LOL, there are always ways to circumvent the rules. Also on the 2nd playthrough you can kill everyone just to see what different things happens. I've always wondered what happens if you killed Otar, will Koller be happy?
Imagine what would be going through Adam's mind at the time... "Well, it seems that time is not on my side... I'm either gonna have to save the bomb maker... or perform the heist... but maybe I could just use my phase-out-of-the-universe augs to do both of them in time!"
Lore-wise, there's no reason a detective like Jensen couldn't have figured out Stanek would be held on the top floor and he could just punch the walls to give himself handholds to climb up, effectively solving the mission in 3 minutes after getting the heist objective from Alex, but NOOOO, the top floor windows are barricaded with titanium wood and you can only punch straight through walls
To get this to work you need to go to the Subway through the Devali Theatre where you have a hole in the wall through which you can reach the subway. Once you reach the substation you will need to approach it from the platform which is above it, then you can drop down and you can select where ever you want to travel to without getting a prompt from Alex where you need to choose between the Bank and Allison. After this you can go save Allison and whatever else you need to do, then go back to the original subway station and you will get the prompt from Alex where you can pick the Bank. Happy playing.
You can do both, without doing anything stupid like climbing walls and crap, after seeing janus just don't go down the subway a normal way, just go to the theatre in dvali territory and use the basement there to enter the subway through the back way, that way no dialog with Alex starts until you return to the top map
This works, but I found you still need to climb outside the map to get this to work. Unless you did something different, then please chime in. If you rush straight up to Allison using the stairwell in the church, after taking the Davli sewers, triggered Vega for me; prompting me to take the video's "Sky" route. After that, you should not hear Vega at all once Allison is is handcuffed. Subway back over to Palisade, run up the steps and Vega should trigger and Jensen's reply about having to save Allison yada, yada. Once clear of subway last steps, take the alley immediately to your right, proceed to the bank!
rufus i confirm it works well on PS4 if you go to the subway thru Dvali Theater and then follow the "sky path" as the video tells it! You can "save" Alison and then proceed to the bank! Thanks a lot guys
still works on pc/steam with all updates. go to theater , goto radiches office unlock the door with the computer, go through drop to sewer follow it to door at back of train station, go through door catch train to rescue the girl, talk to the old man at church of gods, do the out of map thing , as in video above. do the right replys done get the jammer. go back to train station hope over to palisades, then the quest triggers save the girl or do the bank, sellect bank as game dont recognise u just saved her, so u get the antidote from the vault. update after doing the 2 missions koller will call to get your augs fixed side quest fixit do it, but a bit later after that, koller will call again with the same mission fix it, dont go the 2nd time its a glitch, if u goto him game will freeze up perma, just do fixit quest once and ignore it when he calls u to do it again its a glitch
You're playing on Steam all you have to do is right click in your game and go back to a previous version of the game and do everything that was explained. After you rescue allison just get back to the current version of the game and voilá. Both missions succeed
I'm on the latest version of 1.19 : 801.0. I can confirm that this method works flawlessly. Anybody stating otherwise has messed up somewhere along the way.
By the way, it is still working today on PC. Even though Adam landed in the right place (next to the mattress) he couldn`t move forward neither walking nor sprinting. After about 20 attempts it finally worked. Thank you for this workaround.
Good vid but now this does not work anymore (PS4). All good up to talking to Allison, then Vegas Message comes in saying Bank was cleaned out and your too late. The Bank Heist quest fails. With Patch 1.04.
I failed though, when opening the door(to allison's room, wait,IN allison's room i rather). But its okay though, its entirely Alex's fault lol, because she says she cant break in to a bank by herself even though she got cloaking
I love the way you think. I was actually thinking about why Alex couldn't help out - one would assume that she would be capable of handling that situation. It would have been understandable if she was in the midst of another situation that prevented her from helping out - but nope, not in this particular storyline.
Yeah it would have been fun if when given the choice alex does the other mission. Here is the catch if she is the one that does the bank mission she finds the cold storage boxes with you know who in them. If she goes after the bombmaker she could fluff it or risk blowing your cover.
@Cheng Teoh I’ve did this twice now following the plan exactly through. The first time (about half a year ago from now, so way past 1.6) it worked just fine. But just now I tried again and even after 6 attempts I always got the call from Alex after finishing the Allison Debate. Did they fix it so it doesn’t work anymore?
@@aurora0023 I learned some more about, apparently you should also do this dvali theatre shortcut and then follow up with this, I too am trying it out today
@@guy5396 as I said in my fist comment, I did this before and it worked just fine by following the vid step by step. So I didn’t use the dvali shortcut the first time either and it still worked. Dunno if you need to use it now for it to work
@@aurora0023 Well I played it on the Xbox this time and used the dvali shortcut as well. I can confirm it works with the shortcut; any other way, Alex calls right after the conversation with Allison.
Still working on steam in 2021, just make sure you use the dvali theatre route to the subway at the start then after u save the girl, go back on the subway and when you go up the stairs the choice to start the bank heist should pop up, crashed once for me at this point but worked after i relaunched
Doesn't work anymore. Once you accomplish the save Allison mission, it triggers the fail call from Vega even if you've avoided all the previous calls 😔
Guys I just did the impossible and did the mission both remember when Allison's father call you that he needs your help quickly run to the train and go to the church where Allison is then do the thing in the video and when your done go back to the train and go to the entrance of the game then the lady will call you to choose whether you go to Allison or the bank choose the bank then viola m12 is open
I tried the method with the 1.19 version (with the Season Pass) and it didn't work. Still, traveling out of the map was funny, that at least still works :)
What the hell? I wanted to save Jim but for some reason I never got the option to even go to the Bank Job after mission 10. Alex never called me and have me an option, I just went to Allison and then the dialogue about the trucks leaving the bank came. Help
they changed the game so now if you talk to allison the trigger happens anyways. But we can still save the vips by going there first, just not the attack on the boss.
