- What's cabinet could possibly match the size and eye catching color of a Neo Geo Big Red? Capcom answered in a gargantuan way with their own Big Blue. In this first video we'll take a quick look and overview of this seven foot tall arcade machine from Capcom that is currently housing X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

Nice Capcom Big Blue! It's funny that youve been looking for one of those because I've been searching for an SNK MvS arcade after I restored my Capcom G1 Big Blue.
I remember watching your first video about the Arcade1Up and hating what you were saying about it. I always wanted an arcade and started with A1U. Then you said something that has stuck with me when it comes to owning arcades in another video.
"Theres just somethings you can not emulate when it comes to an arcade experience"
Awesome video, you've completely turned me around when it comes to original hardware vs emulated software.
Nice! The concept of Big Red & Big Blue together again didn’t hit me until I had moved it in. It was kind of a neat moment. You’ll experience that soon enough it sounds, good luck hunting your Neo.
Thanks for sharing that piece about the A1Ups. That video is for sure incendiary and I never really intended it to be. I tried to explain how different and special arcade collecting is and can be and why once you’ve experienced that magic nothing else really satisfies but the real deal. There are great compromises for budget and space for sure. I totally understand that both of those things are and will be huge factors for people. It was probably just the wrong moment and way for me to try and sell the love of something else. I’m glad it wasn’t too off putting and that you not only stick around, but allowed your interest to expand and discover these true memory generating relics of our youth. Thanks for sharing that experience and story, and good luck on your quest.
Whoa SUPER NICE!! You make me want to make bad financial decisions lol
Right!? Cabs are tough like that because you likely aren’t planning on buying but when they pop up it’s grab em or they’re gone. It kind of sucks.
ha ha....
Lol just about
HEARING THE INTRO PLAY THRU THOSE SPEAKERS REALLY DID GIVE ME A NOSTALGIC FLASHBACK BACK TO THE 90S FOR A SECOND HAHA
=)
You know it’s funny, I wired up the audio for a direct capture and I didn’t like it near as much as the audio coming through the air and getting picked up in a more analog way by my Rode mic. Felt more natural. Glad you enjoyed that part.
I ENJOYED IT ALL ESPECIALLY THE RED LED LIGHT SHINING THRU THE CABINET MAKING A WARM GLOW. ITS VERY HARD TO RECAPTURE THE MAGICAL FEELING OF OLD ARCADES THESE DAYS, ITS ALMOST LIKE A PAST LIFE LOL.
=)
& YEAH, NOTHING BEATS A TMNT ARCADE “COWABUNGA!!!” COMING THRU THE AIR WAVES.
I think it's perfect as it is, as an X-Men VS Street Fighter cab! Champion Edition is so common, and doesn't even have Cammy in it!
I think at this point I’m probably leaning towards that.
Congrats! The Capcom CPS2 is my favorite arcade board and owning one of these blue cabs is a dream of mine. X-Men vs SF is my favorite of the vs games.
I'll admit I kind of checked out a little on the vs. series until CvS2, but I do love the sprite art work and style on all of these CPS2 games.
Not gonna lie, I was afraid that X-Men vs. SF board was gonna be dead, given how everything looked inside the cabinet, haha. Love this game for how raw/loose it is compared to the later Vs. games. Congrats on the pickup and looking forward to the eventual refurbishing video!
Yeah, I don't know how the battery hasn't died yet. I was thinking of unloading it but I may save it as a backup should anything ever go wrong with the current Darksoft setup.
As a big CAPCOM fan... This is an absolute pleasure to me.
Awesome video brother. I'm enjoying your recent frequency of uploads... Keep it up!
Thanks Dylan!
That Sound.. Amazing man. Looking forward to part 2! Cheers!
Thanks man, should be a quicker turnaround than Virtua Racing!
Oh man that is badass! That was a great video
Thanks Corey!
