I usually make chocolate (carob) dog biscuits as a Christmas pressie for a friend's dog, but I'm going to try this recipe this year. I always only make homemade Christmas presents, so new ideas are always welcome. We stopped giving gifts for Christmas in my family a number of years ago, which makes it much less stressful, but my homemade gifts don't seem to count because I didn't go out and buy it; go figure🤷♀️😂. Hand-made gifts seem to be appreciated more than bought gifts sometimes, and I love to make them so win-win👍.

Good morning Christina, you are looking so good! This was such a lovely video. Loved it all. Home made gifts are always so welcome, at the Festive season and throughout the year. | did the same packaging as yourself, just cellophane packets, the goods inside help to finish off the gift and then the strings and tags. My that Cricket machine does a beautiful job re tags and cards. It takes quite a bit of time doing the cards (any card) by hand, the machine cards are lovely, there is still the hand made thought that comes with that. We have no more a postal service left, there is a private group but quite pricey, so if you wish to do Christmas cards either do them by hand it is the only way your friends/family will get them. Love the view of the 'bay' area, so peaceful and lovely, I bet you are pleased with your move. We do not have dogs or any animals anymore, as we are seniors, we decided it's not fair taking animals and should something happen then they will have to go to a new home or be put down, remember, not all are loving towards their animals!! I also like to give plants from the garden, especially succulents that I can take a cutting from and plant in a beautiful container, everything is so appreciated provided it is made with sincerity and love. Hmm, I would love to be the receiver of one of those beautiful raspberry pots, it looks like a jar filled with nature's jewels. The soaps are a great gift idea and it will remind the person of you when they wash their hands, especially making soap for a gardener. Enjoy. Was this a freezer jam or a boiling water processed jam? I like Certo jams that are processed in boiling water. I find the freezer style is too grainy as the sugar doesn’t dissolve fully. TY

Yes, I don't understand why she wouldn't just process the jars? I wouldn't even eat a jar of jam with that much headspace AND not properly sealed. It's going to spoil without constant refrigeration. The recipient will open it up and there will be mold on top. Canning would solve the problem.

Was this a freezer jam or a boiling water processed jam? I like Certo jams that are processed in boiling water. I find the freezer style is too grainy as the sugar doesn’t dissolve fully. TY

Just a reminder, the jam has limited shelf life as it's not canned. Keeping it refrigerated is wise.
Yes, I don't understand why she wouldn't just process the jars? I wouldn't even eat a jar of jam with that much headspace AND not properly sealed. It's going to spoil without constant refrigeration. The recipient will open it up and there will be mold on top. Canning would solve the problem.