4:55 how come i never get the option to use the signal jammer in the cutscene? i've beaten this game around 3 or 4 times. i received the signal jammer from Allison but the option doesn't appear... Adam just says "I'm taking you down, Viktor" and the fight starts.
2:15 when I tried it looked like they removed that reachable location with the patch but I managed to work on it until it worked. In this video he just looks at the crate and instantly can "grab" it. For me it was much more tough but yeah, at that time was still possible :)
Appears to no longer work on PC - followed the guide, triggered the persuasion check, once complete it gave me the phone call and failed the heist mission.
Weird thing happened to me, I have not got the heist mission at all as I used probably the wrong train station to get to Přepážka district. I wonder if I can get it after finishing the Confronting the bombmaker...
Confirmed that this doesn't work anymore, I followed the steps exactly and the heist mission still failed. I got the call after the conversation with Allison.
Poop for sure. That is the minor inconvenience of hidden online updates. Sorry that this video couldn't work for you. If there was any other ways to not fail the heist after patch I would have posted up a video.
I can confirm this still works for PC, 17-Sep-2016 (v1.4 Build 545.5); get to it while it's still fresh! As a tip, you can jump or teleport yourself to the second ledge (the same ledge where OP disabled the mine) from the roof of the building with the basketball hoop, probably safer than teleporting yourself right next to the mine as shown in vid. As for people who have qualms about doing this.... think of it as a Lvl 6 hack, so advanced that you hacking the game itself.
The thing that bothers me is if you save Allison, Side Mission 12 becomes unavailable. Its a very tough choice. Both Missions are fun especially for Stealthy people like myself.
@@ChengTeoh so did I .Only problem is that you get "The Fix" quest twice(The Neuoroplasticity callibrator one), and the second time you attempt it the game softlocks.
maybe the only problem with this game is the optimization, with my 7800x3d, 3080 ti and 32gb of ram, with all in ultra in 1080p the game barely reaches 80fps but drop to 50-45 all the time... and with dx12 enabled is crashing all the time.
This is not working for me. I can open the door without triggering the phone call, but every time I finish the cut scene with Allison being arrested I get the call
I know, I'm getting the same exact outcome as you! I've tried it a half a dozen times from different angles. I'll open up the door pretty far away and don't trigger the call from Alex - and yet it still happens after the scene. There was just a huge 6gb+ update that came out for Deus Ex yesterday, and I wonder if they realized this exploit and changed it.
It's absolutely possible that the update did fix this. Have not checked it out since I don't usually allow updates. I like to play games in their original intended form and since I haven't encountered any game breaking bugs, I didn't feel the need to download the big update.
My gut tells me they patched over it, although I don't know for sure. I wasn't home when the update downloaded, otherwise I definitely would've stopped it had I caught the download in time. Although it's getting harder and harder to play pretty much any game without downloading released patches.
Why on earth would they patch something like this when there are other more important things to fix? Lol stupid consoles with no way to downgrade to an older patch. I uninstalled game and reinstalled, but now that my saves are 1.03 I cannot use them without updating and no way that ai know of to update to only 1.03....
If you loaded the update 1.04 patch, it might not work. I have not tried it out since I haven't uploaded the most recent patch. Also you have to make sure that you open the door as far as possible since the Vega conversation overlaps the door.
This is no longer possible with the new update, even if you use this method. As soon as you're done talking to Allison, Vega will call you alerting you the bank convoy has already left in turn failing the bank heist.
*Confirmed as of 12/13/19, latest version 1.19 build 801.0: For anyone who lands here, you can do this WITHOUT downgrading your version of Mankind Divided by following the instructions at ruclips.net/video/PDhSPOAzhBE/видео.html (Thanks Fubar). I will note, however, if you're a purist, that this will keep M12 (Heist) in your journal for the rest of your game, and will likely add a second un-completable SM08 (The Fix). If you complete The Fix once, then try to complete it again, you will get the same Koller dialogue, however, part-way through the conversation, the game will freeze on a view of Koller's feet, and you will have to load a previous save.
It's very fiddly, but I think if you get as close to the edge of the ledge the icarus dash should be able to reach that block. It might also help if you stood up and tried the Icarus dash.
Thanks for showing how it's done! However I regretted watching it since It contains MASSIVE spoilers, wich I wasn't expecting and it wasn't made clear the video contained them. I, and assuming a lot of other people as well probably came just wanting to know how it was done to maintain both quests available, but not necessarily know the aftermath and what choices the quests affect way up ahead. If I knew this was coming I would have turned it off earlier. Of course it's your video and you can show what you want.. but maybe just a text message on screen with a warning that spoilers are coming after the tutorial itself would have been better? :( This has kinda ruined the game for me now, and I wish I could forget having watched this. Either way, thank you - I rolled back the Steam version and was able to complete it.
