- Friends because RUclips didn't allow me to switch to horizontal orientation, I had to stream vertically. So I edited it quickly to give you a vertical way to view. Thanks for understanding.
Mainlines: 1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto, Maserati MC12, 1966 Chevy Chevelle Wagon, '95 BMW 318i, 1970 Citroen 2CV (Yes!), 2023 BMW M2 and Land Cruiser 78.
Moving Parts: VW iD Buzz, 2024 Charger Daytona, 2023 Toyota Century, 2024 Maserati GT Folgore, '91 Mitsubishi Pajero, Alpha Wolf, 1963 Ford Thunderbirid, Rover SD1 and '94 Ford F-150 SVT.
Collectors: Jaguar XJ229, 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, BMW 850i.
Lots of cool models coing out from Matchbox in 2025. Thanks for the sneak peak Presentation Lamley.
07 Ford Excursion is underrated 😅
yep
So much to look forward to! It really feels like they’re continuing to give lots of love to adult collectors!
It's always exciting to see new models thanks!
absolutely in love with what matchbox is doing now
Matchbox is making some awesome models 👏🤩👏😆. I can't wait for these models to come out.
So super hyped for all the amazing cars, matchbox are going to be fire in 2025!
That Pajero/Montero, SD1, 2CV, Golf Cabriolet, Land Cruiser looks cool.
I'm so excited they're finally making the Ford Maverick! I drive one myself and picked up the Hot Wheels Custom version yesterday. It'll be nice to have a clean, stock one to go with it. Not only that but also feature on opening hood! I was a bit underwhelmed at first but once I saw the Maverick, I immediately cheered in excitement!
I really wish that Matchbox would make a light bar for the 1978 Dodge Monaco Police Car that resembled the light bar that was on the Maisto/Tonka 1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 9C3 police car, as I feel like that would be a better fit for that car. Doing that one little retool to the car would make it look infinitely better, plus Matchbox has not had a two-toned light bar for any of their police cars since the 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, which was their biggest selling model ever, and, by tapping into that, they would have a bigger hit on their hands.
Looking forward to that MBX Construction 5 Pack for 2025.
Can't wait for some of the new Matchbox police vehicles to be released later this year and next year 6:10 as well as the eight pack exclusive 2015 Ram 1500 police truck with the matching deco on the Ford Police Interceptors (both the Sedan and the '16 Utility) and 2:49 the updated 2023 Dodge Charger Pursuit! Definitely need an upgrade from the '12 Dodge Charger Pursuit! All around, amazing Livestream!
alpha wolf looks sick been looking forward to that
Thank you as always, Lamley for the Presentation.
Lots of great models coming out. Finally utilizing the BMW and Lexus license properly. with the M2, 316i, 850i, GX and LC500 respectively. Hope to see the return of the GS430 in the line this year.
Acura Integra. A proper one, clearly superior than Hot Wheels. Please do the RSX Type S or the Integra Type R DC5 in the future to compliment this.
An Acura in the line would open up other Acura models.
Maserati is a surprise, with the MC-12 and Gran Turismo. Hope we can see the Ghibli, Quattroporte, Grecale, Mexico, Sebring, 3500 in the future.
Good use of the Porsche license with the Dakar and 718 Spyder RS. Hope to get classic Porsches in the future.
Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon - A sleeper, excellent choice.
More Toyota models, 2024 Tacoma, RAV4, Land Cruiser 70 Series! The Century is a wow.
Mitsubishi Pajero - Hot Wheels did the Evolution version, Matchbox will do the Regular one. I am looking forward to this. I hope Matchbox does other Mitsubishi cars, Eclipse, Lancer Evolutions, Diamante, Galant, Starion
Jaguar XJ220. Not just the regular one, but the TWR.
Honda Accord - Interesting choice, I like it, would picture this in Hot Wheels, but Matchbox, let's see how they execute.
Citroen 2CV - Finally a Citroen that is NOT electric. Iconic French car.
Chevy Chevelle Wagon - A stunning muscle wagon. Matchbox executes Wagons pretty well.
A 1959 Cadillac on the Collector range with the iconic fintail tailights.
Rover SD1 Vitesse - At long last, we'll have this.
Ford Excursion. Matchbox has released some SUVs in recent years, all have been executed perfectly. I can expect the same for this one.
Alfa Romeo Duetto - Another license put to good use. We've had the newer Alfa Romeo's. Now it's time for the Classics. They can do more here.