Very impressive video. I am especially grateful for how in-depth you are regarding the internal components of these arcade machines. When you mentioned the fact that you might possibly "stretch" the image to suit the desired effect, you also displayed footage of the insides of the cabinet showing where the stretching of image would be adjusted. Those internal shots are very hard to come across IMO and I genuinely appreciate how you care to show these details to your subscribers. Thank you for your video, as I enjoy each and every one of yours thus far.
Stay healthy. God bless!
I try to do what I can while appealing to casual viewers as well as people who may be a little more hardcore. Thanks for the kind words.
Beautiful! I was fortunate i could see both here in Brazil. Yours are in mint condition. Congrats!
They are in really good shape honestly. Probably the best two machines I have condition wise tbh.
I love the sound from those cabs, hits you right in the eyeballs!
The audio is pretty glorious, I don’t mind!
Great video for the arcade fans out there. So grateful for the RUclipsrs like yourself putting out such polished content
Thanks man. It’s always a balancing act of what will resonate with casual fans as well as the more hardcore. I try to straddle that line often.
Man, having a SF2CE machine and a Neo Geo multicab with Samurai Shodown 2 and World Heroes 2 would be my Holy Grail
You’d certainly have little need for any other fighting games!
Great pickup! The cabinet looks like it is in really nice condition. Thanks for sharing this with us. I love X-Men Vs Street Fighter, so I would keep that marquee in the cab.
Seems to be a lot of love for X-Men vs. SF. Maybe that was just me who gravitated away from the series at that point. I was doing my silent protest of not playing anything else SF related until they actually gave me SF3.
you've got a hard work ahead. Good luck with that awesome cabinet.
Shouldn’t be too bad really, just some elbow grease and it’ll be mostly good by this weekend.
Wow 👀 Congrats! Great pick up! Enjoy!
Thanks man!
Looking and sounding fantastic man :)
Thanks man, the audio is truly the gem of this unit.
Looks great! Congrats 😁👍
Thanks man! Another 90s memory captured and added to the time capsule.
Sweet cab!! So many fond memories and quarters gone on that game... I just gonna say I'd keep the stock marquee because it's so epic. Thanks for taking me back with this video!
Yeah so many people have commented to just keep things as is. I have to say that I like it more than I expected and it’s in great shape, which is why I was torn.
@@ScarletSprites I'd definitely like to see an update video after its all cleaned up and some LEDs behind that marquee...
Big Blue!!! One of the arcades in one of my local malls had one of these when I was child. These were great! I played so many Capcom fighting games on this with my friends. The sounds and picture quality was just sublime.
Yeah, when I was out and about I'd always look for the Big Blues to play Champion Edition on. I know places often charged more to play on these than the other Dynamos, but I didn't care. The audio is just amazingly good for it's time.
Congrats on your New Cabinet She looks Beautiful
Thanks man, I’m pretty happy with it!
Dang dude! Congrats on the find! She's a beauty.
I hope one day to afford some of these to work on myself!
It’s such a slippery slope. I had this plan of getting the Neo Geo and that was it. But then you start learning stuff and scouting for deals and...mayhem. You’ll get there, all it takes is the itch and then the nonsense unravels.
@@ScarletSprites good to know, considering that's my exact plan haha.
Watching the coin slot led bulb light up was uncommonly soothing. I can’t wait to see you mack this thing out. It’s beautiful. And this video was just overall fantastic with SF music mixes like I like. I bet the audio on that cabinet is nutbust inducing. And if you thumbed this video down, you’re a loser, you’re not a real gamer and your mother doesn’t want you.
Thanks man! The only real issue I could run into is wiring the CPS1 boards up that don’t have Q*Sound and also use a different kick harness than CPS2. I have some ideas, but I don’t think there are any out of the box products to help with that. Worst case I get lazy and this is “only” CPS2/3 for a while.
Great work brother !! I really enjoyed watching the video, especially the big red at the begining :)
Thanks man! At some point I actually need to do a video on the Big Red too.
@@ScarletSprites You really should consider making that video for the legendary big red, i cant wait :D
Great looking cab!!