I've followed your steps and got both M11 and M12, but now its telling me I have to do SM 08 The Fix again. So when I go through all the motions, I get as far as sitting in the chair then the game freezes. No big deal really as he's already activated them all before. it's just now it is not a finished mission. Anyway a big thanks Cheng
I should probably have mentioned that after doing M11, you should do SM08 The Fix. Then do M12 and disregard Koller when he asks you to come back with the Neuroplasticity calibrator again. The game doesn't know what to do with the fact that you aren't suppose to be allowed to do both the missions - Poor Koller. :) If you went back to him after M11, it'll end up as a check marked completed, but not really completed. Also Miller will be mad at you for not tracking the bomber and butting into maccready's investication, which is pretty amusing since you did both.
Actually I miss-spoke, if you do M12 and then go to Miller, Miller will be mad at you for not following the bomber lead, although you could say that you did. I haven't tried going back to Miller after saving Allison so that you could tell him about the bomber. I don't think there's a way to have Miller happy at you for doing BOTH the missions since it wasn't intended to happen that way. lol.
It actually works. I just tried it on my PS4 while following this. Alex hasn't called me at all about bank failure. Wait. Nevermind. Alex just called after I was talking with Allison. Bank heist still autofailed. Damn it!!.....
@@ChengTeoh I do have the game on a physical disc. If anything, I'm willing to replay the game again to try to use another method that doesn't involve using the subway because that'll trigger the call from Alex of having me to chose one of the 2 missions. So I just found out there's still a chance of doing both missions without failing one by using the rooftops from Allison Mission to Bank Heist. It may be a longer way without using the subway but using the rooftops from what I saw so far, won't trigger the ultimatum from Alex. So I'm gonna try that method to see this through. I hope the updated patch doesn't affect this either.
Just tried it, did not work, I have the Icarus dash but am unable to dash from the third floor ledge to the top most generator. The 'hand' icon doesn't come up.
nevermind I got it yo work, somehow I got glitched into a ledge then fell into the spot behind the yellow room with the tv screen that you entered using icarus dash.
lol, that's great. I think that you found the easier spot to icarus dash to instead of dropping down from that ledge. :) I accidentally found that spot too. If you remember seeing that dome-like roof, you could icarus dash to that, then icarus dash to that ledge then to the room.
Duuuuude, I've done every single step until I have to open the door by not getting too close. After the conversation with Allison. Vega called and I failed to go to the bank T_T
Sadly, this method no longer works if you've got patch 1.04 as mentioned in the description/title. There was a way of doing both missions that involves going to the station via the backdoor way through Dvali territory, hack open the level 4 locked door to get to the security terminal with the camera and the locked door, hack that open, icarus jump down to the sewers, follow the path until you reach the ladder going up to the station [ doing all that bypasses the conversation with Alex that forces you to choose between the mission. ] Now you can follow the tricks on the video to avoid triggering the conversation with Alex telling you that you missed your chance at the bank. ps. Once you head into the station after finishing with Stanek you'll get a message from Alex giving you a choice of doing either mission which is amusing since you've already completed with one of the choices. :D
Best of luck! :D It's sad to know that this Deus Ex will be the last one for the foreseeable future. Squeenix is now on my naughty list for shipping out an unfinished story and saying it'll be part of a bigger universe only to go retract those words because of "poor sales". megagames.com/news/report-square-enix-has-put-deus-ex-series-hold
Does this work on Xbox One X right now in 2019? I got _DXMD_ for free with Game Pass and I got the decision, not knowing what to do, and this video caught my interest. Please *TELL ME SQUARE ENIX AND EIDOS DIDN'T PATCH IT!*
I think there is. It involves not triggering the conversation with Alex in which she'll give you either the option to do the Heist or get to the Bomber when you get close to the subway map. In order to avoid that particular trigger point you would need to get into the subway via the sewers, which you can get to by going through the Dvali Theater to the area where Otar and Radich will have their meeting in Mission 14. Once you get there there's a terminal that opens a door which leads to the sewers - you need to have Icarus to fall down it.
Wonderful, so you found the sewers alright then? Feel free to drop by again and ask me anything you are having a problem with and I'll try to reply if I can.
i am on PC on latest version. works for me after i try it out for fun. thx! BUT, the vega message will trigger after that and the bank part will fail automatically haha.
Glad to know that it worked. Yes the game doesn't know what to do when you've already done both missions so it reverts to saying you've failed one of them. It is a little sad that no one acknowledges that you did a super-human job at solving both problems even though technically it shouldn't have been possible [ lol ]
If you happen to do both missions the game doesn't know how to resolve that fact, it will act like the last one you did never happened. You'll still get the item but characters in the game world will still have dialogue of you not doing it. Thank goodness it doesn't freeze the game to a state where it can't continue. :)
Must be patched. I just followed this to the letter and after the cut-scene, Alex called with the bank fail...Sucks. Instead of the Icarus dash for the last leap which was failing, I used the trash can, put it as close to the edge as I could, stood on it as far back to the edge as I could and was able to jump up to the top stack. But still cool way to stealth in.
Yes, it seems the patch might have fixed this for some which is a darn shame. Thanks for being so understanding. If there was a way that I could find a way to still be able to do this and not fail the other mission, I would.
I find these decisions soo weird in Deus Ex because there was always a way to "SAVE BOTH" in the previous game ffs it's called DEUS EX for a reason. There is always a secret way to save both parties but in this game it's with glitches smh
My favourite part of the game: AH YOU FUCKED IT DID YOU JENSEN!! JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE CHIKANE!! ROFL!! What was your favourite funny part? not to mention all gruff and grizzled no nonsense i love me scotch jensen also love kiddies cereal ... cause got to have those gnomes :-P
Well I think the funnier moments in the game have been the unintentional moments where a guard's limp body oozes through the floor leaving you with parts of the body to pick up and stretch in many hilariously silly picassoesque ways.
