After spilling gallons of blood and fighting tirelessly, after only two albums with Napalm Powerwolf shot straight to the pole position of the official German album charts (and another album made it into the top three!). Powerwolf entered Fascination Street Studios in Örebrö, Sweden starting in January 2018 to work on their seventh manifesto together with renowned producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth). The result is brimming with the Germans` trademark sound, and yet the band have recorded their boldest and most adventurous album to date! ‘Where the wild wolves have gone‘ even marks the first ballad in Powerwolf history - whereas ‘Nightside of Siberia‘ does the exact opposite and turns out to be one of the heaviest tunes the fivepiece have ever written. ‘Incense And Iron‘ simply MUST be part of every future setlist with its folky nature and anthemic catchiness; and epic single ‘Fire & Forgive‘ brilliantly melts infectious melodies into timeless, heavy shredding.

For some reason power metal with Catholic themed music goes well, I really love this!
As someone who goes to Church, I've always been partial to organs and the like, though wanting a bit more "oomph", Powerwolf sees that "oomph", and then does a Spinal Tap up to 11.

There is an interview done to the band (althought its in italian), they ask if all their songs are of catholic or satanistic leaning, and they answer that some are clearly catholic and others are satanic (while there is a third type of music that exposes romanian tradition) this is because the band itself is made of many elements, like attila that says he is a fervent catholic, and the organist that is just an atheist
Listen to old Catholic Chants, it may give you a bit of a doom metal feel while the lyrics sung in Latin are hopeful, try Pacem Domine as well.

Holy fuck, yes. This song is... just yes. Still missing the other band members in the video but Attila performing an exorcism makes up for that.
It was impossible for several band members to take part in the shooting for unforeseen private reasons we don't want to discuss in public.
This is why we decided on short term to adapt scripts of the mentioned clips to more storybased ones than performance based ones - a change which we by the way also learned to enjoy once being forced to.
However, the absence of the rest of the band does not mean any change in how we consider ourselves as the pack of five we are, nor does it display any change in our concept or priority.
As simple as it is - sometimes life puts obstacles in the way, and even wolves have to deal and arrange with that ;-)
Be sure all of the wolves will perform and celebrate the mass in future clips!

Master Of Fatality they are the father of opera power metal. And had very guitar centered songs...they were really big in the early 90s and late 80s but then criss died and Jon gave up the vocals...anyhow their music is marvelous.

I really like this album. It's one of my favorite groups.
I had never heard of you guys until about 2 years ago when I ran across Sanctified with Dynamite here on RUclips and I gave it a listen. From then to now I own damn near all your albums and consider you one of my favorite bands. The new shit is fucking insanely awesome man. Cant wait to own the new album.