Thanks man!
Congratulations on getting a big blue! I'm actually getting my first MVS-4 upright today. I think any Capcom marquee of your choice will look nice but you can never go wrong with the one on your shirt.
Awesome, congrats on that cab! I think I’m leaning towards keeping the existing marquee and just swapping out the light for LED.
Wow! Love it!
Thanks man, I do as well.
Oh that does it!! i'm coming over to Scarlet's pad to enjoy all these great games and units he has in his pad. 8^)
Anthony..
Bring your quarters!
Living the dream & a Green Lantern hat to boot!!! 😍😍😍
The hat was a mistake. I forgot about the green on it and then needed to green screen. Had to patch that up while editing but I don’t think anyone else really notified or cared.
Looks sweet, I too would swap the marquee over to something street fighter II related.
Its exactly that... big red VS big blue... nobody can win... peace today for both and immortal ✌️🕹 nice arcade machine and nice review like any time!
Perhaps you can let see us your arcade machine room next time 🙂
Thanks man! Once I clean up this weekend (and bring in two more machines) I plan on doing a walk through of what things look like in the basement.
This was so good!
Thanks Linda!
This is awesome! Congratulations on getting another great cabinet. To me, the big blue represents the “greatest” Street Fighter game that still has a strong following: ST! I always loved the control panel with the map, but I’m sure you will come up with something nice regardless.
I may just leave it as is. The world map has grown on me though and people are readily producing them
Gorgeous cab! Gotta love all the TLC that often comes with getting a new cabinet! I hope to add X-Men vs Street Fighter to my CPS2 collection some day! Focusing on Atomiswave for the time being.
I netboot Atomiswave to the Naomi, but I don’t own any original hardware. Kudos for working on that cool system. I really like Dolphin Blue.
Absolutely wonderful. Good find. I'd like to see you play The Power Fighters on there.
I'm glad you're well.
Oh wow, that’s a lesser known/talked about one. I’ll definitely keep that in mind though. Thanks for checking this out today, glad you’re well too man!
Wow. You lucky SOB!!!! I’d love to get my hands on a cab like that. I’m jealous. But I can’t complain. I recently picked up a nice Sega Outrun ❤️ I would go with a champion edition theme myself. But I’m bias because that was the Capcom game of my generation I feel. In high school friends would meet at the local pool hall and grocery store of all places to play it. It even got a ton of play in the arcade at Dorney Park. We all eventually got it for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. But it just wasn’t the same as playing it on an original arcade cabinet. And now you have a big blue of all things. Great score man. 👍🏼👍🏼
Totally agree on CE, I prefer it to any other version of SF. As a few others noted this isn’t the “correct” version of Big Blue for CE but I still wouldn’t mind that for the theme. Seeing how good of shape the marquee and cp are in though, I may just leave it as is. Certainly cheaper too! It’s been ages since I’ve been to Dorney & Wildwater Kingdom. I used to like the slides and Pepsi Aqua Blast back in the day.
Amazing pick up my dude. You probably got it for a great price, I bet. Congrats! 🍻
It was an ok price, if being honest. Hard to grab these locally because they are usually gone in the first hour or so. I had to pay to get this one shipped so that cost me.
@@ScarletSprites congrats on the pick up and thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more vids showing this beast.
If I’m gonna have a Big Red and a Big Blue in my home,
I want both cabinets to be jam-packed with every game.
Such as the *NEO•GEO MVS 150-IN-1*
and the *CP SYSTEM 80-IN-1*
It’s a beauty! Congrats man, it’s got the potential to be the ‘jewel in the crown’ of your arcade machine collection. Looks to be in good shape but can’t wait to see the finished product after it’s been refurbished. As for the marquee/theme I would personally stick with one of the crossover fighters (Marvel vs Capcom, X Men vs Street Fighter or Marvel vs Street Fighter) - perhaps not quite as iconic as SF2 etc but better potential with the character artwork IMO!