If you've recently updated to the latest patch this trick no longer works. But there is a workaround that involves going to the train station via the backdoor so that you don't trigger Alex giving you a choice to do either of the missions. [ the other entrance involves going through Duvali territory, hacking a level 4 door to get to the terminal to open the door. then you jump down to the sewers and follow the way to the train entrance ]
Cheng Teoh is there any other details you can give for the other way to do it without triggering no alex choices because I want to try that I can't get over having to only do one I know we have to go to the devali territory but any links for exact instructions?
Yes there is another way to avoid triggering the "choices" - you need to avoid going to the train station through the front "normal" way down the stairs. Thankfully enough there is such a workaround - that particular train station has a backdoor that starts all the way back at Dvali territory and goes through the sewers. Remember the mission that involves getting to Radich Nikoladze? Well once you see the meeting you've got the option to head down to the sewers if you hack the door open from a terminal next to his office [ be sure you have the Icarus Landing ]. Once in the sewers follow it until you reach a ladder that gets you access to the train station backdoor.
I went through hell getting the aug, trying to make it work right, fell 20+ times and finally got it done seemlessly. Only to find that once the cut scene is over with Allison, Vega calls you and there is no doing both. Thanks for wasting my time buddy.
I do apologize, it is most likely that they patched the particular work-around out. It is a darn shame that they don't give an option to do both if you wanted to.
A shame that the choice here is not like the final one in Human Revolution. At first it seems like a binary choice but then if you're quick enough, bam you can do both. Missed opportunity to do the same in Mankind Divided.
Sadly, without using glitches is impossible to obtain "no kills" trophy 1st run- easy - I saved Allison... and killed some crinimals, cops, civilians on the road - Miller died I'm playing the 2nd run, Always easy mode. This time i will go for the Orchid, but then i will not have the jammer and for to save the buildings i will have to use the killswitch on Marchenko, losing the trophy... Sorry civilians...
I managed to get both done as there’s a time limit to do both. What I did was get to Marchenko ASAP (with Icarus dash) to fight him. In the fight, I used an EMP grenade to disable the turret near him before coming in with Icarus dash, stunning him (stun gun) and non lethally knocking him out. For getting to the VIPs, I just ran past all of them and got there in time.
That is a darn shame. I've had someone on PC tell me that it still works. At least this workaround is still possible if you don't plan on playing the DLC that's coming out.
If you didn't install the update patches and played with the original game it is possible. I've heard that this particular way of doing both missions have been patched out since version 1.04 came out. But I've been told that there is another way of doing both missions even after that patch.
I think there are those who enjoy finding ways to get out of bounds in order to see how the game sections are laid out. There are very VERY interesting tricks on Deus Ex Human Revolutions that involve phasing objects through walls. Also in most games there is points where getting out-of-bounds is simply accomplished by what is called a cover-breach.
*laughs* Goes to show how open ended Deus Ex is. I read the video title and nearly started banging my head into the counter, assuming you meant there was a IN CANNON way to pull off both that I'd somehow utterly missed my first time through.
lol, it is a shame that there wasn't a way that didn't involve using exploits. Maybe something like if you got to her within 3 minutes then you'd still have the time to get to the bank before they were able to take away the evidence .. or even better, they could have still been at the bank in the midst of taking away the evidence and you'd have to either slow them down before they cleaned out the bank or you somehow got to the evidence before they could.
Cheng Teoh Yeah. Instead of a boolean yes/no, introduce some flexibility into game mission structure. If you go to the bank first, you can sneak in, or blast it apart, but if you clear out the church first, you almost HAVE to go loud to stop them as they leave, or somehow intercept them enroute.
it'also makes more sense as well, because I'm still struggling to accept that Marchenko would just tell Allision about GARM. Like why would he ever told her about a secret facility he's hiding at? She's an unstable bomb-maker. And for Adam to just accept that and go to GARM without even questioning it is very out of character of him, too. In my opinion, we should have get to follow through with Stanek first, where we find out that she made him a shit ton of bombs and we have no idea where he is, so everyone is in panic mode. Then, Janus steps in and say "Well... you know, ever since you kicked the hornet's nest by finding the bomb-maker, Versalife suddenly wants to clear out their fault. I can help you get in." My jaws were almost to the ground when I find out how much plot was lost by ignoring the heist, and Adam's character development, too. The big fork choices are so meaningless, it's annoying as hell rather than add to the story. I still think it's a good game, but the story was messed with so bad and chopped that I was so disappointed when I finally saw the end. Like it, but HR is still a better story.
***** If the DLC is as big as it was for HR, that could go a long way to fixing it. They have 2 planned, and the one for HR was an entire main mission size. Maybe two more main missions could flesh things out. I like that there /was/ a branching choice. Replay value, realism, etc. I AM let down there isn't some super secret way to handle both, maybe involving how side missions were resolved. But yeah. The main issue is Marchekno. You can NOT have a muscle bound killer as your primary antagonist in a Deus Ex game. It's...no. It's like Donkey Kong fighting the Illuminati, it just doesn't fit. I like that he wasn't STUPID, what with reading the classics and having his own plan and all. That was nice. Still. Feels like there should be a title card after you beat him. MK would have made a fantastic first Deus Ex act.