VW Golf Cabriolet - A different Golf model. Matchbox doesn't just do a regular Golf, we've had a Golf Country, now a Cabriolet. Waiting for an R in the line or a Wagon.
My biggest complaint here is this:
EV's are peg warmers. I still cannot fathom why Matchbox keeps doing a significant number of models of this kind. I know it's part of their direction
but try to CUT BACK PLEASE. From where I live, these are left behind and clogging the pegs. Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't EV sales declining?
Some manufacturers are cancelling EV projects and focusing more on Hybrids such as Toyota. I don't mind EV's if maybe a couple,
but 14 this year is OVERKILL.
It was through this year's Line Preview, that I found out that certain models are actually EV's, such as the Opel Astra, released in 2024 on the Basic Range.
It was only labelled as "2022 Opel Astra". It will appear as part of the 2025 5-Pack Electric Drivers.
A ton of missed opportunities because of this pathetic EV Push. Balance the models. Do a good mix covering all bases.
BMW i Models - BMW has a ton of cars worthy of a Matchbox treatment. M6, X5M, X3, M8, 90's 7 Series, 80's BMW's
Renault Megane E-Tech could have been Megane RS, Clio V6/RS, Koleos, Laguna, Espace
Mercedes-Benz G580 with EQ Technology could have been the G63 AMG
Volkswagen Golf GTE could have been the Golf R
Cadillac Lyric Could have been a CTS-V, ATS-V, 1998-2004 Seville, XT-6. Heck even if they did the Catera, I'd be happy.
Nissan Ariya Pole to Pole - Come on, you already have the regular Ariya on the Moving Parts Line. Could have been a different Nissan Model or let alone, Infiniti.
Ford Explorer BEV - Could have been a Focus RS (MK.2), Falcon, 1988 Probe, 1992-1995 Taurus SHO.
They could also utilize the Lincoln Brand which has a ton of models Navigator, Corsair, Town Car, 2017-2020 Continental, Aviator.
Over the years, Matchbox has introduced EV's in small numbers but since moving into the direction of more EV's on the range, Matchbox currently has a pool of 48 EV's. In 2025, Matchbox is introducing 14 New EV Models, 15 if we will include the BMW 7 Series, if it will be named i7.
By the end of the year, it would have been already 63/64.
For everyone's appreciation, I have listed down the current EV models active on the Range. Note that the push for more EV's was made in 2021/2022. Note that there are no Hybrids here.

No one wants hybrids either, as they will always desire ICE powered vehicles.
Don 't hou love All those typical EV haters? Why do all modelcars always have to be the top of the line ones? I mean what's wrong with a normal diesel or base petrol engine? Or if the most sold versions are in real the electric or PHEV's or maybe even the normal hybrid ones then, at least in my opion, it's only logical that they produce those ones!
@@dennissmit3119 EV's are not interesting to me. Hybrids/Hydrogen are the most that will interest me. EV's other than being weirdly styled or designed, it just does not appeal to me. Overall cost of owning and maintaining one. I test drove one at a car show, a Hyundai Ioniq 5 and it just did not excite me. It's a different experience, but it did not give me that sense of enjoyment. My fellow group of collectors share this sentiment and we've raised this to the Matchbox Team.
We have a bunch of Mustang Mach-E's, Teslas (All 4), Citroen Ami's, Jeep Avengers, LEVC Taxi's still clogging the pegs here, even the Electric Drivers 5 Packs since 2022. Matchbox can create them as this is part of the Automotive industry but 15 is too much. At the rate they're going, they could create an entire line of 100 of simply EV's.
Update: Based on Lamley's latest video, another car which was not introduced during the Preview/Gathering is the Cupra Tavascan, another electric car. It was identified by people on the video, Lamley mistook it as a Prius.
There are many other cars out there that can be made. They have the licenses from the best brands, utilize them properly. Take for instance, a Minivan. Matchbox hasn't had one when Hot Wheels has had a couple of these such as the Honda Odyssey or Chrysler Pacifica. If they're really pushing this Eco. Where's the Hybrids and Hydrogen cars? Honda Insight, Toyota Mirai??