I would agree from the artwork and matching perspective, it’s better left as is. Doesn’t mean it can’t still run other boards, and it doesn’t need to be a Frankenstein then either. I’ll get another video up at some point once it’s ready to go.
Awesome Historical Find.
Yeah, this was (literally) a big one. It thankfully has needed very little work.
For the marquee and theme: Champion edition was the most iconic game for me, but X-men vs SF would be my second choice. You can’t go wrong. Just clean that baby up and replace the buttons.
Yeah that’s the plan. I think I’m keeping X-Men vs SF. Needs a little bit of work but should ultimately be fine, definitely a weekend cleanup and done.
Sweet pickup! Capcom for life period.
Thanks man!
Keep as is with the Xmen Vs Street Fighter. Looks great!!!
I think that seems to be the popular opinion in the comments, so I likely will do that.
Such a nice machine
Thanks man!
I check Craigslist about twice a day, once in the morning and once at night for Arcade Machines. I missed out on an AVP Big Blue for 200 dollars. I was crushed.
I’ve been there. Last July 4th someone listed an AvP for $300 semi locally. Seller wouldn’t hold it a day for me (which I understand) and it was gone that night. I saw the same cab then show up on forums that week for $1000. The person who picked it up only wanted to flip it, which kind of annoyed me.
My guess was right!!!!! Great cab, iconic
You nailed it!
I want one of these but I know it's a project that would probably be too daunting for me to undertake. Will probably buy a restored one eventually (hopefully)
I’d start with something that works that you can look at and learn from. It can be daunting to just get a project and then try to learn how to do everything. My Neo cab had some issues and while it taught me a lot it was frustrating at times.
Sweet!
Thanks man!
Nice cab. Way cleaner than the Race Drivin on my channel.
Well, I did just have mold and dead rats so they definitely vary lol.
I'm coming over.
Seriously excellent score! I'm only ever after Woodies if they are local for the time being. I can't imagine shipping for something that big would have been cheap. My Dynamo is a back breaker and it's not nearly as big as that.
I would gut and clean that cabinet, recap the monitor, replace all controls. It's a keeper!
Yeah, shipping was almost as much as the cab. The issue is that any time a Big Blue pops up even semi-locally it's gone in an hour or so. The last one I missed out on was July 4th weekend. I just decided to eat the cost since it was on my short list and I had plans for it. I can probably sell the board it in and recover some of the shipping cost too. The plan for the weekend is a final Simple Green wipe down and then to get the Darksoft board and CPS3 loaded. I have to figure out an easy solution for swapping the kick harnesses on those. I do love the Dynamos, they are synonymous with Street Fighter.
Siempre quise mi propio arcade como ese, buen video
Thanks man!
Looks amazing. I’d keep that original marquee in there seeing that it’s pristine.
It’s super clean. I was dead set on changing it out until I saw it in person.
Great pickup! Wasn't in that bad of shape.
No, it’s overall pretty good. There’s an issue with the monitor not degaussing (except manually with a wand) but overall structurally and functionally it’s otherwise great.
Love it. I’d love to have an original Capcom cabinet with Super SF2 in it.
Definitely in the running for me artwork wise. I like the control panel that is the world map.
That's it. Sold. I am getting one ASAP
Do it! Go now. Throw all caution to the wind. Ask for forgiveness from the significant other rather than permission. This is the way.
@@ScarletSprites Haha. I'm scared but will forge ahead.
Overall it looks to be in excellent shape. Doesn't look like it needs any major cosmetic work and monitor looks great.
Yeah exactly, it’s a huge win. Really just needs wiped down more than anything. No major cracks or anything like that.
Yea good stuff bro. I had a SF II Ce Cab back in the day that I purchased at a local arcade auction ($185). It was beat to hell but monitor was in great shape and came with Marvel Super Heroes Vs. SF. Put in alot of work in restoring it and it came out nice but now I would much rather find something that is pretty much good to go that requires minor fixes.
