Always the gentleman😀 But also not one for throwing false compliments around, so high praise indeed! So I can only add my humble compliments to the growing list. Looking good.
My Son and myself built Race cars ,Trucks, street racers and we have a saying if you don't work on the project yourself it's not REALLY yours ..GREAT JOB . :-):-):-)
When Anna said to Kath, "You're my favorite," I thought "Awe, that's true love." Then Kath said, "That means I'm carrying all the heavy bags fromTesco," I thought, "Ah, that's marriage."
So proud of you both. I never would have finished. Don't have the patience! Where are your brothers, fathers or male friends looking for something to do! But you did it! Bravo!
I can confirm that this is the best video of boating painting apart from a similar one done of the Queen Mary before her last Atlantic crossing.. Bon Voyage.
FYI next time put the sand in a mason jar, hose over opening and then put just the ring on and you can shake this way much easier.: )peace by the way you two did an amazing job on the boat it looks fantastic. :) peace
The boat looks beautiful. Rule #1, never look at the spots that aren't perfect. It looks perfect to everyone else. And always listen to your partner when she tells you wonderful things about you. Because You Can Do It.
Beautiful job girls - and hats off to Kath - you patiently did all those finicky jobs I really (really) hate and am often tempted to cut corners on - bless you
Stunning just stunning the boat don't look to bad either just kidding.you two have done a amazing job u should be proud of yourself. I would wake up every day and say I did that with a big grin on my face.
much nicer colour than the last colours job well done, when you go into any marinas your handy work will be admired and the maintenance staff will ask where you had your boat done and when you tell them you did it they'll ask if you would like a job lol
It certainly does look amazing and if Cruising the Cut says it looks amazing up close and personal then it is confirmed. I'd like to add that choosing the deep blue colour and white trim was a great decision. A home to be proud of.
Very good job girls, especially you, Annemarie (?). Most people would not have been that thorough. I was really proud of your thinking about expending an extra hour now to save an extra hour every time you wiped down the boat. Good thinking.
Looks pretty good. What was red is now blue and all the folks who are on the lookout for that darn red boat called Ewart will now be confused by a blue no-name boat. What’s next? Castles and roses?
Absolutely superb job ladies. No other words necessary. You are now officially my 'Blue Pearls'. A change from vixens, as some people are getting confused between female foxes and harridans or dragons. In my heart you'll always be my female foxes.
Excellent result girls... she looks amazing...want to paint mine but got exhausted just watching your decorating vids haha... I particularly loved the grippy bits on the gunwales
You two are fun to watch and I like your laid back and positive attitudes. I also have 'Two Cat Inspection Service" supervising anything I do around the house. :D
Nice result - looks good. I've seen the "sand treatment" done in a similar manner on non-slip walkways on both helicopters and light aircraft, so you're well up with the play.
The tip about the sand in a stocking is bloody brilliant!!! :) ... you two, with feline oversight, work together so well, it's obvious you're each playing to your strengths. The, as-yet-un-renamed boat looks gorgeous ... BRAVO!!!
Very nice job painting those lines. Generally speaking you want to remove the tape as soon as possible as the bond will become stronger the longer you leave it in place.
Well done Laides, that looks incredible.. I know you said you were both exhausted but give yourselves a huge pat on the back. Are you doing the signwriting for the name of the boat? Hopefully see that in another video.. well done, always a joy to watch you both on a Sunday evening :-) xx
you did a fantastic job boat looks great..a little tip for you if you ever paint again.when you lay your masking tape where you tear it off fold the corner back a small amount it will make removing it a lot easier as you wont have to pick at it to lift an edge....well done
Thank you, this was very therapeutic to watch :-) Also, damn you and Cruising The Cut! Since finding you all I have been obsessing over buying a boat and joining the lifestyle even though I'm completely inexperienced!
Hi, your boat is looking really good. Very brave of you to tackle it yourself. We have watched all your vlogs on our other channel. Yourselves and others have inspired us to have a go at vlogging our last Narrowboat holiday. Our dream is to get our own boat in a few years when work has calmed down.
With a cruiser stern boat rain travels down the gun whale and into the engine bay. A solution to this problem was found by having a rod deflection welded across the gun whale at an angle to deflect the rain water into the canal.
