Earth Talk: The Role of Rewilding in Our Time

Rewilding is a new emerging movement playing a complementary role to regenerative agriculture and land stewardship. Balancing food production with Nature conservation is one of the greatest challenge of our time. A number of progressive environmental farmers are moving in the direction of rewilding and reforesting. On the other hand a number of people are asking if re-wilding is compatible with the need for food to feed the growing population of the world?
Ben Goldsmith is an environmentalist, philanthropist and entrepreneur. He has a 500 acres farm in Somerset, which he is successfully re-wildling. He is a co-founder of Environmental Funders Network.
Satish Kumar is the Founder of Schumacher College and Editor Emeritus of Resurgence and Ecologist magazine. He is the author of 10 books including Soil, Soul, Society; Elegant Simplicity and Radical Love.
To start the talk there will be a performance of an original song by local singer/songwriter Anna Anise.
