So you yeah if your are offended in anyway I think it could be your own fault. However I think your statement about watching games is more special than playing games is the more interesting bit of your comment.
Since I don't think you can compare gaming with watching games it doesn't entertain you in the same. Since gaming requires the player to interact with the game which makes it more interactive and watching doesn't require anything from the viewer witch makes it a more pasive form of entertainment. I am interested in your view upon gaming games versus watching games.

I mean, after playing stuff like Carl's hot garbage, I Wanna To Be The Guy doesn't seem quite as daunting as it did back in its heyday. The constant barrage of Mario Maker levels and Romhacks has hardened him. ...Plus, the unexpectable and ever changing nature of the obstacles in this game makes a lot of deaths feel like fun and funny surprises rather than upsetting ones.

Practice that ability every day until you can properly do it and keep practicing if you start to slip behind or just practice nonstop for safe measures
Great to see a new popular RUclipsr step foot into IWBTG territory after so long. There's a great niche community, and literally thousands of tributes, made around this game (to this day). May you inspire more Kids to join in your adventure, and die- I mean, fly. ^^

Indeed. People calling them Apples or Cherries kinda frustrates me. But it’s the fact that some people are so persistent about calling them one or the other, and are confidently incorrect, that really annoys me.

Have you tried Celeste before? It's a pretty challenging 2D platformer as well, you probably would really enjoy it!

That game came up a few times during steams. He said that he has played it but regretted playing it on steam because he couldn’t enjoy the story. I can’t remember if he said he planned to go back to it.

I recommend playing "I wanna be the boshy" which is in my opinion the best game of this "series" by far, it's also a lot more skill based while still keeping some trolls here and there but no arbitrary hidden blocks or bs like that.
It also has a HUMONGUS amount of references and inspirations, it's super fun to go through!
Honestly now I would suggest the "I wanna maker" for Dgr on Steam, because its free and is just I wanna be the guy but mario maker.
This is the best episode of DGR content i've seen in months

this game. the memories of this game i put HOURS into this game and got NOWHERE but i also didn't go cherry route more then the one secret if you go down from the game spawn theres more rooms like the room of teleportation you def saw it from above

Ooooooh this game is a double nostalgia trip, originally for all the old classics it references and takes stuff from, and then from actually being an old classic itself by now. Can't wait for more parts, this is pure enjoyment.

I don't remember if DGR ever noticed that some of the save points said WUSS instead of SAVE
The "WUSS" saves only show up if you're playing in Medium. Hard mode removes the "WUSS" saves.
YES PLAY MORE!!! I'm in the middle of going through it and would love to see you beat the clown car boss. I'm really stuck on that and have been for a few months. Please do this more I love it!

Hey dave im very glad you finally played this and I really hope you finish it and once you beat it if you liked it then you should try some iwbtg fangames out one id recommend is “i wanna run the marathon” and as you saw in my sub message theres also a free mario maker type game for iwbtg on steam called “i wanna maker” while the editor is a bit more complex than smm2 you can find and create some great levels theres and you could also do level reqs on it too! Oh and if you do decide to continue iwbtg heres some useful info!: the game runs at 50fps your character moves at 3 pixels per frame and your characters hit bot is a rectangle that is 21 pixels in length (top to bottom) and 11 pixels in width (left to right) so anyways i hope you liked this game and i hope you decide to try out iwbtg fangames and/or i wanna maker i hope you have a good day dave! (Ps also according the the iwbtg community the og iwbtg last time i checked has a difficulty of 41.1/100 where 100 = literally impossible and 0 = literally impossible to not win)

I want to see more! Great playthrough, this game took me many years to finish, although that was mostly cuz I stopped attempting for like 3 of them. Play on Hard to remove the in game bow from your hair.
I forgot whether I ever played this game, and not even the visuals or the level music were enough to remind me. But then I heard that guitar riff that plays when you die and felt a wave of frustration rushing back to me. Yes. I did play it.
What a treat! IWBTG is a classic! I hope you want to finish it! It'd be great. I hear there are two sequels; but I have never even seen a let's play of them. I know they were ran on AGDQ many years ago, however.

That Castlevania song is bloody tears, the Simon's quest version. Its been my ringtone for like 10 years.
In case nobody mentioned this in the Twitch stream: DGR brings up Battle Kid shortly before the Dracula encounter. Battle Kid came much after IWBTG and definitely credits IWBTG as inspiration, so it's no surprise he felt that game was pretty similar. Battle Kid is definitely less trolly though.
This brought me back. I remember playing through Tyson and quitting immediately after.
