I believe it was originally written for string quartet, arranged for wind band, then sax quartet, then clarinet quartet. Arrangements by Mackey. Edit: it’s possible they moved around some parts in the sax quartet as a baseline and moved around some parts for this. For instance the soprano starts in that arrangement.
@@mitchparker6319 I checked his web site; looks like you were right that it was originally for string quartet/string orch, then came an arrangement for band, then one for sax quartet, then clarinet quartet, and most recently an "adaptable" SATB version. (I find it strange to think of it on strings... Maybe that influenced the title! ;-) )