I want a big blue but I’m torn, I’ve grown to prefer candy cabs over my big red so I might just get another candy cab of sorts
I adore the candy cabs as well. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Maybe a Mini Cute would be the best of both worlds if you could find one.
i just fell in love, I have a big red now I need a big blue
It just seems like they are meant to be together, right?
First time I played that Neo Geo machine was at a convenience store and everyone was yelling at each other to get off and let them play.
Those are the memories right? I do recall a lot of that with the non-fighting games because people would hog the machine and quarter feed.
@@ScarletSprites I really enjoyed playing The Super Spy.
At the time I don’t really remember anything like it. Definitely visually intriguing.
@@ScarletSprites en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_Spy
The spatial audio spunded great back in the day. That power supply replacement cable routing was awful. Joystick /button ssues could be used as an excuse when losing rounds.
So many lazy fixes on arcade machines. It’s wild some of the stuff people did haphazardly just to get something to working order.
Did you ask RGT85 how to manage your hair? 😉 Joke aside, lovely machine and I'm very happy that you share videos of it.
I actually thought that myself when I reviewed the footage for editing. I think I have some old Kangols from the late 90s that I can pull out too. There is no end to the nonsense I can do.
@@ScarletSprites keep it up! It's fun 🔥
I bought a CPS2 A Board recently...hunting for dynamo or something like this, but I have never seen this cab in the wild
There was a Big Blue for $300 last July 4th weekend near me. Was gone in an hour though. They don’t usually last when posted cheap.
Lucky bastard. Always wanted a big blue
Thanks man, I will cherish it!
I Love This!!!
Thanks man!
Scarlet Sprites we need a arcade room tour!
Yeah that keeps getting asked. I really need to clean up the basement before that happens, lol.
Waiting on a big blue update video!
The video backlog is huge right now, lol. It’s coming though.
Looks great! Good thing it's not a money pit!
No, this one is all good. Basically 90% there already.
I’m going to pick up the Arcade1up version of this machine lol
Buy two and stack them!
HEY! THAT'S MY PENCIL! GIVE ME BACK MY PENCIL!
Man I don’t even know when the last time was that I used a pencil.
The Big Blue is awesome, even though I am partial to the z-back, mostly for nostalgia reasons. This one seems like it will be a lot less work than the Virtua Racing, although I suspect you paid a bit more for it ;) Have fun!
Yeah, far less work than Virtua Racing. Swapping leds, some CP parts, and a wipe down is a weekend. Virtua Racing was a nearly a year, lol.
Are you sure those were Happ Competition you put in there ? Those look like Happ Ultimate. The white microswitches and that actuator size make it seem like Happ Ultimates , not Happ competition. Beautiful cab though and when the crt works and the game works , makes the process a whole lot easier
They’re a few years old, but I’ve only ever ordered competitions and that’s what the receipt in the box said as well. I noticed the white micros as well though.
Damnit I'm jealous mann!!
Haha, I always try to share as best I can with the people who I know would appreciate this.
@@ScarletSprites 💯
For us average Joes with only a supergun and no Qsound setup, we should just choose mono over Qsound in the CPS2 game settings, right? I know when I connected the RCA out from the CPS2 into my OSSC, the sound was way too soft in certain areas...
Yeah, unless you have an amp. Seems like more trouble than it’s worth to go that route though.
Oh wow! I so want one of those ... Congrats
I know it’s not Neo but I’m glad like you it anyways!
That is a sweet cab man. I love your set up! What did it cost ya?
The cab was $700 but I had to have it shipped unfortunately. Still, not terrible overall and I don’t have to race and fight people for the next Big Blue that pops up semi locally.
@@ScarletSprites that's cool! Does not seem like a crazy price. It looks amazing. That next to the big red is epic
Ok I’m getting one 😎
Do it.
Scarlet Sprites just gotta convince the wife!
Hey, Scarlet. Any update on your Big Blue? I almost pulled the trigger on one this past weekend but it was too much of a project for me to take on at the moment. I have an X-Men vs Street fighter CPS2 board and Marquee that I really want to find a cabinet for.
