His control over the strokes are insane. Like you can definitely tell when he drew that circle and arrow very decently at first. If I trained my hand to do the decent strokes, then I have one step in my journey to get at their level. Gotta love this channel, it shows alot of great people and how they do things.
@@novski3175 I surely miss though his oil paints, this past 2-3 years he's hangging out with kim drove him to the improve his draw by memory into God Tier level. Yes they are both insane!
I agree regarding drawing from memory by learning the references at their most fundamental, whether human, objects, animals, etc. because as much as I have a lot references, they became crutches to me. So if you've to understand the fundamentals of that subject, you can practice it, and eventually get to a point you can draw with just a memory, or rather your background knowledge of the subject.
Hello! Does anybody who's taken this small course have any reviews? I'm really interested, really admire Kopinski, but not sure if it's bang for buck! Any responses much appreciated! (Hope it's great!)
It's about his process of designing a face. I think the values his talking about matters in what the shape of the face would be. Its about like molding a clay you dont just draw a face, you try to figure it out by playing with the shapes like he said in the video so it does link in character design but not the stereotype design creatively but more of how to use shapes to design a face..
Karl Korpinski is my absolute role model, he made me change my major from architecture to fine arts, he is such an inspiration
How's it been ?
He made you homeless bro lmao
@@lucasss275 I work as a mural artist now! It's been really fun
@@seize2179is karl kopinski homeless?
Karl: Understand how a thing works so that you can draw it easier without reference
Kim Jung Gi: Ok
RIP Kim Jung Gi

Kim Jung Gi personal sketchbook is coming soon! Stay tuned :)
there's a lot of karl kopinski showing up in my recommended videos for some reason ...
Remember when Karl drew a bad sketch...never!
Funny thing is, he drew more bad sketches than me and you together^^ That's why he's so good now :D
This genius is also an avid cyclist.
That had zero to do with character design, but it was nice art and advice for beginers on lighting I guess.
This is a portion of a much longer lecture that is about character design.
Sorry for the confusion! The name of the lecture is Character Design with Karl Kopinski. Thank you for your comment :)
