Nobody is prepared for a bike doing 130mph. So smart bikers obey the speed limit and maintain a predictable driving pattern. In Germany people are used to 100mph+ traffic. Therefore fast racing motorcycles naturally are legal and expected. I had a biker who was way behind me and to the right (3 car lengths to be exact.) I put my blinker on and begin to move over to the middle lane. I watched his front end offload the suspension from him yanking his throttle to stop me from moving over. I held my ground and he accused me of not checking my mirrors at the next redlight. I told him I saw him clear as day and I watched accelerate. I said to his face that if he tries to do that again that my car is bigger and I won’t give up my right of way. Do the speed limit and you avoid a huge chunk of these problems.
The guy at 0:40 seconds? Yeah, that was 100% avoidable. He should not have accelerated after that car passed him. Both of their faults IMO. But when you ride like a jackass, this is what happens. Hate when people post videos like this thinking they OWN the road and nothing is their fault.

Age 18, already reasonably experienced rider, I needed a new ride and saw a guy locally was selling (KTM 550, single cylinder torque beast, on/off road capable). I noticed virtually no mileage, asked what happened. He said he didn't know, last thing he remembered was putting it in first gear in a parking lot, then waking up, the bike twenty feet away from him. Didn't even put a helmet on. I cut his price in half and he accepted, looked relieved to get rid of it. I sold it two years later for $250 more than I bought it (at that price and condition and mileage, it was priced to sell fast and it did). Having money to buy a motorcycle does not instantly result in you having the skills to ride a motorcycle. I see people dragging their feet, overcorrecting, tailgating, not trusting their bike's center of gravity, lane splitting in ways that are insane (there is a safe way to do it, in states where it is legal, like mine), all the time.
Bikers: Dont care how fast your bike goes, dont speed. Drivers: Pay attention and merge one lane at a time or tear up your license. Just solved 80% of these videos

Well, 90% of the mistakes are the bikers own fault. Situational awareness and anticipation. Mainly the lack of those two. Drive and stay away from trouble which you could see from miles away. Don't ride like you own the road. People on the road are to stupid for that. Drive like the dude who get cut off two times in the UK. Anticipate, wonder about those stupid drivers and stay safe yourself and shrug and drive off safely.
Yeah. The sarcasm at himself is hilarious. Every rider forgets or takes for granted the most basic fundamentals from time to time. Usually just leads to a “what was I thinking” moment and sometimes ends like his did but it always reminds us why it’s important. Eating a guardrail is never good. He is lucky to walk away.

Well, 90% of the mistakes are the bikers own fault. Situational awareness and anticipation. Mainly the lack of those two. Drive and stay away from trouble which you could see from miles away. Don't ride like you own the road. People on the road are to stupid for that. Drive like the dude who get cut off two times in the UK. Anticipate, wonder about those stupid drivers and stay safe yourself and shrug and drive off safely.

Yeah. The sarcasm at himself is hilarious. Every rider forgets or takes for granted the most basic fundamentals from time to time. Usually just leads to a “what was I thinking” moment and sometimes ends like his did but it always reminds us why it’s important. Eating a guardrail is never good. He is lucky to walk away.