I would like the branching choices if they were meaningful. Like in the Witcher 3, the choices affects the result of that particular mission/quest and the story as it unfolds, it doesn't take a whole chunk of the plot away. I was excited at first when they made us choose, but when I realised what the choices entailed, it was ridiculous. The choice at the end made sense, but again, it was also terribly executed because I've seen someone go and save Brown and still Marchenko just waited for us to show up, and the guy didn't even have the killswitch. If Marchenko blew people up and we got pissed and kill him, it would impact us since we had to choose but nope. Like in the DLC from HR as you mention (I love that DLC so much it hurts), that kind of choice is brilliant. It doesn't take away from the plot, instead adds and changes it, thus more likely for us to replay, wanting to see the different results and reactions. With Stanek vs. Bank nothing changes except if we want to save her life and do our job, we literally lost a huge chunk of the plot that would not only make it more interesting, but also important as hell. It felt forced more than anything. (I wish we got Quinn back, Alex was kinda boring to me, and useless for the most part of the game, too.) I feel like MD has great ideas. Talos Rucker was such an interesting character, but he just dies like... after 5 minutes. Marchenko could have been made far more interesting, but they did nothing for him so he just ended up a muscle guy who has to be the boss fight. I also feel like it was chopped for a sequel. Most of the information we found points us towards Hong Kong, which I firmly believe was supposed to be the other hub instead of throwing us to London tower thing. Marchenko should have been a stepping stone, and I suspect, from the announcement trailer, we should have got to fight him in the Dvali Theatre, which would be epic. And instead of the whole only lethal boss fight, we may have the option to let TF29 arrest him. Then we go to Hong Kong. Also I thought they could have fleshed out the relationship between Stanek and Marchenko, had them been comrades in the past or something, forced into their augmentation to do their jobs hence the extremism and hatred. Having Marchenko see his comrades falls into insanity as they are unable to cope and all they get is oppression and steps on even further would give him a nice motive, or at least give some fire to his motives to why he chose to wage war in retaliation. Another thing that bothered me to hell was the Sarif side mission. It was so obviously cut. Like really? Sarif is just gonna say "some answers you need to find for yourself?" and sods off? And they killed Orlov off without giving us any clue to ANYTHING. We get more answer from the Black Light novel then the game, and that's ridiculous. Then you have the Harvester mission (which was great, I absolutely love it), that directly had Orlov involved yet we seem to have absolutely no opinion about it nor do we discuss it with Sarif, who brought the guy to our attention in the first place. The interaction with our collegues are also sooo limited. The people in TF29 are interesting, yet we barely ever make contact with them. MacReady in particular. We get some fun with him in the prologue but that was it. Where're the character developments? We love Pritchard, Malik, and Sarif because we get time to develop relationships with them. Hell, even Haas has more development than these lot. I'm so sorry for the long rant. I've been looking forward to Mankind Divided since before they had a name for it. I didn't doubt that the gameplay would be amazing, but the thing I looked forward to the most was the story. It wasn't terrible, it was just disappointing coming from the same team who developed HR. Even the title credit was bland compared to HR. :( I do hope the DLCs give us some satisfaction. I hate that Square Enix is going down the same road as EA, but I love Deus Ex far too much to not at least give it a go.
my game is already version 1.19 so this guide doesn't work for the newest version, (still after following this guide and saving Allison, then Alex says convoy run away "The Heist Fails" ) September 2024
And this why we save before every interaction and hoard 20+ save files; so we can save lives and not do a whole other play though.
LOL, there are always ways to circumvent the rules. Also on the 2nd playthrough you can kill everyone just to see what different things happens. I've always wondered what happens if you killed Otar, will Koller be happy?
@@ChengTeoh well the good ending only depend on the final decisions and how fast you can do them so you can kill anyone without a problem
Imagine what would be going through Adam's mind at the time...
"Well, it seems that time is not on my side... I'm either gonna have to save the bomb maker... or perform the heist... but maybe I could just use my phase-out-of-the-universe augs to do both of them in time!"
Lore-wise, there's no reason a detective like Jensen couldn't have figured out Stanek would be held on the top floor and he could just punch the walls to give himself handholds to climb up, effectively solving the mission in 3 minutes after getting the heist objective from Alex, but NOOOO, the top floor windows are barricaded with titanium wood and you can only punch straight through walls
why did i do that in his voice
rylog8 why even go that far he has cloaking augs, just walk in
To get this to work you need to go to the Subway through the Devali Theatre where you have a hole in the wall through which you can reach the subway.
Happy playing.
it doesnt work that way
April of 2018 version 1.19 (Steam) still working. Thanks for this! I hated not being able to do both as Adam is the badass that can pull both off.
That's great to know. I've been getting conflicting reports, but that's most likely more on consoles than on PCs.
The Fubar worked flawlessly
! PC latest update, theater + sky way
This worked, thanks! (together with what rufus said)
do you mind if I ask how you go to the subway through Dvali theater? is there a passage inside the theater or is it like around outside?
still works on pc/steam with all updates. go to theater , goto radiches office
unlock the door with the computer, go through drop to sewer follow it to door
at back of train station, go through door catch train to rescue the girl, talk to
the old man at church of gods, do the out of map thing , as in video above.
do the right replys done get the jammer. go back to train station hope over
to palisades, then the quest triggers save the girl or do the bank, sellect bank
as game dont recognise u just saved her, so u get the antidote from the vault.
update after doing the 2 missions koller will call to get your augs fixed side quest fixit
do it, but a bit later after that, koller will call again with the same mission fix it, dont go the 2nd time its a glitch, if u goto him game will freeze up perma, just do fixit quest once and ignore it when he calls u to do it again its a glitch
You're playing on Steam all you have to do is right click in your game and go back to a previous version of the game and do everything that was explained. After you rescue allison just get back to the current version of the game and voilá. Both missions succeed
Great video, I also enjoyed the end bloopers, can't wait to see how it effects the dialogue in the game.