Prius Prime & Golf GTE is a PHEV, technically a hybrid
That MC12 is gonna be the best mainline of the year. The xj220s TWR is unbelievable
I have the old one from hot Wheels
@@daki7070yeah hw looks better the mb side windows are too small ..why the 2004 why not the latest car?😢
Will will be new packaging art in 2025
Yes please. I hate the cheap recycled cardboard especially the moving parts and premium sets. Like people are spending $5 and they use recycled paper. Like please, just use that for your high volume mainlines, NOT for the moving parts or premium. Makes it feel cheap and worthless when the cardboard looks like that. Even Hot wheels does not use that kinda of cardboard even for their mainlines.
Needs new packaging, most of it's too tight and is damaging the roof of the car...
Probably, they haven’t changed it since 2021
@@abbiravindhran8424all about esg scores😢
Interesting that the Toyota Century is gonna be in Matchbox.
Tomica will always have the best Century castings
@@johnnymichael1804 hopefully someone is gonna do a comparison eventually, but to me, I'll take both.
@@johnnymichael1804 tomica sometimes is too "child friendly"...
@@xraider927 definitely gonna be an interesting casting
@@johnnymichael1804majorette 2nd to best then mb😢
Thanks so much for your livestream once again, John!
I'm looking forward to that Chevelle wagon
yes
Thanks. I am looking forward to some of them already.
I see their planning to have the Citroen 2CV For Next year's Matchbox Castings, Hope they have one in Blue like Curt Henderson's 2CV from the Movie American Graffiti.
I think all the new castings look great for 2025!
My favorite one is the jaguar e type for the 2025 showroom set
Really wish mattel would get some Korean licensing.
So much fire coming out of HMG that matchbox/ hot wheels could be doing
Some chinese licesing
@@Scorbunny_Loquendero_2000 or a Rolls-Royce licensing. That would be a killing move as no one among Hot Wheels, Matchbox or Majorette did it yet
New MG models could indeed be present.
And why not a Hongqi model like the H9 sedan ?
This brand is unknown outside of China
@@daki7070Rolls-Royce Phantom 7 planned for 1998 but got canned!😢
@@julianwalls1077 impossible. The Rolls-Royce Phantom 7 started in 2003 and ended around 2012.
Probably a model of the time.
Yes I can’t wait it’s getting better and better
Oooooo Maserati are back🫣👀👀
yep
That Alfa is beautiful!
Crazy excited for the wire wheel! Gonna open up so many unique casting options!
I like that they are redoing some of the old castings. I would like to see a retool of the 97 ford probe gts, 88 Ford Thunderbird turbo coupe. And 99 eclipse GSX.
I like to see those cars as well it seems we ask for things and they Ignore the fans what we want
i'm looking forward to that Morgan 3-Wheeler next year. just got the Morgan Plus Four yesterday and i would love to add another Morgan model to my collection.
Love the SD1 Vitesse
So these Ev cars can sit on the pegs for months like this year's cars sitting at Walmart ,Dollar trees and Dollar general for 6 months or more. Plus can you ever make a new American fire engine from seagrave or pierce
Or american lafrance
Why won't real life vehicle manufacturers take the hint and realize that no one wants EVs?
Not in my city toy shops. It's usually fantasy casting or unwanted model that are here. There is a bin from last year in one toy shop Downtown.
I collect real cars and a few Fantasy casting that stay close of a real car ( like the Heavy Hitcher from hot Wheels or the city bus from ) Matchbox
As someone who has never hated EVs yall don’t make any sense, I will be collecting them.
Yeah, matchbox does not have much utility cars based on real cars. That’s why I’m excited for that GMC.
Thank you for the presentation. Always a pleasure to watch it. 2025 looks ok, but there are again too many SUVs, not many four door sedans, buses and trucks, other than the school bus and the Scania. SB again has models that have previously been issued: C-130 (1989) and RB. Overall, the 2025 line up is cool, fine, but could have been slightly better with a 2022 S-class Mercedes, a Lotus, one intercity bus/ coach and a few helicopters and airplanes from SB. And Convoys...?
That 172 and the AC-130 ❤
yesss
Crap ton of new nice looking models! Definitely want to get my hands on the new working rigs ARFF truck! Hope to see more photos of it soon!
Can’t wait for that RAV4!
Being from the UK, the rover sd1, land rover defender, jaguar xj220 and etype, along with the BMW 850 were the highlights for me. Have to say Matchbox as whole have really upped their game.
I think the cars I'm looking forward to most are the Morgan cyclecar and the stylish Alfa Romeo Duetto! Probably the neatest of the lot! We've certainly needed more microcars in this scale and the Morgan's a fine choice!
