It is very rare in csgo scene that out of all teams, two teams are Super giants, everybody beforehand knows their finalists. Its like Godzilla vs Kong. And to watch them going neck to neck against each other in a BO5 grandfinals is something we all should acknowledge. You cannot ask for a better grandfinals than this. This final easily tops both of the recent majors and katowice. I have never seen a brawl between two teams so close and so intense, on top of the added pressure for Faze to make history being the first ever team to win three of the highest rated tournaments all in the same year. Seeing both teams play was truly exiting and I'm so glad I got to witness it all live. Great effort on Navi's part and especially on sdy for being the newcomer of Navi and performing at the level he did, but even more grats to Faze for making CSGO HISTORY!!!

I wait till people will understand that the MVP award is for the entire tournament, not only the Grand Final, Twistzz was way better than S1mple in the final obviously but S1mple was better throughout the entire tournament and the Rating gap between them was too big - S1mple 1.25, Twistzz 1.16. That's really the final we deserved , breath taking moments and butt clenching tension. You didn't know who would take it until the very end. I honestly can't understand how Twistzz managed to get those important kills , it's insane. Like that one 1v3 vs movistar , then on nuke that turret 180 degree instant transfer on elec (navi should have won that round 9 times of 10) , then those last rounds he turned into unhinged beast that no one could stop. I mean what can you do against that ? Navi played well but it wasn't enough , as a Navi fan I am dissapointed but I am happy to have witnessed such high level cs. GG
Exactly my dude. The sheer level of counter strike on display by the teams was a testament to the game itself. It felt like a classic already in the first two maps, who knew there were 3 more unhinged maps of cs to come? The mirage map was the only average map out of the five, in that it was an open and shut case. That ancient comeback from faze though. Crazy watching it live. They choked navi back after choking for 15 lost rounds. All the way back to 15-15. I remember looking at the scoreboard at 15-15 and thanking God for allowing me the pleasure of watching something so fantastic live.
I didn't care if they won or lost the map after that. The mental game was broken, navi had dominated faze for the first time one entire half, and they were dominated right back in the next one. The centerpiece of the entire 5 map series. Faze lost the map but they won the mental game then and there. It gave them the confidence needed for the next two maps. Faze deserved the trophy 10 out of 10 times.

This match really puts the "Grand" in Grand Final. Huge props for both teams as they played out of their minds in this match. Congrats to FaZe on winning the trophy and Navi being a worthy opponent going the distance in all 5 maps.

They bought even the fifth map down to a 14-14 before the final two steps to decide a victor were taken. Those two rounds were executed beautifully. Separated faze from navi, giving it just the right amount of edge to over take them.
Whats funny is, in both the major and cologne finals, it was decided on nuke after faze cornered navi into an eco. There's some meta levels of counter strike being played right there.

I feel lucky. This was the first LAN I personally attended. I was 10 years old when I first played the game, now I'm 32. Where did the world go? We started playing with 1.5 in small rooms at the end of the village. It was a great 3 days in Cologne, thank you again!

Here you could see s1mple uses mind games (as he usually does) by using the time as well as utilizing odd positions for Rain to at least peek on jungle. Unfortunately, Rain saw through S1mple's mind since he's played against him many times now, thats why he was two steps ahead

I love this Faze, this team never gives up and are all upstanding. Doesn’t matter what the score in the half is. They’ve repeatedly shown no matter how far they’re down, they’ll make you sweat.
This has to be the best final showdown in CS history. Such an epic battle, close calls and skill. Amazing. Congrats to both teams and of course to Twistzz for great individual performance.

in those last rounds of nuke,karrigan exposed navi's weakness in the 2 seconds of them being offguard while they didnt realize it untill twistz came from the sky and claps all of em,even read the player to his right,the game sense of faze throughout this is punishing and the hard truth is this===nomatter how good your strats are faze has the firepower to dismantle and dismantle you with ease and it is absolutely unmatched,NAVI playing it to absolute perfection except in the CT side of nuke i dont know what the hell happened,SDY was carrying navi throughout nuke and that whiff from s1mple in heaven is heartbreaking it was the activate button for faze to close it out and he also had the same miss on basically the same round in the major finals,it's like he peeked doubting he is gonna miss it for some reason,as a navi fan and an absolute navi supporter for years this is heartbreaking since i thought this is navi's era but untill the faze nightmare started to rise,this seals it,faze is unbeatable and they're gonna dominate the csgo scene like a scary unmatched beast but man does it hurt to say that when you're a navi fan omg, GGWP

Faze isn't unbeatable, we just saw it. If there's a team to beat Faze right now, it's definitely Navi, this match could have been a Navi victory aswell, it was insanely close. I would say that the teams are really at the same level, it really just depends on who's really performing. If s1mple+b1t+elec are performing vs a Twistzz+ropz+broky+rain it's really unclear who wins. Kind of sad that s1mple didn't play that well for the last 2 games, but the match was awesome !

Absolutely, the individual power was more in the 5 members of faze than in the 3 members of Navi. Perfecto and Sdy did their best but not enough for beating faze.

S1mple showing in that aftermatch interview he is still very toxic. Faze just shows they are enjoying themselves and they have awesome chemistry. They never seem to be rattled or tilted by anything and imo that is their biggest weapon.

This was actually battle between 2 teams and not individual personalities, that is why this game was one of the best we have ever seen in CSGO history.
Every single player performed. Bit, Perfecto and sdy from Navi were in fact exceptional just like twistzz, Rain and broky from Faze. Every player did his role as expected.

After the antwerp major, nobody talked about faze as the definitive no. 1. As of today, those doubts are laid to rest. Faze are the undisputed no. 1. What a season from the team. Been a faze follower since I started watching cs. Followed them all the way from the coldzera niko days, now to world no. 1s. They deserve it all, they gave it their very best, and what a rise for broky. 👏👏
He was the highest fragger in the finals, felt that his performance went under looked. He was always present, getting kills under the radar. Just a steady engine on top of which twistzz built his mvp performance on. 👏

I love watching both teams and I really feel the pain of Navi. On the flip side what a great finals and excellent play from Faze. They’re a very well constructed and gel’d team. The chemistry is all their. To think people were calling for Rains head only for him to come up big in numerous moments throughout Cologne.

Despite FaZe making so many mistakes they were still able to close out the tournament, which in that right I feel like truly makes them the undisputed best. Ofc I don’t want to say that as to discredit NaVi in any way as ofc they are still not only a phenomenal team, but also probably the best team at exploiting mistakes and taking advantage of them. With that being said, sdy has really been a great edition and even though people might be tired of seeing FaZe v NaVi, I want to see at least one more grand final rematch of them with hopefully FaZe not choking so many rounds and with sdy being well adjusted to the team at that point.

such an amaizing grand final , the athmosphere in the arena was so energetic and filled with exitement that you just couldn't resist and get more and more hyped with each round , each map, each kill. amaizing performance from both teams and just some top tier counter-strike!
it doesn't matter faze won or not. they teach s1mple and his fans a lesson of lifetime. HUGE respect for b1t and Perfecto ,they tried their absolute best.

This was a great game of Counter Strike, well played to everyone from Navi and Faze
rain wasn't the star of the show but hes sure a extremely consistent player keeping faze in it when hes needed
He performed well in every map, he's the entry and he got the MVP of Major. One of the best riflers rn and i would argue he's better than players like NiKo, Electronic, Ax1le etc given the roles he's playing
faze should give twistzz the lurk/clutch position and put ropz somewhere else honestly. Maybe make ropz the entry or 2nd man in or something because twistzz is the guy with the real clutch potential on faze.
