    I don't know where the myth that MJ wasn't a good passer comes from, but MJ was excellent at everything.

      I think the argument was that Jordan "did not" pass the ball enough. Not that he couldn't. Of course, until his squad of Paxson, Pippen, Cartwright, and Grant came of age he didn't have a lot of options to pass. Phil Jackson had the keys to unlock his full potential as he did with Kobe as well.

      Trust issues. With Dean, you better pass to the open man or you sat on the bench. When he got to the pros, he was the guy and some of the players had chemical issues so he took over. Doug Collins cleaned it up but trust issues was still there till PJ.

    • @akumawani
      @akumawani 4 года назад

      nope- and its not even close. in addition to being a great athlete- jordan was fundamentally sound which is very rare to see- and those fundamentals served him well in later years when the athleticism began to wane. dean smith taught him well. people who actually understand the game realize there's no comparison to be made here. we are talking about two completely different classes of ballplayer. and to the people now trying to compare lebron as 3 with bird as a 3- stop. just... stop.

    I did not know kenny Smith played with MJ...I did not remember. Amazing how different the game is now ...that player nearly took Kenny's head off when he drove the basket, closed lined him in the air and the commenters were like Kenny went up in a bad angle there was no bad intent heat of the moment ... 80s ball man miss it.

    Was at that game at 14 yrs old. Tudor's dirty play ruined the season for perhaps the best UNC team ever assembled. Another season where a great UNC team that was playing the best ball was ruined by Creighton's Ethan Wragge who made a dirty play to break PG Kendall Marshall's wrist during the NCAAT in 2012.

    Thanks for uploading this one. This was before Jordan was Jordan and nobody knew the player he'd become and also the game where I began despising him. Tudor fouls Kenny Smith hard and Jordan goes after Tudor. IMO a classless act. Didn't care much for Jordan after this. It was a hard foul but not malicious intent was intended. If there was malicious intent Tudor would have nailed him with his body instead of his arm. Just didn't care for Jordan after this. But, as I watched the guys NBA career I had to give credit where credit was due, the guy was a hella ball player. He got pampered a lot by the refs, but was still a great player.
