All they're doing is counting 1, 2, 3, 4 with their feet... It's probably actually easier for them to play it that way than if you asked them to play the same song without the drums. I'd be willing to bet money that it would be the exact opposite and it would be more difficult for them to play without the drums.🤷♂️

Ezmeralda Du Dortoka Yeah it probably does help. It’s not the same guy, but Shakey Graves also plays with foot percussion sometimes and he’s said in an interview that sometimes he finds it easier to play guitar and the foot percussion at the same time. I think he likened it to a story he’d heard about how karate experts yell to help throw harder strikes.

If you walk through a road and Cam Cole is there playing music you can’t do anything but stop and enjoying his vibrant music. I met him the first time in Camden few months ago in my trip and I’ll fly to London just to attend his concert in The Dublin Castle.
Completely agree. That's a great venue, I played there a bit but I'm not as talented as Cam, I don't mind that at all though.