I'm on the latest version of 1.19 : 801.0. I can confirm that this method works flawlessly. Anybody stating otherwise has messed up somewhere along the way.
Are you sure man
@@genghiskhan3709 Yes I am very much sure. I have done it in my last playthrough.
@ ı just tried it but when ı finished the debate with allison bank heist failed
@@genghiskhan3709 I'm unsure why that may be... I can't help you any further sadly
By the way, it is still working today on PC. Even though Adam landed in the right place (next to the mattress) he couldn`t move forward neither walking nor sprinting. After about 20 attempts it finally worked. Thank you for this workaround.
Thanks for sharing this around, I'm on my second playthrough and I felt so bad the first time letting Alison die like that.
Not a problem. :) Glad that you found it helpful.
Good vid but now this does not work anymore (PS4). All good up to talking to Allison, then Vegas Message comes in saying Bank was cleaned out and your too late. The Bank Heist quest fails. With Patch 1.04.
AstroGazer 1 well shit
Found this out o xbox 1 as well
Fuck...
Austin Shropshire and we came so far... ish
I wanted to dislike... but not through you. Bastards!
Fantastic work, saved me the trouble of making two playthroughs when I could still save her, "Deja Vu" style
Always glad to help out. :) It's a darn shame that there isn't a way to avoid seeing Rucker die.
I failed though, when opening the door(to allison's room,wait,IN allison's room i rather).
Cheng Teoh Then at least she could help allison.
More than likely she doesn't have the hacking augs Jensen had
She belonged to a hacking group!!!
Yeah it would have been fun if when given the choice alex does the other mission.
Here is the catch if she is the one that does the bank mission she finds the cold storage boxes with you know who in them.
If she goes after the bombmaker she could fluff it or risk blowing your cover.
I think this has been patched now. I just followed the video but after the cutscene with Allison, Alex will call you about the bank anyway.
if you are on pc,
open steam>Deus Mankind>right click properties>beta>change to the first option
that is the forst beta version.. it will work enjoy
I'm on ps4. Done the same thing.
TheOdd101 Yup, doesn't work on PS4.
Just tried it on PS4 and it worked for me. Dvali theatre shortcut + this video did the trick.
Just done it, worked fine, theatre short cut and this video
@Cheng Teoh I’ve did this twice now following the plan exactly through. The first time (about half a year ago from now, so way past 1.6) it worked just fine. But just now I tried again and even after 6 attempts I always got the call from Alex after finishing the Allison Debate. Did they fix it so it doesn’t work anymore?
Did you ever figure it out? Asking for a friend
@@guy5396 no sorry I did not. But you have good timing. I just decided to replay the game today so I’ll be there and retry it soon
Whether it's the new version of the game it's still applicable I did this on 12/12/20
tried it but always when finish debate with allison always get the call from alex
Help
did not work for me just right now, Alex called right after the cutscene when Allison gets arrested.
It has already been patched out a long time ago but there is another work around that is more involved.
they changed the game so now if you talk to allison the trigger happens anyways.
I think they patched out the option to do both missions at the same time.
Worked like a charm on PC - 14/09/16. Struggled a lot to teleport on the top crates tho. Thank you!
You must have not updated to Deus Ex patch 1.04 I did sadly and now cannot do this. :(
All of my Steam games are always up to date.
Sbiridiu there's still hope that I can save Miller if the glitch worked for you
2:15 when I tried it looked like they removed that reachable location with the patch but I managed to work on it until it worked. In this video he just looks at the crate and instantly can "grab" it. For me it was much more tough but yeah, at that time was still possible :)
After talking to Alison Alex immediately calls me, how do I avoid it?
Dvali Shortcut for the win, still works!
I had to try this a few times. Opening the door wouldn't always trigger the cutscene and Vega would catch me
Sins when you rely on only one agent to do an important job, Miller should have a plan B in case Adam held by something.
Appears to no longer work on PC - followed the guide, triggered the persuasion check, once complete it gave me the phone call and failed the heist mission.
2:48 It's an invisible "floof"!
Did you know that "floof" is also a moldable material that sticks to itself?
Weird thing happened to me, I have not got the heist mission at all as I used probably the wrong train station to get to Přepážka district. I wonder if I can get it after finishing the Confronting the bombmaker...
So have you got a call?
Just used this trick to complete my game the same way, still works in 2019!
Seriously?
If this had been an Arkane game, there would have been the option,"Find another way" & you could save both of them.
Confirmed that this doesn't work anymore, I followed the steps exactly and the heist mission still failed. I got the call after the conversation with Allison.
ps4 latest update vegas call triggers immediately after the cutscene but
poop
Poop for sure. That is the minor inconvenience of hidden online updates. Sorry that this video couldn't work for you. If there was any other ways to not fail the heist after patch I would have posted up a video.
no it's totally fine im surprised i was still able to go out of bounds hahaha i had a lot of fun like that at least lmao
September 2021, you can follow the glitch and do both the missions. A couple of other videos show how.
