Been there done that. I was the first in the DFW area to have the leak. BMW had my dealer send in my old parts. The water/oil pump was in SC. No biggie… The one time use bolts… Germany and were nowhere to be found. I’ll double check but all in all I think it was down for 3 weeks. From talking to them last week they’ve now had 7 more after mine back in July. It might be a build date/parts manufacturer issue. I have 1500-2000 miles in on the fix and trouble free.
Same thing with my 23 with 2151 miles. They told me its a characteristic of the motorcycle and as long as its not creating puddles its just a "characteristic" lol
Ya I legit have the same exact issue with my 2023 s1000rr took it back they said exactly what u said the water pump still not exactly sure when I’ll have the bike again but ya I was almost at 4k miles when mine started the few drips of coolant
Similar situation bro, 22’ RSV4. was roll racing and redlined 6th too long i guess and my motor went crazy. Sounded like one of the pistons was firing erratically in neutral and smoke coming from the exhaust. Dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow to see what the problem is, and with Aprilia they ALWAYS have to order parts from Italy smh
I got mine in march and I’ve got 6200 miles on mine alr. The only problem Ive ever had was the shift cam switch went bad. They replaced it and I’ve had 0 problems with it. Maybe they just built mine better😂. I’m just messing
I like the Greensboro service guys, but I wouldn't buy a damn thing there. I had to go to Louisville Kentucky to get a better trade in value on my '18 S1KRR. 2k difference. My bike was on the production line in March of 23, I hope somehow I dodged that waterpump bullet.
if this type of thing happens, assuming its under warranty, shouldn't they tow it for you? my closest bmw motorcycle dealer is only about 11 miles away, though, so maybe its different since youre much further.
They make a kick a** product but I don't know what's going on w them. Awhile back they bought my friends 20 M package S1KRR back. But his 13 HP4 was SOLID. So I don't know if BMW really= brake my wallet???
Pity about your bike. Any thoughts I had of upgrading my 2021 S1000RR m package have been put on hold over the issues with the latest model.
No point really. Aside from the head it’s the same bike.

Yeah seriously 😒
@N31LE yeah mine will just dribble 3 or so spots here n there but I'm sure most just gets burned off from the oil pan and then riding it'll blow away.

Link to your ramp? It looks very efficient
I think i got it from harbor freight years ago
Same bike out of Fayetteville Brotha! Still in the break in
My bikes been doing the same thing. I have been adding coolant every so often. Dude that sucks.
Better to fix it , spraying hot coolant on you wouldn't fun.

When it is fixed can you drop some details in the follow up vid if poss. I hope the newly built bikes dont suffer...
Of course!

They should, yes. I’m not very trusting when it comes to things like that. Atleast if an “accident” happens, i only have myself to blame.
How many miles?
About 1800 i forget