It’s pretty much finished, just waiting on a piece of vinyl to cut for the bezel. After that it’s good to go!
What size monitors come with the original first versions of big blue?
I want to say they’re all 25” but I’m not 100% on that answer.
Hi epic video! Do you know where i can find Capcom vs Snk 2 Arcade coin op machine for sale? THANK YOU! - James
Great pickup! Now that you have this cab, what are you going to do with the candy cab your existing Darksoft CPS2 is in? Did you find this cab on Craigs List or at a dealer? Looking at the shot with the sticky buttons... in the age of Covid-19, I'll never look at an arcade panel the same. Hahahaha! Also, I 100% agree, the problems you want to have with a used cabinet are controller issues, some of the least intimidating and inexpensive things to remedy... and yes, evidence of insects > rodents.
I'll probably still use the Astro Candy for Jamma games. I have my Konami and PGM boards that are easy enough to connect and disconnect to it. I have seriously thought about rotating the monitor on it though for vertical games. I really would like to have that option in the future. The Big Blue came from a fellow forum member. The cab cost as much as shipping did but it's been difficult to grab a Big Blue semi-locally. They pop up and are gone within an hour or so. Totally agree with you on the control panels. There is an arcade in TX that has been advocating to reopen for weeks now and...yeah, it's maybe one of the last places I'd want to go and put my hands all over things.
I was trying to look up images of what an original XvSF cabinet looked like, as I plan to get the one Arcade1Up's releasing. I noticed the color layout for the buttons go from red, blue, then green going right while the ones on the Arcade1Up go blue, red, then green. I'm assuming the layout on the Arcade1Up are incorrect? I'll probably change the layout since I plan to swap out the buttons anyway with HAPP buttons of the same colors.
I often see it as RGB from left to right, and if you check the arcade manual that’s how Capcom had them laid out for those installing the kit.
@@ScarletSprites That's very good to know! I was very curious about that, but couldn't find any definitive answer. I'll make that adjustment when the time comes.
Dude! That thing is all kinds of glorious. I love CPS2 fighters, even though I suck at them. Noticed the bottom right of the screen has discoloration, like from a magnet. Would that be serviceable without replacing the entire monitor?
Same, I love the games even if I’m not good at them. The bottom right greenish color you see is because for some reason the monitor isn’t auto degaussing. Good eye! I actually solved this today by just using a degaussing wand. No need to take the monitor or replace it. It’s a 30sec fix with the right tool.
Hey man you know if there is a possibility to swap capcom games like street fighter alpha 2, street fighter ex and super street fighter II turbo all 3 games into one capcom cabine just pressing one external button?
You’d need a Jamma switcher and a kick harness condenser board. Monday’s video shows half of what you would need (well, the concept anyway). RiddledTV sells the switchers and the condenser.
How many cabinets do you have now? My cousin had a sit-down Japanese MVS candy cab back in the day. Probably the coolest cabinet ever IMO. He paid $400 for it with some games. I wish he still had it.
The SNK MVS candy cabs are pretty sweet, I’d like to have one of those but boy have they become expensive. I doubt you’d find a working one for $400 these days.
At the end of the day tomorrow (if all goes well) I should have ten cabs in the basement.
I just found your channel and subbed immediately. This is only the second of your videos I've seen, but hit me up if you need the hook up on arcades. I know a few distributors thats ship nationwide and they are constantly getting older cabinets in.
I much appreciate that. I’m sitting on ten machines right now and working on three. There are still a few cabinets I’d like to get though.
Good luck on the projects, I hope you make some videos about the repairs. I just got my 2 slot mvs into my house finally and now im on the hunt for a point blank machine
Is the KI2 cab pretty similar to big blue? Looking at one for sale
I wouldn’t say so, unless you’re speaking generally about having two sticks and six buttons for each player. The speakers, marquee, and overall dimensions of the cabs are pretty different.
