studio and a new player called ableton live rose from the ashes of the original acid dev team. Things are always evolving and don't let anyone tell you to stop. If it doesn't make the cut regroup and bang out another beat. I knew back then I wouod never have a chance to make it in dnb as 911 happened and they destroyed the rave scene shutting us down almost entirely. We've rebuilt since then and this generation knows nothing of the struggles we went through to keep this music alive. POTD was the shit stateside and Dave Minner and Damien Higgins are responsible for the scene stateside along with Darragh Guilfoyle being a huge influence on us as a whole. Legends never die .....we will rise again.
I love the way you teach. Simple and to the point. I feel like I’ve learned more from just this one video than hours of other professional teachers!
Awesome tutorial man! The finish track goes hard too!
this is actually a very solid guide
duuuude these tutorials r everything 2 me! keep going and never stop
I defo gotta cop this pack. The vocals and sounds are sick
🔥🔥🔥 This is a masterpiece, I’m glad for your success, keep surprising us with cool electronic music!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I would like to see some of your tracks in the new genre of hardwave, relax phonk, an example of artists skeler, barnacle boi, LXST CXNTURY, and your opinion on this direction, I’m honestly delighted with this direction 😜
What a great early chrismas present, thx MOONBOY.
I'm really happy to see DnB coming back
Thank you for the video! Really helpful! ❤❤

Siiiiiiickk!!!! I love it
You are insane!
love your humility and desire to share your knowledge MOONBOY, in a league of your own! musical knowledge should never be thought of as 'Weaponry"! i did miss the opt to acquire your eclipse production suite. 😪! 🙏 and much ❤!
So god tier working on my first D & b track wish me luck so far have only done 5 trance tracks haha!
Nicely done!
Will you do oldschool Jungle next?
Dope!
Yeah this is hella dope! Any chance you would release a full track based on the final result?
never in my life have I heard such a high quality track being produced for a tutorial, unpopular opinion but majority of the people who tend to teach the producer community are dogshit when it comes to writing good melodies and actually creating a high quality cohesive track, I respect their technical knowledge but Id never wanna learn from someone whose music I wouldn't listen to, but you changed it, and I will keep an eye out for all the stuff that you do, Respect.
Before dnb was created my older pal was touring American for his jungle label juice records..
this scene has been the most consistent over the past 34 years where others have come and gone in less than 1/3 of that time…
Man i love your tutorials even tough I’ll probably never make music :)
All the best broo
Modern day avicii producer. thank you for sharing your production tips
moonboy the production tutorial goat
As for someone that's been listening it going on 20yrs it's about damn time the US catches on. I was pist when Pasquale got rid of the Drum&Bass stage at all his events besides at edc back in 2013. But I'm glad it's becoming more popular and it's such a good time because it's just bangers left and right being produced right now. You either hate it or you're obsessed 💯. I just went to Apocalypse and the Drum&Bass stage was absolutely insane, it was amazing to feel that shit again on a crazy ass sound system 🔥. I actually seen deadmau5's video he post of his Drum&Bass set, it's obvious he's going to acclimate fast af and be on the forefront of the rise of Drum&Bass 🙌🏼. Tutorial was 🔥 btw
Awesome track! Drop this
I am dub veteran but I want to try something new. And since I always liked dnb and jungle this is good tip for the start. Thanks bro!
WTF this vibration at 12:56 its incredible
this is a banger
I love 🔥
Awesome😃👍❤️
Yooo!!! I'm lucky I got on your video. Thanks!
I'm trying to learn how to make dnb and this helped lots. Please can we get a video on mixing and mastering DnB
Another Banger 😎🚬
multiband compression squashes everything together? the clue is in the name... if anyone was actually wondering what multiband compression was, it separates the input to different frequency bands, then applies compression to those specific bands (e.g. L/M/H frequencies). So it does the exact opposite of squashing everything together (it separates the sound and applies different levels of compression that you set to the different freq bands). Also there are many many caveats with multi band compression, use sparingly!

I come to your channel when I get writers block, without you Moonboy I wouldn't make any crusty beats LMAO ^_^
Awesome video! Have you considered doing Melodic House, Progressive House, or Deep House Tutorials? That would be so cool to see.
🔥🔥🔥
GRACIAS!!!
Meat❤️🔥
😨
thats fkn insane
Nice work g

Yo moonboy, can u make a video about jump up synth design like woodlock, primate, netrek?
Love the vids 🙌
Shot MB. Educational yet fun !
Hey are the symbols on the side of your V-MODA's engraved or stick on?
I seem to have misplaced my "TRANCE" Would you perhaps teach me how to make my own 😅
hi @moonboy i sort of lost myself in the volume animation bit when you add serum to the group. Ableton says i can ad it to the group track. Any tip for this? thank you and great tutorial so far
