  • Hey guys, in this video I will be trying out the Saran Wrap technique or the silk wrap technique. Its supposed to make your hair more silky and smooth and helps to give he hair my movement. I did this technique the day after I did my silk press, so I will be trying out this technique right after when I record my next curly to straight routine. I was happy with my new curly to straight routine, but my ends were feeling a lil dry and a lil stiff, so I thought I'd give this cling film wrap a try.
    Have you tried the Saran Wrap technique before? What do you think of the results? I hope you enjoyed watching and if you're new here, subscribe to my channel for more natural hair tutorials, reviews and routines. Thanks for watching!

    I think it should have been done on freshly washed hair and that you should have twisted the cap instead of peeling it off. Have u done anymore videos trying it out?
    My hair is very even cut like yours. I've been debating on getting layers for a few years now to give my hair more body. I want to try a silk wrap for my birthday. Watching your video is definitely making me lean towards getting layers.

      Yeah i think so too. I did my hair the night before and didn’t want to wake the baby with the noise. Yeah i do it in both of my curly to straight routines after this video. I have a straight hair playlist where you can find em. It defo makes a difference. 😅 the twisting is my favourite part when i watch other people do it as well, i only remembered i was meant to twist after i took it off lol, much easier 😆
      Yeah i used to do shorter layers in my hair but found it was harder to maintain cos I cut my hair myself. So now i do long layers and still like the way it looks with my straight and curly hair. I defo know i don’t like a blunt cut on my hair tho

    This is an old school technique from the sisters in the USA.

    Definitely should be on freshly washed hair and this is a great reminder to not wear lip gloss when working on hair 😂 it sticks everytime.

      I was thinking the same thing. My hair would be bouncing off my scalp with a fresh wash and condition.

    I like it good job Sis. When I do straighten my I use the fenugreek pro 3000 that's what some stylist use here in California USA. Your hair still looks good to me Sis.

    Can someone explain to me the purpose of this? Does it make your hair soft? Is it ok to use on natural/real hair? Is it ok to use for people with curly hair??

    Your hair is too oily to see a difference. Try it on clean hair with a bit of heat protection spray.

    • @SarahNaturally1111
      @SarahNaturally1111  2 года назад +4

      Yeah i was meant to do it the night before when i straightened it, but didn’t want to wake the baby. I do it in my other curly to straight routines and defo see and feel the difference.
      I don’t do it with heat protectant tho, the one i use is water based and would revert my hair, so i just do it straight after I’ve finished straightening. I think all the heat protectant that’s in the hair from straightening should still protect it tho.

      Lol the only thing that confused me was the “try it on clean hair”, because my hair was clean 🙂😅 My hair doesn’t get oily when it’s dirty, it’s actually the opposite 🥴
      Thank you ☺️ I’m glad you enjoyed it ❤️

      The sheen oil i was using at the time was a lil heavy but yes i do like to use sheen spray on it or else it would frizz up pretty quickly.

      @@SarahNaturally1111 do you all have bio oil or chi silk infusion? It's a much lighter oil that still keeps it from frizzing up I use it in Florida summers where it's quite humid and always rainy
