I notice that Mark Rutte's English has improved greatly. He must have taken lessons. The accent is still there, but his choice of words is so much better. Well done, Mark.

I doubt that his English has improved within weeks, but now he’s no longer the Dutch prime minister he is probably speaking English every waking moment and his ability to find the words that he knows becomes easier. I’m actually a native English speaker but have lived in the Netherlands 47 years. When I’m amongst English speakers I now have trouble finding the words and even pronouncing them. After a week amongst English people it gets better, I suppose practice makes perfect.

@@irenehabes-quene2839 I've been in the Netherlands now for 59 years. Also a native English speaker, born in Australia, and came here as a child. My experience is, however, that my vocabulary has expanded over the years. The only thing is that I've lost my Aussie accent for a large part and it has become more Anglicized/Americanized because of the TV. Luckily nowadays, I can listen to Aussie radio through the internet and things are starting to come back even though it has changed somewhat over the years because of immigration.

He speaks at behalf of all memers ofcourse, so saying that Ukraine will become member one day, sooner or later ,is that in accordance with ex. Orban?
Just asking as I was happy, he stated that, but at the same time SURPRISED.

Yeah,I don’t think that’s the top requirement for the job somehow. Having spent time in The Netherlands I can attest that their English is superb. They start speaking in Dutch, mid sentence realise you don’t understand and seamlessly switch to perfect English. The world is sooo accommodating of us single language people don’t you find?

Both Stoltenberg and Rutte, speaks English with the accent og their mother tongue. Then it's just a question what accent that you understand the best.
Do not see it as a huge problem. It's the qualities
In the work for NATO that matters.

As the People's Republic of China continues to aid Russia in its aggression against Ukraine, it is imperative that the entire Western world-comprising over one billion inhabitants-boycotts Chinese goods and companies investing in China. The Chinese Communist Party is highly sensitive to business matters, and trade with the West accounts for more than 62% of their gross domestic product.

Have you ever tried to boycott China? I have. Check EVERY product you want to purchase. It's virtually impossible. Are you willing to pay more for some products and give up others? The west has entangled itself to a ridiculous level. 😢

@twinproject322 The CCP has long been hostile to the Western world and our business leaders in the West have mostly been ignorant of or indifferent to the security risk of funding the Chinese. The less trade with China the better.