Any chance you could list the width and depth and weigh of the cabinet?
I am looking to buy one about 12 hrs away but want to ensure it will fit through my door! I cannot find specs online for this cabinet. All comes up is arcade1up copies.
I can tell you I removed the control panel and it fit through a standard doorway. That’s the case with almost any machine save for some of the oddities like a Laser Ghost.
install dynamic lcd marquee 😁 and leave it as big blue, but im not sure if lcd dynamic marquee will work with darksoft or jamma?
It’s probably a manual change on the marquee. I’m definitely content just rolling with X-men vs SF, or SSF. Probably won’t switch it up any time soon I don’t think.
😍😍😍
My expression exactly when it arrived.
X-men vs street fighter 😍
Hey and do update us on this one . I’d like to see it all dolled up 😁
I will for sure get a finished video up when the time is right! Thanks for checking this out today.
thats great but i am happy with my fpga mister real hardware gaming and it saves allot of space
FPGA will become more important the older this stuff gets. I would eventually like to have a MiSTer that I could run in a Jamma cab.
When ever I come across this machine, there’s one at my local Chuckie Cheese, I can’t pass up throwing a few tokens in.
It’s a tough thing to resist. I always sought out the Big Blues when I wanted to play SF back in the day.
I would say no to Champion Edition art, because these are not the original, non QSound Big Blues that CE came in(Qsound didnt exist yet). I feel CE art only looks right in the OG Big Blue. Another fact is the control panel layout is completely different than the OG Big Blue, so original/reproduction CE CP art would not work unless modified.
I personally think the SSF2 control panel with the Super Turbo Marquee would be best.
The only other orginal designs they really made for that type of big blue panel, IIRC, other than what you got, is the Steel beam/platform texture which came with Xmen vs SF kits, or the Marvel Super Heroes Panel. I don't recall if they made any other CP art.
But yeah, I say Super Turbo marquee with SSf2 art. Or if you use the other geneic Big Blue CP art, I think keeping Xmvsf or an Alpha 2 large Marquee would be sick. As I think those have some of the best Art.
Congrats on the cab too!
Yeah, I’m aware of the OG Big Blue that CE came in. As much as I love that cab I slightly prefer how Q*Sound and the speakers are accented on this version. I mentioned in another comment that I like the marquee and CP on this far more than I thought I would. I was dead set on changing it out and now I’m not so sure I’m going to.
@@ScarletSprites oh yeah for sure. This is the superior Big Blue. Qsound is awesome when the legit Capcom amp is used! And also, the control panel is wider, which is a much nicer bonus, for us guys that have packed on a few pounds since our teenage years =)
+1 on the Super Turbo marquee if you can find an original one. Awesome game that’s still played in tournaments today. I really like the bezel and CP too.
What kind of led bulbs do you have for the coin door?
Those were Yorkim T10 bulbs I bought off Amazon. I just buy them in red, they produce a nice glow.
Scarlet Sprites thanks for the info man!! Looking forward to that full collection video.
I'd keep with the original marquee
Yeah, that’s the decision I ultimately made. I may get a SSF2T repro marquee as an alternate, but I’ve grown to love the original here more than I thought I would.
Out comes the hat.... quarantine hair don’t care lol but yeah, for me the most iconic “big blue” is Super Street Fighter 2
I really have come to appreciate that world map control panel overlay and marquee. CE will always be my favorite, but you’re right, that particular game matches up perfectly with this model cab.
Bejesus that thing is tall. Only one I've seen similar is maybe one sitting in a corner of a pc repair shop that doubled as a gamer lounge with a cover charge before covid
It’s a good 7ft, yeah. Been a long time since I’ve seen one in person. Maybe a few years.
Yeah I think the one I saw was a marvel vs capcom
❤️❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks man!
Is this guy supposed to be like the Adam Ragusea of old video game RUclips?
I don’t know who that is. But if he’s talented, actually has time to make videos, or is otherwise successful on YT then we are nothing alike. Thanks for watching!