Still works.
You just have to get to the subway through the Davali theater
it's pretty amazing that this still works. I was expecting it to have been patched out by now.
@@ChengTeoh so did I .Only problem is that you get "The Fix" quest twice(The Neuoroplasticity callibrator one), and the second time you attempt it the game softlocks.
You get "the fix" quest again after completing it?
maybe the only problem with this game is the optimization, with my 7800x3d, 3080 ti and 32gb of ram, with all in ultra in 1080p the game barely reaches 80fps but drop to 50-45 all the time... and with dx12 enabled is crashing all the time.
Same Here
It's absolutely possible that the update did fix this.
I just came through the door? This seems like a lot of extra work.
Doesnt work anymore
Got it to work, had to move more right before dropping down @3:20
doesn't work anymore, it's been patched out for sure
Got through the door, talked to Alison, mission failed for the bank triggered immediately after cutscene.
If you loaded the update 1.04 patch, it might not work. I have not tried it out since I haven't uploaded the most recent patch. Also you have to make sure that you open the door as far as possible since the Vega conversation overlaps the door.
Since this is was patched, what is the best option? Allison or the heist?
This is no longer possible with the new update, even if you use this method. As soon as you're done talking to Allison, Vega will call you alerting you the bank convoy has already left in turn failing the bank heist.
not true for pc
*Confirmed as of 12/13/19, latest version 1.19 build 801.0: For anyone who lands here, you can do this WITHOUT downgrading your version of Mankind Divided by following the instructions at ruclips.net/video/PDhSPOAzhBE/видео.html (Thanks Fubar).
I will note, however, if you're a purist, that this will keep M12 (Heist) in your journal for the rest of your game, and will likely add a second un-completable SM08 (The Fix). If you complete The Fix once, then try to complete it again, you will get the same Koller dialogue, however, part-way through the conversation, the game will freeze on a view of Koller's feet, and you will have to load a previous save.
how do you get the Icarus dash to work in the area after you disarm the mine
It's very fiddly, but I think if you get as close to the edge of the ledge the icarus dash should be able to reach that block. It might also help if you stood up and tried the Icarus dash.
I just remote hack any mines in the game.
This has kinda ruined the game for me now, and I wish I could forget having watched this.
Either way, thank you - I rolled back the Steam version and was able to complete it.
I apologize for the spoiler. I'll make sure to make a note of possible spoilers when I make new videos.
This trick doesn't work anymore. Tried it. dialog comes on right after scene and you fail.
Yes, as noted in the video description I mentioned that the newest patch makes it so that this particular exploit isn't doable anymore. Very sad.
+Cheng Teoh Oh, so when you do both missions, it'll give you the storyline of having gone with Allison?
Actually I miss-spoke, if you do M12 and then go to Miller, Miller will be mad at you for not following the bomber lead, although you could say that you did. I haven't tried going back to Miller after saving Allison so that you could tell him about the bomber. I don't think there's a way to have Miller happy at you for doing BOTH the missions since it wasn't intended to happen that way. lol.
Nevermind, still works!
Hey do you have the save file for after you get both things ?
It looks like this has been updated. As soon as you get the diffuser, the heist dies!
Damn, that's a shame. It feels a little strange that the game would restrict the player from completing both missions. Thanks for the info.
@@ChengTeoh Wrong, it still works fine, theatre short cut and your out of bounds method done the trick
It actually works. I just tried it on my PS4 while following this. Alex hasn't called me at all about bank failure. Wait. Nevermind. Alex just called after I was talking with Allison. Bank heist still autofailed. Damn it!!.....
I think as with most games if you don't do automatic patch updates any glitch can still be done as long as you get a physical copy of the game.
I hope the updated patch doesn't affect this either.
still worked to this date(ps4)
Just tried it, did not work, I have the Icarus dash but am unable to dash from the third floor ledge to the top most generator. The 'hand' icon doesn't come up.
T breezy did it today just move a little closer to the edge and slowly scan for the hand icon
it work but before talk with allison Vega call you :(
how many times do you need to tap icarus dash?
nevermind I got it yo work, somehow I got glitched into a ledge then fell into the spot behind the yellow room with the tv screen that you entered using icarus dash.
lol, that's great.
Cheng Teoh Thanks man! i might try it again!
Best of luck! :D It's sad to know that this Deus Ex will be the last one for the foreseeable future. Does this work on Xbox One X right now in 2019? I got _DXMD_ for free with Game Pass and I got the decision, not knowing what to do, and this video caught my interest. Please *TELL ME SQUARE ENIX AND EIDOS DIDN'T PATCH IT!*
I've been told as recently as this year that it did work for certain consoles but I can't confirm that.
@@ChengTeoh I'll get back to you if and when I get a result! :)
Does not work with 1.16. Is there any way I can get this to work? Will it work if I go back to 1.03?
I think there is. It involves not triggering the conversation with Alex in which she'll give you either the option to do the Heist or get to the Bomber when you get close to the subway map. In order to avoid that particular trigger point you would need to get into the subway via the sewers, which you can get to by going through the Dvali Theater to the area where Otar and Radich will have their meeting in Mission 14. Once you get there there's a terminal that opens a door which leads to the sewers - you need to have Icarus to fall down it.
Well, I can't go back to 1.03 as it says my saved games are corrupted. So will have to try this. Is there a vid somewhere that shows this in detail?
There might be but I don't know where, sorry I couldn't help out more.