Quick tip for the masking tap over the side of the gunnels. Don't leave a sticky bit flapping around over the edge, make it slightly longer and then fold it back on itself so that the end cannot stick down and then acts as a tab to help when pulling off the tape. So no worries about marking your new paint job when the end of the masking tape sticks too well to the side.
Come back you two. I saw Munchy and wondered where Alice was, Anna and Kath are still playing the same rolls. Where are you, part of my family I haven't seen for too long. Love to see you soon, take care.
What an enormeous job you commensed there. I am truly amazed by the time and effort you have put into this. Even took the time to document the job on film. I am really impressed. And the boat looks georgeous. I really like the contrast on that wonderfull blue color and the clear white lines. well done!!!
Many years ago when I used to hand paint my cars, I was given some very interesting advice; I was told I should mix my 'Crown Gloss' with Varnish to give it that brushless sheen ...... #Amazing!! ;-)
Utterly brilliant job, i must finish mine now. The foil in the tray tip is such a good idea as well. Looking forward to the new name. Now have a few days rest, i think you deserve it. Best wishes Ed😁
The boat is looking great, you gals did a fine job ! You should be very proud. Now I can't wait to see the new name painted on her. (BTW - I'm liking the braids, they suit you well)
It looks a great job in the videos...and even if it looks half as good in the flesh it's a triumph! Really, really impressed. That's a lot of work, and you took it on and won! Feel VERY proud. And I take back all I have said in the past about Kath doing all the hard work, you really put a shift in here Anna! Well done both of you!
The end result is fantastic! You should be very proud of yourselves. I hope you have managed a few days rest since the completion. You certainly deserve it.
I have seen the boat in the flesh and I can confirm it looks AMAZING.
You did, and you were a gentleman for those five minutes and used all the right compliments. Thank you. x
Always the gentleman😀
But also not one for throwing false compliments around, so high praise indeed!
So I can only add my humble compliments to the growing list. Looking good.
Thanks
Can’t wait to see David (cruisingthecut) repeat this feat on his boat. 😂 I’m sure it won’t go as smoothly.. but he will give it a dam good go of it!
My Son and myself built Race cars ,Trucks, street racers and we have a saying if you don't work on the project yourself it's not REALLY yours ..GREAT JOB . :-):-):-)
thanks
When Anna said to Kath, "You're my favorite," I thought "Awe, that's true love." Then Kath said, "That means I'm carrying all the heavy bags fromTesco," I thought, "Ah, that's marriage."
What was indeed a brilliant come back from Kath !
I’m not one for criticism, and there ain’t non coming now. JOB VERY WELL DONE. YOUR BOAT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
That was so much more exciting than watching paint dry :).......oh wait.............
So proud of you both. I never would have finished. Don't have the patience! Where are your brothers, fathers or male friends looking for something to do! But you did it! Bravo!
A superb job done properly and not skimping in any way were the quality of the job is concerned. You both deserve a glass of wine for all that effort.
I could watch work all day.
I can confirm that this is the best video of boating painting apart from a similar one done of the Queen Mary before her last Atlantic crossing.. Bon Voyage.
That's a great new name for your boat . .
"Bottoms In The Air"
Seriously can not put it to a vote now!
Chris Cross BOTTOMS UP
FYI next time put the sand in a mason jar, hose over opening and then put just the ring on and you can shake this way much easier.: )peace by the way you two did an amazing job on the boat it looks fantastic. :) peace
The boat looks beautiful. Rule #1, never look at the spots that aren't perfect. It looks perfect to everyone else. And always listen to your partner when she tells you wonderful things about you. Because You Can Do It.
Very nice job, ladies! You should be proud of your great work.
Thank you, nice of you to say.
She looks gorgeous ,you'll have all the "Buoys" chasing her
The sand is a great idea. Much cheaper than anti slip paint. Great tip.
She looks smashing, you ladies did and AWESOME job and should be proud, a total Team effort!
Watching you remove the tape is so satisfying. ...my favorite part of painting. Really nice job, ladies!
It's really satisfying to do, I can see why people just keep applying coach lines everywhere.
