  • On 7/4/23. Henderson Police Department received a 911 call for a Unknown Problem Involving A Domestic Dispute. Officers responded to the location and were given information from relatives that it was a disturbance and that the 70 year old suspect had shot and killed his girlfriend and was going to kill himself. Officers quickly staged the Henderson Fire Department (HFD). Units on scene learned that the address they were at was not the scene of where the suspect was. Officers attempted to get a better location of where the actual scene was but the information given was incorrect. Officers quickly were able to get the correct address which was in the 2000 Block of Pepperell Avenue. Units quickly responded to the correct address and began setting up as well as restaging HFD. As more units arrived officers made contact with the suspect over the phone and confirmed he was inside and armed. More units were notified and quickly responded to the scene. The suspect would answer the phone and advise that he was going to exit then hung up multiple times. Units on scene established a Command Post (CP) with unified command with HFD. Officers attempted to negotiate with the suspect for some time but had no luck. With multiple supervisors on scene; Sergeants and Lieutenants, they sent out a Major Incident Notification. SWAT, CNT, and ARMOR were notified and responded to the scene. CNT negotiated with the suspect for servers hours but the suspect would refuse to listen and hang up. Every time the suspect would hang up with CNT they would start announcements over the PA/Loud speaker. Officers learned that the suspect had a AR-15 Rifle inside as well with him. He confirmed that he had his revolver in his right hand. ARMOR sent Robots inside to get a good look into the residence and attempt to locate the suspect and the victim. SWAT and ARMOR formed different options and plans to get the suspect out. They deployed flash bangs then shut off the power and water to the house (Being that it is 90+ Degrees), although the suspect still wouldn’t budge and would not exit. ARMOR planted explosives on the garage and blew it in. The suspect with all of these uncomfortable conditions would still not exit. Officers deployed gas into the residence to get him out. Later on the suspect put his handgun to his head and shot himself. SWAT and ARMOR Breached and made entry into the residence. Units including HFD quickly masked up and made entry to render aid to the suspect. HFD and Officers rendered life saving measures to save the suspect but from the extent of his injuries, he passed away. They also found the female victim who also passed away from multiple gunshot wounds and stab wounds. Henderson Police Department negotiated with the suspect for about 4.5 hours before the suspect took his life. The female victim who was his girlfriend was 61 years old. This incident has since been ruled as a Murder Suicide.

The largest police response I ever saw was roughly 15 years ago when two Deputy Sheriffs were both shot outside of a 2nd floor apt, when they went to take to a suspect into custody, in San Diego County. The first severely wounded deputy ( whom I knew) fell into the apt of the suspect, and the suspect then allowed a State Police officer, who was also on scene with the 2 deputies, to drag him out.
Police from probably 15-20 jurisdictions responded and I heard from local residents that morning, they saw multiple convoys of as many as 20 polices cars headed towards the scene on different highways.
Police filled the side streets for blocks and also several parking lots. It appeared to me about 200 police cars responded.
The wounded deputy, who was a detective, was shot in the left shoulder with a 30.06 deer rifle. The second deputy was also shot with the weapon and suffered a hand wound which was not career ending. The deputy with the shoulder wound was forced to retire. He had served about 18 years.

oh my God, exactly that happened in Brazil when they killed 2 police officers, 4 MILITARY POLICEMEN AND 1 CIVIL POLICEMAN TOGETHER THEY KILLED THE SON OF THE Policeman, and a terrorist attack, I was going home with my mother I was still a child, I saw many vehicles of police there were about 100 to 200 vehicles, the military from the national force, army and federal police also arrived several vehicles from national newspapers, me my mother and the journalists had to enter a super market to protect themselves because the 3 terrorists started exchanging fire with the county police there when the terrorists ran we all left the supermarket in a hurry and went home, a few hours later the Terrorists arrived in the street where I live and started throwing bombs and grenades in the street, I started to cry because I was still a kid, it was scary. 😮

Very nice catches! I believe the new Bearcat is the "Bombcat" model. The larger area with side door at the rear is meant to carry a robot and ramp, and the platform at the front I believe folds down to carry the robot around once on scene without needing to open the doors. I have not seen many of those in existence!

unfortunately yesterday we lost a warrior, a federal police officer was killed in another terrorist attack and left 2 more officers injured, a civilian was blinded with a gunshot wound to the eye and a federal police officer was shot, the federal government sent several federal police officers to the county where I I live to restore order, because there are more than 40 terrorists on the loose spread across the city committing terrorism in the state, the governor is refusing to ask for help from the army to capture the terrorists who are taking away the peace of our local community. I saw passing by my street yesterday, more than 920 police officers spread across more than 230 military and civil police vehicles, k9 federal highway police PRF, POLICE HELICOPTER, AND FEDERAL POLICE. THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE CEMETERY PARKING LOT HAD NO MORE SPACE FOR CARS OR MOTORCYCLES FOR SO MANY VEHICLES AND CLOSED AN ENTIRE BLOCK OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH POLICE VEHICLES, OFFICER LUCAS WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. 5:09 oh my God, exactly that happened in Brazil when they killed 2 police officers, 4 MILITARY POLICEMEN AND 1 CIVIL POLICEMAN TOGETHER THEY KILLED THE SON OF THE Policeman, and a terrorist attack, I was going home with my mother I was still a child, I saw many vehicles of police there were about 100 to 200 vehicles, the military from the national force, army and federal police also arrived several vehicles from national newspapers, me my mother and the journalists had to enter a super market to protect themselves because the 3 terrorists started exchanging fire with the county police there when the terrorists ran we all left the supermarket in a hurry and went home, a few hours later the Terrorists arrived in the street where I live and started throwing bombs and grenades in the street, I started to cry because I was still a kid, it was scary.

Where they do not have to instantly go if a standoff turns into a chace, they get that extra couple seconds to slam the hood and catch up to regular patrol units already in pursuit