Wow can't wait for the 1990 Honda Accord love it also would love to see them make a Nissan 200SX I do have one but want an updated version and a Dodge Spirit R/T down the road
Okay the matchbox Acura Integra looks better then the hot wheels one so might have to hoard a lot t that f them 😮
Yay! 2023 Ford Maverick!
Let's go! Kinda forgot how cool Matchbox is.
PSYCHED for the Maverick with an opening hood. I was hoping they'd do a mainline version but Moving Parts is even better.
Matchbox must have heard me when i said i hope they add the Rav4 to their mainline suv lineup😅 finally 👏🏽
Yeah, alot of Honda's got rebadged as Acuras here in the US. I don't know if the Euro Integra had the same front end as the one shown, but that is the USDM Front end that we got, which to me was a huge downgrade from the JDM version.
I agree with you on the BMW thing. They are becoming the car of poor people who are trying to look like they have money, at least here where I live.
Matchbox has piss poor Distribution as you can't find them anywhere... One box of matchbox , for every fifteen Boxes of hot wheels at walmart....
Coverage looked fine to me, Thx for posting! Did not see 1972 Opel Manta yet... next year I guess.
Lookitup if you don't know of it - would be a great addition!
I’m really looking forward to the 2024 BMW 7-Series, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon, the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Wagon, and the 1958 Chevrolet Impala!
I need the magnificent Rover SD1
Que belleza de piezas ❤
Very cool video lamley group
Tacoma, Mercedes wagon, excursion here
Wrote this on the earlier post. May have been missed. I can't wait for the 2024 cars to start showing up near me. Maybe some month soon. Anyone need the 2022 gray Citroen Ami, there are about 125 hanging on pegs at various stores around here. Plenty of 2023 green Road Rollers, too!
Its as clear as day, matchbox collectors prefer the old school models as opposed to the modern electric vehicles.. Passion for detail and good craftmanship are things you simply dont get with modern cars.
I can’t wait for the Duetto and 2CV!
Awesome. See you at the toy show tomorrow.
There are stores here that haven't gotten new cases in months because they are full of leftover EVs and euro cars.
Maserati MC12 is my favorite.
Matchbox should make a Honda Fuya-Jo
Matchbox bringing out the 1st-gen Lightning and Excursion before Hot Wheels can steal their thunder.
Citroën 😍
Some people dont know they can turn their phones shutter sound off
MC12 hype! Praying it’s better than the Hot Wheels. No mirrors is already a killer. 💙
They always are haha
@@Jeffersom - That old Hot Wheels from ‘05 was pretty good though. Not that I gonna like either. Will probably just buy a 1:43 scale if I care enough, lol.
Should have got the 1/18 Hot wheels version. Worth so much now.
Buy the bbr models 1/64 one if you really like the mc12
@@IdontKnow-jt2oz - Will look into that, thanks.
Did I hear a NEW WHEEL is being worked on???
I love matchbox but you cant find the damn things in the stores at all... They keep sending the same moving parts over and over and it floods the market in that little store and then they think they're not selling , so they don't send no more
looks good , i wish for more new mainline though theyd do more trucks, buses, construction vehicles kindof still seems more of cars, suvs etc still, but im liking what im seeing at least it seems more truck/other new models for mainline then last years for new models, glad to see working rigs continuing it is a favorite line of mine, but what about convoys? hitch n haul also, but deffintalley convoys i would love to always see convoys every year, i saw a pic of a car carrier on there instagram so maybe some things such as certain lines they just dont put in there presentation? anyway keep up the great work as always matchbox your my favorite as you have so much to offer in terms of what i like and thats trucks, buses, contstruction equipment glad to see you guys keep it real , although hotwheels does some you guys just hit it out the park with offering it more, also that hogwarts train looks cook i wonder if thats goin to be like a hitch n haul or part of some set?
The E63 amg wagon was a welcomed surprise.
And that Eqb was supposed to come in 2024 mix lot
G63 amg 6x6 is coming back next year ( 4 months )
The 2023 Century is nice as the only one available is from Tomica
Rover sd1 vitesse ?
They are truly ahead again for next line up of the end of year and the next one
And finally a GranTurismo in it's folgore version.
I'm glad i did not quit collecting toy cars.
Lots of new stuff i want for the next months.
I did not even finished my 2024 "get" list.
