Global Governance is vital. It means global coordination in times of global crisis, such as the coming climate crisis which has some scientists legitimately turning into apocalypse preppers. The UN was founded after world war 2. It's kind of like a democracy but with the heads of states casting the votes. Currently the system is a Global Confederacy, a loose coalition of states that work towards common objectives such as the sustainable development goals. The Global Federalist element within that system is the Security Council but it has a limited scope of peace and security and 5 states with veto powers, the USA, UK, France, Russia and China.
