I love to watch this girl skate, she is so good, so fast, and skates with an attitude, and a conviction I don't see in alot of the other skaters. She always smiles regardless of mistakes, etc. In my opinion she is always totally under scored just like everyone else on here has pointed out. Keep it up Kaori, you'll get the scores you deserve soon, lets hope anyway? Oh, and I love your black costume, and I think your gorgeous...
Sakamoto deserved bronze medal instead of Bell !! Her pcs so underscored.. Look at the speed, deep edge use, powerful skating skill and ice coverage!! So shame judge
There is not a special things in her skating. Everybody got what they deserved. Okey speed is good we see but thats not speed skating. Thats figure skating

You are correct. The Japanese are very known for their type of skating technique, which is deep and springy edges and stroking, which Sakamoto does. However, it's not just her quality but her artistry. She is aiming to be a woman on ice and an artist. Her choices of music and program are not typical or cliché, and this program is an artistic risk. It's challenging music and theme to skate to. Also they shouldn't have allowed vocals in amateur programs in the first place, but even if they allow vocals and continue with it, bonus points should be given to skaters who don't use vocals or weird sound effects added.

Ok - found this performance a little late... but wow, what a great skate! Speed, flow, attack, edge work. The choreography reminds me of Wakaba Higuchi's "Skyfall" program - which was amazing - well done (I wonder if she is training a 3A she has the speed and attack to try one) - and yes, underscored!!!
She was phenomenal and I love her as a skater (and this FS!) but Mariah was great as well and at her absolute best that weekend and they underscored her as well to allow Alina to be second and not third or fourth. It was more about Alina I think in terms of fairness of judging.
This prog sits on her like a glove! An incredible sight! You just watch it over and over again. It's a shame for the current season, changing the choreographer is not the best solution. Why leave Benoit Richaud? His programs are individual, and they are beautiful for everyone to whom he put them.

That does look a bit underrotated, it could have been given the benefit of doubt, but still that was not an egregious call.
Salcow and both Loop were called UR,but last Loop was definitely fully rotated.

일본 선수는 하체 근육이 잘 잡혀 있어서 점프 착지 시에 흔들림이 없는데
한국 선수들은 외관상 예쁘게 보이기 위해 하체 근육을 신경 쓰지 않다 보니 착지 시에 흔들림이 많이 느껴지더라구요...