Beautiful job girls - and hats off to Kath - you patiently did all those finicky jobs I really (really) hate and am often tempted to cut corners on - bless you
Definitely
Stunning just stunning the boat don't look to bad either just kidding.you two have done a amazing job u should be proud of yourself. I would wake up every day and say I did that with a big grin on my face.
Fantastic jobs girls , boat looks great. Very professional looking finish
thanks
I was unusually impatient waiting for this video to post. It looks great!
Same here! An totally wasn't disappointed, these 2 are amazing!🤗
Great job of painting the boat girls, you have got all the know how.x
So satisfying to have done it yourselves and saved loads of money. Well done girls 😀
We did save a bit of money- should probably do a break down of costs at some point. But I think the professional job would also have been spectacular.
Painting is very therapeutic so I’m told. Doing a great job ladies well done .
Yes, it is. And it's great when you stop too.
much nicer colour than the last colours job well done, when you go into any marinas your handy work will be admired and the maintenance staff will ask where you had your boat done and when you tell them you did it they'll ask if you would like a job lol
Wow, Now that is a fantastic job very very well done. From shabby to shiny.👍👍👍
Well done, it looks very good and you have the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself.
Very true
You know when I buy a narrowboat when I get to the UK... I might just hire you guys... great job... wow. You have such a great ideas.
Lovely paint work. You'll be the envy of all the other Warrior Princesses of the Canals.
...... Oh wait...... there are no others.
There's always more Warrior Princesses! :)
As others have noted a real triumph! Proof that prep is 7/10ths of the job and an excellent result.
So true. I don't think it should really be called boat painting, as it is all about the boat prepping.
Job well done ladies!
It certainly does look amazing and if Cruising the Cut says it looks amazing up close and personal then it is confirmed. I'd like to add that choosing the deep blue colour and white trim was a great decision. A home to be proud of.
You should paint white paw prints down the gunnel. Nice job by the way.
I agree
Very good job girls, especially you, Annemarie (?). Most people would not have been that thorough. I was really proud of your thinking about expending an extra hour now to save an extra hour every time you wiped down the boat. Good thinking.
I liked it very much. What a lovely transformation ladies. Well worth the aching limbs I’d say. 👍❤️
Nice job ladies, love the new colour scheme. Well done.
You gals are amazing! The boat is definitely looking beautiful.
Boat looks great! My favorite color!!!
Looks pretty good. What was red is now blue and all the folks who are on the lookout for that darn red boat called Ewart will now be confused by a blue no-name boat. What’s next? Castles and roses?
People are now in the lookout for the blue unnamed boat. Lol.
Absolutely superb job ladies. No other words necessary. You are now officially my 'Blue Pearls'. A change from vixens, as some people are getting confused between female foxes and harridans or dragons. In my heart you'll always be my female foxes.
Blue Pearls- love it. Maybe the Sapphires?
@@TheNarrowboatExperience Yeah, I like that, sapphires it is.
Very tidy, neat.
Thank you
Excellent result girls... she looks amazing...want to paint mine but got exhausted just watching your decorating vids haha... I particularly loved the grippy bits on the gunwales
Thanks, Yes only start when you aren't already exhausted.
I like your boat now its blue looks much better
Thank you
The Narrowboat Experience your welcome no I’ll know its you when you drive past whilst I’m on my walks
You girls are amazing!! You tackle anything!! By the way my artwork arrived in tact...THANK YOU! !
Glad it arrived. Thanks for your support.
You two are fun to watch and I like your laid back and positive attitudes. I also have 'Two Cat Inspection Service" supervising anything I do around the house. :D
You should do a couple sanded cat paws on the gunnels;-)
Yes, I thought of that, but they don't ever help when mooring up so....
You ladies have done an amazing paint job on your boat and at the side of the canal too. 10/10 for skill, effort and patience.
Thank you so kind
Love the way you painted ewart when you had her ....i just found this one .awesome job 👍👍👍
Nice result - looks good. I've seen the "sand treatment" done in a similar manner on non-slip walkways on both helicopters and light aircraft, so you're well up with the play.
A lovely paint job done by a lovely couple xx
The tip about the sand in a stocking is bloody brilliant!!! :) ... you two, with feline oversight, work together so well, it's obvious you're each playing to your strengths. The, as-yet-un-renamed boat looks gorgeous ... BRAVO!!!
