I am really enjoying Matchbox 5-packs (though I did email you an interesting observation on them recently). Regarding this video, when I saw that Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint in blue inside the new Autobahn Express V 5-pack I was very surprised because I vividly recalled you telling this story about the white and red being the only official colours that were approved by Alfa Romeo. While it could bug me that this blue variation may not be historically accurate, I just tell myself that there had to be a few owners over the years who ultimately repainted their Alfa in a non-factory colour! I was also delighted to see the full front, rear and side decals on the Audi eTron Polizei release. Thanks for this Matchbox Storytime my friend =)
Might I just point out, John, that Tyrone of Building the Ultimate Matchbox Collection did the Tesla 5-pack and pointed out that Matchbox sneaked different factory plates on the rears of the ones in the 5-pack from the factory plates on the singles :-) Also, I've found that the 5-pack cardboard unsticks far more cleanly at the top than the sides; it takes some finagling with your fingers, but it will open that way :-)
Great Video Lamley, I love When you do History on matchbox, Like old school Lamley Videos used to watch back in 2017-2019. Can You do the Story on the Matchbox Austin Mini Van? You said In a Video once you would do a very interesting story on the casting.
Loved it man. From looking back into the history of Matchbox, hearing interesting and fun stories, your opinions on the models throughout the years which I find I continually agree with, and the enthusiasm you bring the the conversation, this video had it all. Whether it’s videos like this or whatever else you want to do, I’ll continue to hang onto your every video like some kind of parasitic mammalian wild animal. Thank you John!
Great stories even if some is repeated, also seeing more Ryu designs/molds is always great-he definitely left his mark on small diecast cars. Gonna have to find both 5packs as the japanese truck eould be cool for a clean repaint and the polizi car looks the part for dioramas and such as everyday cars. Recently i found a matchbox LS400 lexus first time ever seeing one (must of got lucky) love the older everyday car you see on the road rather then just always a supercar
Only on certain parts of the Autobahn there is no speed limit. Where there is a speed limit cameras are installed that take a picture of anyone who drives too fast and you get your speeding ticket in the mail. Great set though. hope it shows up here soemtimes.
Why is it vertical…? ugh. Blue, this isn’t YT shorts or TikTok! Your channel, do what you want, but this make it dreadful to watch for us desktop/TV users.😭
Yeah this was an experiment with showcasing the 5-packs. For phone users it’s great, but I feel for you computer/tv watchers. Don’t worry, all my other videos will remain horizontal. I might keep doing this for 5-packs though…
@@lamleygroup 5-pack or not, it's unwatchable. In my opinion, youtube is for dedicated audiences more or less. Phone users have their tiktok. That's my boiled down opinion, but it doesn't matter. I simply won't watch any more vertical or advertising videos.

Looks like there was a mix up with the order of the japan 5 pack. Also i always open 5 packs from the top with a blade. it's super easy and no tears.

The porche is a great casting . Last one I call her Butter scotch
To open the 5 packs cleanly, tear off the hanger tag. It's actually perforated where it meets the box at the back. Then they slide easily out the top.
Another great show. I really enjoyed watching it. The "ugliest" Porsche 911 GT3 from your collection is the toughest one to get.

Ugh! Open 5 packs from the top- you'll see there is a perforation on the hangar side that once perforated allows you to open the top like a box.
Ive been trying to find the white Mazda3 but haven't been able to find it in stores.
