~ Hoddle Duo is a collaboration between pianists Jordan Yeates and Joyce Chahine, named in tribute after Robert Hoddle, the architect behind Melbourne’s CBD grid design. Jordan and Joyce convened on their first week of university and the pair quickly became that of close friendship and musical exploration. Having both graduated from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, they participated in several Piano Duo and Duet competitions during their time, and won the 2015 first prize with their Brahms’ Hungarian Dances. Guided by Igor Machlak and Olga Kharitinova, the duo have always been driven by the pure enjoyment of playing together and exploring incredible piano repertoire with audiences always in mind.