OK, this still works in 1.16. Thank you.
Wonderful, so you found the sewers alright then? Feel free to drop by again and ask me anything you are having a problem with and I'll try to reply if I can.
Very helpful thank you
My reddit forum researching youtube video watching methods of saving everyone is augmented.
i am on PC on latest version. works for me after i try it out for fun. thx! BUT, the vega message will trigger after that and the bank part will fail automatically haha.
Glad to know that it worked. Yes the game doesn't know what to do when you've already done both missions so it reverts to saying you've failed one of them. It is a little sad that no one acknowledges that you did a super-human job at solving both problems even though technically it shouldn't have been possible [ lol ]
i somehow did part of the neuroplasticity quest, i got the item but nothing more, would it still soft lock or anything?
If you happen to do both missions the game doesn't know how to resolve that fact, it will act like the last one you did never happened. You'll still get the item but characters in the game world will still have dialogue of you not doing it. Thank goodness it doesn't freeze the game to a state where it can't continue. :)
1.4.545.5. Still works. Thanks
I'm going to have to try it out since I'm getting conflicting reports. :) Glad that this helped you.
On PC or PS4? Also almost positive the patch is 1.04 and not 1.4
PC. 1.4.545.5 is a version of exe file.
Chang in Cappy's cafe in Nuka-world there are 2 perfectly preserved pies on a counter
I mean cheng
Damn those perfectly preserved pies, I'll get them one day! LOL.
The're not even in a porta diner and it doesn't count as stealing!
Wait really? pies out in the wild and not under the magically protected Porta-diner contraption? Yay!
That's right - free pies for everyone!
I find these decisions soo weird in Deus Ex because there was always a way to "SAVE BOTH" in the previous game ffs it's called DEUS EX for a reason. There is always a secret way to save both parties but in this game it's with glitches smh
God damn that opening music was suicide inducing
I did it thanks for the video
Can you still do that ?
Not really sure, but I've been told that at a certain point there was an updated patch that prevents one from doing this trick.
Cheng Teoh Yes the physics are just terrible in this game ...
Patched on PS4?
2024 aun funciona muchachos!!

@@RafaeICC yo hice lo del video y ambas misiones se mantuvieron completadas, solo no entres por la puerta y entra por el bug
it doesn't work
X1- I did everything in the vid but after dealing with Allison I got the call from Alex.
Damn it. :(
If you've recently updated to the latest patch this trick no longer works.
You could always read the title and description of the video.. -> Before patch 1.04.
I literally found out another way to do it since the PS4 patch as I was playing last night
Really? Hopefully it isn't too complicated.
Cheng Teoh same concept, but instead I used Icarus Strike as I was falling
But Still Failed the Heist after Finally getting through all the bullshit with Allison
I do apologize, it is most likely that they patched the particular work-around out. It is a darn shame that they don't give an option to do both if you wanted to.
I did the glitch without icarua dash.
A shame that the choice here is not like the final one in Human Revolution. At first it seems like a binary choice but then if you're quick enough, bam you can do both.
Missed opportunity to do the same in Mankind Divided.
You can rob the bank and on the final mission get marchenko’s kill switch and still save everyone
up with tall the gltiching
Sadly, without using glitches is impossible to obtain "no kills" trophy
1st run- easy - I saved Allison... and killed some crinimals, cops, civilians on the road - Miller died
I'm playing the 2nd run, Always easy mode.
Saving Allison was a dumbass mistake. I literally went back and did the bank heist.
It works even for ps5
Confirmed Patched on Ps4 as of latest update.
Now when you finish talking to Allison you get the call.
That is a darn shame. I've had someone on PC tell me that it still works. At least this workaround is still possible if you don't plan on playing the DLC that's coming out.
But did the PC user update to 1.04?
PC is nice because you can roll back the patch. Consoles do not have that option
PC does have advantages, but I think I'll stick with consoles. :)
This is a proven technique.
I did it just now, but it still failed me for the bank! The fuck?!? I followed everything!
Sadly, it is entirely possible that it has been patched out by now.
Cheng Teoh awwwwwwwww fek. Well, the video is still nice anyway, thx for the help!
thank you
I ALREADY SAVED THE BOMBER. OMG I COULDVE SAVED MILLER?!
If you didn't install the update patches and played with the original game it is possible. I've heard that this particular way of doing both missions have been patched out since version 1.04 came out. But I've been told that there is another way of doing both missions even after that patch.
Still work on PC 14/09/2016
So the trick still works after you updated with the newest patch 1.04?
Didn't work for me on PC after latest update, Alex calls you after Allison get's taken away
Yip doesnt work anymore, you now get the call after Allison is found.
helped me. thx ...just wonder how people get to know about this kind of shit ??accidentally ??
I think there are those who enjoy finding ways to get out of bounds in order to see how the game sections are laid out. There are very VERY interesting tricks on Deus Ex Human Revolutions that involve phasing objects through walls. Also in most games there is points where getting out-of-bounds is simply accomplished by what is called a cover-breach.
Still works on PS4.
I think as long as you install using the disc and don't do an update it should work. :)
*****
If the DLC is as big as it was for HR, that could go a long way to fixing it.
(I wish we got Quinn back, Alex was kinda boring to me, and useless for the most part of the game, too.)
I feel like MD has great ideas.
I do hope the DLCs give us some satisfaction.
I take it back it did not work, it did not work.
It has most likely been patched out. This video was for those who have the disc and didn't update the game with the latest patch.