Can’t wait for the Integra Type R
I kind of wish that was an Alfa Romeo Veloci Spyder instead of the Duetto
I hope they make a chevy express van and i cant wait to finally see the mbx city life 5 pack with the chevy caprice and the ford econoline van
bmw heavy which i love but i do miss ferrari! i wish matchbox would make their models again it used to be a number 75 in the past.
Wow Wow cannot wait until 2025
Am i crazy or is that a train 14:57
Hogwarts Express
Its almost like they picked the most unethusiastic presenter who flipped through the entire slides in 10 minutes, especially the last couple slides that were up for 3 seconds. "Heres the Ford Thunderbird, with the opening......... hood?" Let me look back to the cars in the cases right next to me so I'm sure what my team is working on.
I worked there & it can get down to the last minute on what does what sometimes. I know it’s no excuse but rolling these & presentations out takes a ton of time
I would buy an electric vehicle just to rip out the electric stuff and to put in a good old-school V8 ICE under the hood and to make the envirotards mad.
Looking forward to the new charger pursuit and 2024 daytona, the scania fire truck, ford excursion, Maserati Mc12, and Citroen 2cv. Hopefully mbx will do new fire trucks from Pierce, Seagrave or Mack soon. Well overdue for new emergency vehicles in the lineup! A concrete pump truck would be awesome in the real working rigs line. What happened to the convoys?
I guess matchbox is not interested in my $. Although I will over Indulge in the 1994 ford lightning. Matchbox needs do go old school flying bug or mini haha . Bring back some old models for us real collectors.
I don't see any old-school muscle cars from Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, or the more obscure muscle cars like the Buick Tempest, Buick Wildcat, Buick T-37, Buick 500, etc.
Am I the only one hype for the Moving Parts Pajero?!
I do as well...
@@xraider927 Same here
That red lightning 😬
No more MBX fantasy cars that clog the pegs please. I'm looking at you Push N Puller.
Prepare for hunting
Guhhhh the Maserati
Nice Chevelle Wagon and Red Series C10 💪🏼
❤
If they don’t give that eqb this time like 2024 ima get angry at matchbox
🆒️
3:19 '15 E63 Wagon? Count me in!
Still disappointed that there’s no new old Pontiac’s in the Matchbox line up!
Let’s get that Maverick out ASAP
Hoply matchbox come the set to Indonesia with chase car. Because 2024 we don't have it.
Prob odd man out, but would love to get one of the Alpha Motors Wolf models. I also hope that company actually makes it to 1:1 production. I really appreciate their design language.
I hope matchbox makes a toyota camry.
Why isn't new BMW M2 a HW? All the M cars, even stock, weren't in Matchbox for a reason...
Matchbox have covered the Indiana Jones and Harry Potter Franchise, will James Bond be next starting with the yellow 2CV.
Would be nice to see some new stuff like early 90's Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 door, Chevy Beretta/ Cavalier Z24, Chevy Lumina Eurosport, Pontiac Grandprix 2 door, Grand Am Gt, 1994 Ford Thunderbird or Mercury Cougar, 1993 Ford Escort Gt coupe, 1994 Ford Taurus SHO, bring back out the Ford Probe casting wich would be nice to see both gens, 1990 Nissan Maxima, 1990 Nissan Stanza, 1993 Nissan Altima, 1991 Acura Legend, 1988 Honda Accord, 1999 Honda Accord, 1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2000 Lincoln LS, 1996 Chevy Blazer 4 door, 1998 Ford Explorer 4 door and 2 door sport, 1999 Dodge Durango, 1994 Nissan Quest or Mercury Villager, 1992 Toyota Camry, 1998 Toyota 4 Runner, 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe
God dang it the Matchbox Collector Honda Accord is 4 years earlier than my car (which is a 1994) really a shame no one has made a 1994 Honda Accord (be it sedan or Hatchback or Coupe like my car is). Maybe y'all could recommend making that for a 2026 Matchbox car.
I’m excited for a 1990 Accord even though I used to own a 94 coupe and so only snagging the 96 accord from blvd and team transport is the best we can do right now
At the end of the video in the last show case.... can someone confirm, if we will see a Golf III as a special edition "Harlekin" in a acryl case? That would be awesome!!
I am looking forward to the the Citroen 2CV, Golf I Convertible, Rover SD1, Chevy Impala, Alfa Romeo Duetto, Mitsubishi Pajero and Ford Thunderbird.
I hope they do the new Vanquish
I would REALLY like to see a blue tesla model y
No Vinfast and no chinese cars
