I have found one that i love, being a guy from the coast with its salty waves, drift wood, sea weed and wet granite. Oud Minérale by Tom Ford. It might have marine notes but to me it fits greatly at autumn. 🍂 It has a somber, dark side, a bit moody. Not the sea you bathe in enjoying an inflatable plastic ball before cocktails. More a windy ocean that you look out over, contemplating as the waves hit the cliffs. But if you are having cocktails in this it is probably dressed up.
Amazing analysis! You describe these so well. I am heading into London Friday and explore many stores like Harrods and other niche stores. I have Frank B Tobacco. It is soo good! I have some Roja Manhattan. It has some similarity but FB has a very nice soft plum inside, but subtle. Herod as a vanilla scent is heaven. I can add a spray of FB to Herod as duo. Playing with layering is nice at times.
Thanks for watching! I like layering also, especially with more affordable and simple patterns. Roja’s creations are mostly very intricate and complex, although sometimes I still dare to do that.
How come I didn't see this video was released until now? I must have skipped it unintentionally. Nr.1 i haven't heard of. But sounds nice. Millésime Impérial is one of the best smelling fragrances ever made, but I can't accept the performance vs price. D'Ombre leather is seriously under appreciated. Apex is a Autumn king. EDP or Parfum (i prefer EDP, but own Parfum). Nr.5 i haven't heard of either. As far as Tobacco fragrances go, nothing beats Zaharoff Signature Tabac. In the area of Tobacco Vanille, but better. Spicebomb Extreme is a fall/winter staple. Simply a good choice. Starlight, I haven't gotten any experience with, yet. I'm going to get a decant after this recommendation. Y Le Parfum is so good, I got the deo stick to go along with it back when it came out. But it got a little too sour on me, unfortunately. Habdan, I haven't had the opportunity to try. But it sounds great from the notes. Amber Aoud is spectacular, but overpriced. I have 5 Roja Parfums fragrances. So I'm a Roja fan. But for that price, I can get a lot of spectacular fragrances. Half this list in fact. My 5 recommendation list: (Side note, Nr.2, Nr.3, nr.4 and Nr.5 would all be Zaharoff, so I only mentioned 1, to be fair to the others. Only nr.1 can match and actually slightly edge out Zaharoff. Nr.1: Imaginary Authors, Memoirs Of A Trespasser. Unrivaled as a Autumn fragrance, and amazing for winter too. Nr.2: Zaharoff Signature Halfeti Black Rose. For a rainy fall day, this is refreshing and invigorating. I am a Huge, HUGE Zaharoff fan boy. And one of the fragrances that got me hooked was Halfeti Black Rose, along with Pour Homme. I even got the Halfeti Black Rose lotion (spectacular too) Nr.3: Xerjoff Decas. It's sweet mandarin and florals and some iris. Its an all year fragrance. It will help hold on to summer for all of fall. And the performance is solid. Nr.4: Carolina Herrera, Bad Boy edt. My favorite Designer of all time, and a fragrance i would Literally take a bath in, I'd it wasn't potentially detrimental to my health to bath in it... Nr.5: Roja Parfums, Apex EDP/Parfum. And i can tell you from my own personal experience, that he is The kindest, most humble, and good hearted man in this planet. I'd go as far as to say; Anyone who has a problem with George, i have a problem with". If the world had more Zaharoffs in it, there would be less suffering for everyone. He is too good for this world.
Aside from Aventus, Millesime Imperial is my fave Creed... and Armaf Milestone is even better, in terms of preserving the original DNA and exponentially increasing its performance!
I tried multiple Nishanes and have some. Argos and mind games are not in my collection yet, can’t recommend anything without trying it out for multiple days and on different skins
Autumn is the best time of year with fine fragrances to accompany it. Creed works for me anytime, especially Royal Oud when the weather gets cooler.
I love Royal Oud too. It’s classic 🫠