Thanks. Glad you liked the tip.
Nice job ladies😀 Cheers from Vancouver 🇨🇦
Very nice job painting those lines. Generally speaking you want to remove the tape as soon as possible as the bond will become stronger the longer you leave it in place.
The higher the temp, the quicker it dries, the more it shines. It does look a lot better. Nice job.
That looks tidy fair play you worked hard
thanks
Well done Laides, that looks incredible.. I know you said you were both exhausted but give yourselves a huge pat on the back. Are you doing the signwriting for the name of the boat? Hopefully see that in another video.. well done, always a joy to watch you both on a Sunday evening :-) xx
Well done it looks fabulous :)
Great job young ladies. Thank you for the video. Working my way though your videos slowly... Take care be safe.
My gunnel’s are pretty slippery, so good to see this.
you did a fantastic job boat looks great..a little tip for you if you ever paint again.when you lay your masking tape where you tear it off fold the corner back a small amount it will make removing it a lot easier as you wont have to pick at it to lift an edge....well done

Looks amazing ladies, very well done. New name for your boat "The Ladies Of Llangollen"
With a cruiser stern boat rain travels down the gun whale and into the engine bay.
A solution to this problem was found by having a rod deflection welded across the gun whale at an angle to deflect the rain water into the canal.
Well done ladies, not an easy job.
Not easy at all but hopefully one that doesn't need repeating for 5- 10 years.
Quick tip for the masking tap over the side of the gunnels.
Don't leave a sticky bit flapping around over the edge, make it slightly longer and then fold it back on itself so that the end cannot stick down and then acts as a tab to help when pulling off the tape.

What an enormeous job you commensed there. I am truly amazed by the time and effort you have put into this. Even took the time to document the job on film. I am really impressed. And the boat looks georgeous. I really like the contrast on that wonderfull blue color and the clear white lines. well done!!!
You picked a great color and did a great job. If I was over there and in the market, I'd definitely want a look at her.
Really nice job girls, looks brill, well done👍
The boat looks great
Many years ago when I used to hand paint my cars, I was given some very interesting advice; I was told I should mix my 'Crown Gloss' with Varnish to give it that brushless sheen ...... #Amazing!! ;-)
Interesting tip. Thanks.
:-) :-) :-) ... I think you were supposed to reply with; ...... "Stop Winding Me Up You Nutcase" ;-)
It looks really nice. You did a good job.
Utterly brilliant job, i must finish mine now. The foil in the tray tip is such a good idea as well. Looking forward to the new name. Now have a few days rest, i think you deserve it.
Best wishes Ed😁
Yes, I got that from your video didn't I? I was using cling film- don't laugh!
Nice and relaxing watching a boat become lovely. And it’s now more yours than it was.
A cracking' job done lasses...
The boat is looking great, you gals did a fine job ! You should be very proud. Now I can't wait to see the new name painted on her.
(BTW - I'm liking the braids, they suit you well)
Wow, what an excellent job. Your boat looks so much nicer now. Perhaps you need to give Jono lessons, has he finished his yet 😂😂
I don’t think he painted his own though.
The boat looks stunning! You’ve worked so hard. You must’ve ached for days after. Can’t wait to see the new name! xx
Yes we really did ache, it was well worth it.
You've done a great job and should be justly proud
You've done a spectacular job--your (Nameless) boat looks incredible. The coach lines are a beautiful extra touch--very chic!
Well done!!
Thank you
Very professional job ladies
It looks amazing - well done
The end result is fantastic! You should be very proud of yourselves. I hope you have managed a few days rest since the completion. You certainly deserve it.
Perfection!
Thanks, not up close though.
Ladies....you did a great job..... I know it would test my patience ........ it looks fantastic
Looks like you did a very good job.
Great Job Ladies!!!
verrrrry nice 😊 you both did a great job! looks like a new boat!
Yes, she does, we do love it.
Yes!🤭 I did around the bow doors last summer as they were desperate, but everything is desperate now! 🌻
Yes, I understand that. The bow doors and the stern I think are the trickiest bits, so fiddly.
your new paint is excellent.
