Ohhhhh I remember when I learned that song!! One of the first!! And I recorded it for my girlfriend's birthday and put it on Instagram to surprise her in the morning, I was so happy ❤️❤️ It's truly maybe the most important song to learn

I am super new to the ukulele and my friend's birthday party was today and this video was a life saver! I learned it in a few hours and played it for her at her party. This video is super easy to follow along to and I'm definitely using the rest of the 30 day uke challenge to continue learning!

that little 'playing as a band' part was so fun. i messed up a few parts but still managed to get back and it was really happy feeling I guess
I liked the part in the end when you played the strumming and we had to play the fingerpicking. And I would love to have it the other way round as well.

Playing the melody while you played the chords sounded wonderful and made me feel like I had advanced. Usually the one who knows what they are doing is playing the melody while the newby plays chords. You made me feel like I was making progress!! Thanks, Bernadette!

I have been practicing this while singing the notes instead of the words. It is helping me to learn the note locations on the fret board a lot! So I sing C C D C and so on. One recommendation is to edit your 30 day challenge print out to identify the flat as well as the time signature and fermata. Thanks for the easy lesson after the really hard previous one! This course is fantastic! Thank you for it.

My sister’s birthday is next week so I can practise this for my sister! I really liked that I could play along with you while you were strumming. It sounded very nice! My weeks are still chaotic but I am trying to keep up with you. I will not put too much pressure on myself and record everything I have learned. I like to just focus on the process itself. Maybe I will be recording next week to see how well it is going.

I just watched this one because (not to brag. Ok, maybe to brag a little), I figured this out completely on my own just messing around on the fretboard, before I even started doing this series. I was just ONE note off, which my friend helpfully pointed out. I was so proud of myself!

Great video, Bernadette! You striking at the end while we practised picking worked fantastic. One comment:. You changed your count in. You always count in 1-2-ready-go, but in this video you did 1-2-3-ready-go. That threw me off a bit.

I loved playing together as a band! At first it was really hard and I didn’t breathe at all, trying to hit the right notes. 😂 But after a few repetitions I can do it! Maybe after some more practice I’ll be able to not only play the right notes but also get a nice sound and maintain a consistent volume ☺️

Crushing this videos, so good finally learning, the whole pivot your hand thing and rest on the index from F to G. thanks. The follow along while you strum is not working out although I can follow along with the fingerstyle method. I lived in Oki for a while, is Salsatinas still up and running? the salsa there has flavor

I think Salsatinas is still up!! Haha! So funny you lived in Oki, most people have never even thought of visiting that tiny island. It's changing A LOT. Lots of tourist traffic now that the airport has pretty much doubled in size!

Just want to say THANK YOU and that I think the 30 day challenge format is great. For me its more like 30 week challenge but that's just me. Also like that you mention details in the printable resource like the 3/4 time in the signature and the fermata. It would be good to be able to pick up any music and know how to tell what notes and chords to play even if its not written for uke.
