I clicked this because I recognized the R Plus Seven cover art and it hypnotised me, and boy, these were the longest, most uncomfortable yet beautiful 9 minutes of my life.
3:25 oneohtrix point never reference (I'm surprised to know that the cover of r plus Seven has been around for 42 years and is still too enigmatic hahaha)
It’s just amazing how the first rooms are completely empty then he starts getting objects and windows in there. Maybe he’s seeing other people as objects and windows as a progressing perspective to the world. The next rooms his consciousness getting higher since he can see some faces, emotions, and views. The ending is just mind blowing. He’s disappointment of getting to his higher consciousness after all of that and still being seen as a same monster due to his looks
Truly an amazing short film. The monster walks on empy rooms without meaning, nothing come to mind when he is walking across the same room over and over, but people star to appear as simple shapes first, window are added, shadows and light enters the room. The monster slowly percieve all this things, and finally he gets the full picture, he knows what he was looking for all this time, but even when he was ignorant about the world, the world was watching him walk. They were watching a monster who didn't knew was a monster.
Let’s all show up to the concert with matching Ye masks. Once we all go in, let’s yell “INCOMMINGGG” 😂. Kanye will look at us point and say “Those boys know good music”. We will look back and say “Ayeee”. Once the show starts one us needs to walk up and say “Sorry Kanye, imma let you finish but Yandhi is the greatest unreleased album of all time!” Kanye will smile and say “I love those WSE boys” while he turns on Future Sounds, Alien, BWIS!!! WestMomentEver😂😂😂
For the Kanye fans, this film shows the process and result of being consumed by your work, and being misunderstood by society. Frank N. Stein is a genius scientist in the way that Kanye is a genius artist. They both work diligently to craft the best thing that they can, but in the end most people will be afraid of not only the things that they create, but of the creators themselves. Ultimately, both Frank N. Stein and Kanye become the "Monsters" that they create and society rejects them.
@@jakubhuslar1298 he’s straight forwardness, his attitude, the way he carries himself he’s unapologetic himself & people don’t like that. He says what he wants, does what he wants regardless of what people think as long as it makes him happy & some people don’t resonate with that! He’s loved by many but always hated by many too
3:25 This is where Daniel Lopatin (Aka Oneohtrix Point Never) got his album art for R Plus Seven. It's a very good and experimental album with elements of ambient and IDM music. Definitely go check it out!
Could it be at the end a telling story about relationships and how we “ruin” the image a lover once had of us (through certain behaviours, for example) and the relationship is never the same? Feels like the Bride of Frank N. Stein is just repulsed at him by the end and his face is very telling of his disappointment and sadness. Very interesting.
I disagree, you may be trying to add a story to this artwork based on Kanyes current situation and that’s what usually get you to wrong interpretation.
@@Zefir353 BTW, no one's interpretation is wrong when it comes to art. All theories are valid because it is what emotion you feel from watching/looking that lends to your own interpretation. We all have unique experiences that also imprint on our interpretation of things.
That's an interesting observation. I always saw it as being Frankenstein's monster developing a sense of being in his world, ultimately leading to his apprehension.
He surrounds himself with very interesting and creative people. I think that is one reason. He also has always been someone “out of this world”, not the status quo type of person. So I can totally see how he knows about this and has it influencing his own art. Oh I love Kanye.

Its mind blowing how seamlessly it transitions between animation styles with no use of interpolation. No wonder Daniel picked this to use for R+7.
Indeed!
Just got mindblowned by this comment linking "Oneohtrix Point Never - R Plus Seven" to this particular video I disliked and was about to quit

Absolute masterpiece. I feel like it catches the horrific zeitgeist of modern era and Lopatin felt it too.
