      Missiles don't kill Godzilla. The oxygen destroyer does. Except this America's first Godzilla ish attempt. Then the second became one created by Legendary Toho & that Godzilla is still alive n kicking because it's Godzilla. This Godzilla is 1998 it's own Godzilla. Much more than Kong whom had movie planned by peter Jackson in 1996 except never got made. Everyone cared see Godzilla most than Kong. Here we are 30 & half quarter trillion yrs later Godzilla and Kong both share the screen. & they're both enemies and friends.

And 2, as weird as it is, for whatever reason, the way Felipe said goodbye and walked away man idk why but that kinda got to me too😢 a combo of how he came there with all his close buddies, lost ALL of them, and had to go back to France alone, the music in the scene and how he walked away like he did with his head down and the rain and the music man i was just a lil punk when i was a boy 😂😂😂 haha

    Unlike their Japanese counterpart, the 1998 Godzilla behaves in a very different manner; being an animalistic, elusive and evasive, yet clever creature in his first film appearance, and he kept most, or at the very least some of these traits later on. They mostly ate fish, making him a piscivore, which they would also pass onto their offspring.
    When being attacked, Godzilla would try to confuse his offenders and then attack them back, and he even faked his death when the two Ohio Class Nuclear-Powered Submarines shot two torpedoes at him.
    After Godzilla's offspring were killed when the Madison Square Garden was bombed by the military, he showed sadness (nudging one of their offspring with his snout in an attempt to "wake it") and then a great amount of anger towards the main characters, whom he may or may not have known were somewhat behind their deaths. As a result, he begins attacking more relentlessly and aggressively similar to his Japanese counterpart (though it ultimately led to his downfall).
    Godzilla also seemed to possess some form of higher thinking, as when three helicopters were chasing him, after eluding them, he began roaring and screeching to make them think he was hiding in the buildings in front of them, and after they exhausted all their ammo, he made sounds like he was defeated before smashing through the buildings behind them and destroying two of them with ease; after the third one eluded him, he made use of his camouflage to attack it from underneath.

    I grew up watching this movie. I did know about the older Godzilla movies but never watched them as a kid. I watched this one and it introduced Godzilla. I do like how Nick learns about Godzilla as an animal, not viewing him as an enemy like all of the military was. And I do honesty cry to Godzilla’s death because he was only doing what he was made to do like any other animal in the world but due to the experiments and the radiation that turned him into what he is, the enormous size and how many eggs he had along with all of the eggs his babies would have, it would destroy the world completely. And that led to Godzilla and all except one of his babies put down. It does make sense through the journey of the movie but it is still sad at the end of it. Thanks for uploading.

    This is my opinion about the characters of this movie, not the real-life actors themselves:
    The people didn't have to cheer Godzilla's death like they did. He suffered to the end, just because he was a different creature than humans. Only Nick, and possibly his three friends, weren't a-holes here (they are not seen taking pleasure in Godzilla's suffering and death), but all the other people in this scene were (regardless of age, those kids all laughed at Godzilla's painful death too). They laughed at and cheered a death, even if Godzilla was concidered a monster in their eyes, showing how utterly heartless they all were. The human characters in this movie, were the REAL monsters, not Godzilla himself. And yeah, I am fully aware that Godzilla's kind would've wiped out human kind completely. I can understand that the people wanted to live too, but if they can find pleasure in another creature's suffering and death, then they really need help. I feel sorry for Godzilla. He was just misunderstood, he didn't ask to be a mutated lizard, and he never attacked anyone until they attacked and threatened him first. And it was clearly the last straw when they murdered his young loved ones, it was then he got *really* angry, and decided to attack for real. He didn't deserve all that, and he certainly didn't deserve to die a slow and painful death like he did. At least he could be with his young loved ones after it was over, somewhere where there's lots of fish, and big, open grass areas to roam freely in, without narrow cities, and best of all, no judgemental humans. At least that's what I like to think. I like how there are real-life fans of Godzilla, though, who felt for him for being a misunderstood animal. This is the first Godzilla movie I have seen as a kid. I love this movie, but not this part.

      Couldn't agree more honestly, this was the second godzilla movie I saw as a kid and I had a genuine good time, when they actually killed off the big G, even until now, I did not get a sense of victory, the way they played the death scene off went from the main 3 sympathizing with the big G's death, to suddenly everyone celebrating, overall, I had a good time with the movie, and if I were to have any gripes with it, it would probably be this scene alone.

    I grew with this as my first Godzilla movie 🎉music in this movie is amazing & sure it’s nothing like the originals or the modern ones but they easily could have fixed it which the ending teased & they could have done the movie just like the Godzilla animated series did which was a continuation from this I would have been seated to see what their future would have been like in this movie & the monsters Godzilla would have battled

    A short video clip off tragedy "Godzilla" is unimaginative and reality based dramatic movie in Hollywood industry.
    Godzilla resembling a dinosaur in physical feature used to be found in early period of time on earth as one of the most endangered species.However, it has a negative role as monster at present century according to movie.

    Yeah so why does Philip want to remove some of the stuff off of the tape when animal was recording the stuff from on the camera 📷 and also how the heck did Philip get a hold of the tape in the first place

    • @anjelica948
      @anjelica948 9 месяцев назад +1

      It was subtle, but early on in the film, it’s implied that it was French nuclear testing in the Polynesian islands that caused Godzilla to appear in this universe. Thus, French secret service came in to try and fix it and cover it up. Which is why Philip said early on said “I am a patriot. I love my country. But we made terrible mistakes, and we’re here to clean it up.” And as far as stealing the tape, he’s a spy, that’s not a big stretch of the imagination. It probably would have taken under a minute in the triumphant chaos to eject the tape and walk off.

She’s any wife that wants nothing to happen to her husband (my wife is the same way). I could save the world from aliens and my wife would say “Have you lost yo damn mind?” while cheering at the same time.
