The training part was excellent, thank you for that.
When the subject moves on to medicine, it becomes clear he doesn't have a clue about what he's talking.
1 - Ear cleaning solution does NOT humidify the dog's ear canal. It's a solvent for accumulated earwax, which would prevent the medicine from coming into contact with the diseased skin. Some treatments require a cleaning-only period of several days before moving up to the medicine.
2 - Ear infection medicine does NOT dry up the ear canal. That doesn't even make sense, as dried up skin would facilitate irritation & infection. The medicine treats the condition through antibiotic and fungicide action.
Moral of the story is: dog trainers are not vets, and vice-versa. No vet will ever teach you how to convince the dog to do the treatment. So good video overall.
Instructions unclear: my dog has finessed me out of bag of treats
😂😂
smart dog!! Mine too :)
Funny. Dogs are great.😂
Love it. My baby’s ear is hurting now & I HAVE to treat it. She’s a sweetheart but she’s bitten me once now & still flares teeth. Shes not muzzle trained either. She’s a 7yr old shiba rescue so I’m not sure what the best thing to do is
Dog probably gained 2 lbs, but never got any medication in his ear!
Lmfao😂Ikr?! Exactly what I was thinking.
😅 my dogs always on a diet. I just get my partner or son to cuddle him after a little wriggling ear drops r put in then he gets a treat. He doesnt
My dog doesn't like it but needs must.Vets dont have time to do this they just get help 2hold dog 2get meds in and done.
Behavior modification isn’t a quick process! Just like humans take time to learn new skills, dogs will take time to learn new cues and become comfortable. So no it’s not a six minute cure all, it’s something to work on.
tried it and it took me a million try's and a couple of bites and not ingle drop was given
Thank you. I will give this a try.
It looks good! But, for some reason, my pup doesn't want a treat? I don't know why, because she always goes for a treat...?
Our puppy one 1 yr old and he hate anything that is wet on him. He hate water on him. So how I get to let me clean his ears and. Body. ?
Thank u I needed this for a client
I have to wrestle my Labrador retriever to clean her ears 😄 I use treats but she is too smart to give up.
I have a big golden retriever peanut butter kong helps me and prop it to where u want his ear and be quick my vet told me no way can I hit his ear drum so it works then I give a good massage after make sure it’s all in there. Works for me the treat thing just stopped working he caught on so far this kong trick is working for us.
Cleaning his ears I have the vet do it lol he’s a big guy
I'm struggling to coax my dog to let me treat him. It's tough. Thanks for the tips.
Well thx for showing us😂😂
i didn't see one ear cleaned?
Yep, nice story, but never happened.
I just wait for my dog to sleep and silently put it in her ear
But both my dog's are sweet they don't become aggressive just shake ears and try to avoid
I see you didn’t actually get anything in his ears
This is good for the future but my dog needs ear drops now and he's not being tricked by PB anymore
What about a puppy that cannot eat treat
Treats don’t work my dog catches on what worked for me since my husband can’t always help me I have a big dog a peanut butter filled kong totally was golden for me to do.
Try getting ear drops in a 500kg horse 😂
Could have made the video with no dog - you did nothing
LMFFAAOOOOO
Not fair. If he showed us a fully trained, obedient dog, he would've done everything and we would've learned nothing, like so many videos on yt.
Your audio is very bad.
Nah. I'm just going to wrestle my 25 lb dog.
Just get a cat, they're 90% less trouble in this way. Dogs are just too tiring to deal with when it comes to maintenance.
